Tottenham urged to sign Gareth Bale on season-long loan transfer from Real Madrid after come-and-get-me plea

SPURS legend Cliff Jones has urged the club to bring fellow Welshman Gareth Bale back to N17.
Double-winning winger Jones remains a massive fan of the club and watched with pride as Bale turned himself into a global superstar in his six seasons at White Hart Lane.

    1

Gareth Bale has been urged to sign for Tottenham on loan
And after Bale responded to his unwanted status at Real Madrid by making a public “get me out of here” plea, Jones suggested Jose Mourinho and Daniel Levy should pounce.
Writing on Twitter, the 85-year-old said: “Come on @SpursOfficial – get @GarethBale11 on a season loan. Would suit all concerned. #COYS”
Bale seems potentially open to a return to Tottenham, and the prospect has got Spurs fans salivating.

While there was frustration when Bale left in a world record breaking £86m move to Madrid in 2013, leaving a hole then-boss Andre Villas-Boas was unable to fill, the passage of time has healed most of those scars.

The fans do recall Bale’s brilliance, sheer exhilaration and goalscoring feats.
And with Mourinho’s side seeking a confirmed winner to potentially take them over the line, Bale would be seen by many as the missing piece in the jigsaw.
Former centre-half Graham Roberts backed fan calls for a Bale return with many believing the Welshman, now 31, would be an inspirational figure – and fired up by a determination to prove Real boss Zinedine Zidane wrong.
The biggest issue of course would be the money with Bale on an estimated £600,000-a-week, more than double the current wages of Spurs’ top earner Harry Kane.

But with Madrid seemingly desperate to get rid of him, even for nothing, Tottenham could consider a package involving a huge signing-on fee and lower salary, or a loan deal with Real making a substantial contribution.
Bale said: “It’s one of those situations if those options arise it’s something I would look at, for sure. We’ll see what happens.
“We have plenty of time in this transfer window and I guess a couple of others as well. Time will tell.
“It’s not really in my hands, the decision is in Real Madrid’s hands. They make things very difficult to be honest.”

Goodland’s photo shows her standing in front of a mirror wearing a long black dress with a beige jacket draped around her shoulders while her hand rests on her bump.
She captioned the post: “Hello bump” with a blue and white heart emoji.
It received more than 14,000 likes and Kane replied with a flame and a heart eyes emoji.

The couple took to Instagram in July to post the results of an elaborate gender reveal.

Kane shared a clip of himself taking a penalty in which he burst a blue football balloon to let the world know they are having a boy.
The England captain had told fans that his childhood sweetheart was pregnant with their third child over the previous weekend.
Kane uploaded a picture of the pair with huge smiles alongside blue and pink balloons in the background.
But he left fans guessing the gender with emojis of a blue and pink heart.

But Kane eventually confirmed his wife is carrying his first son after posting the reveal video on Instagram.
The 27-year-old enjoyed a virtual party as he asked friends and family on Zoom for their predictions.
Kane then stepped up from the penalty spot to confirm that he was expecting a boy as he burst a huge football balloon hanging from the crossbar that exploded in blue smoke.
He captioned the post: “We are having a boy.”
Kane and Katie married in the Bahamas last year after the England skipper proposed on the beach in 2017.

The pair went to school together and Katie has been by his side throughout his meteoric rise to the top.
The loved-up pair currently have two young daughters, Ivy, 3, and Vivienne, 1.
They also have two dogs called Brady and Wilson, named after NFL quarterbacks Tom Brady and Russell Wilson.
Speaking to Esquire, Harry said of Katie: “We went to school together, so she’s seen my whole career. Of course, she’s finding it a little crazy.
“I think she’s even been in the papers a couple of times taking the dogs out.”

Tottenham in talks with Bournemouth over Josh King transfer to provide backup for Harry Kane

TOTTENHAM are in talks with Bournemouth striker Josh King, according to reports.
The North Londoners are in the market for a forward as backup for Harry Kane.

    1

Tottenham are in talks with Bournemouth striker Josh King
And despite having been linked with his Cherries strike partner Callum Wilson in the past, they have now turned their attention to the Norwegian.
King’s agent has gone as far as holding talks with Spurs, according to talkSPORT’s transfer guru Alex Crook.
The 28-year-old is currently on international duty with Norway and will have to quarantine on his return to the UK.

But that has not put Tottenham off as they look for someone to fill Kane’s boots if he is unavailable.

King was previously linked with Manchester United.
But the Red Devils had a £20million bid rejected.
And he was even linked with a shock move to Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month.
SunSport understands the Cherries, who were relegated to the Championship, do not want to sell the striker for less than £25m.

King would prefer to stay in the Premier League but then his next aim will be to play Champions League football for a club on the continent.
French champions Paris Saint-Germain are in next season’s competition and a move to Paris would be appealing for the Norway forward.
Newcastle, Everton and Brighton have also registered their interest in King, who has one year left on his Bournemouth contract.
Spurs also hit headlines earlier today when it emerged Tanguy Ndombele is on Inter Milan’s transfer shortlist.

Spurs’ record £65m signing has disappointed since his arrival in North London last summer but he is reportedly on Inter’s list of desired stars.
Inter are in the market for a midfielder and have recently been linked with Brescia star Sandro Tonali and Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal.
But they cooled their interest in Tonali as Vidal and Ndombele are ahead of him on their priority list, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Vidal is reportedly their No1 midfield target but they could turn to Tottenham’s 23-year-old if they fail to land the Chilean.

Inter Milan offer Tottenham struggler Tanguy Ndombele escape route as they plot transfer

INTER MILAN are considering a shock move for struggling Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, according to reports.
Spurs’ record £65million signing has disappointed since his arrival in North London last summer but he is reportedly on Inter’s list of desired stars.

Inter have an excellent recent record of reviving Premier League stars’ careers.

Former Manchester United players Ashley Young, Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez have all had a renaissance since moving to the San Siro.
And Ndombele could be next having struggled to warrant his eye-watering fee since his switch from Lyon.
Form and fitness restricted Ndombele to just 12 Premier League starts last season.
And he failed to impress new boss Jose Mourinho, missing the final three matches of the season with a hamstring strain.

Barcelona were also said to be keen but Spurs would rather not let Ndombele go.
Tottenham say they have not held talks with any clubs and are willing to give Ndombele another chance to prove his worth next term.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy knows selling him would be too expensive.
The club would be unlikely to recoup all of the over-inflated fee they paid for him.

And they would also have to pay up or come up with a deal to settle the remaining five years of his six-year, £130,000-a-week contract.
Ndombele reportedly told Mourinho he would never play for him again in June.
And soon after it emerged he was “determined” to leave this summer.
Ndombele recently became the latest Premier League star to test positive for coronavirus.

Tottenham’s £45m transfer bid for Nicolo Zaniolo rejected by Roma as Mourinho eyes Italy international playmaker

TOTTENHAM have reportedly had a £45million for Nicolo Zaniolo bid rejected by Roma.
The North London club were linked with a move for the 21-year-old last summer, but nothing materialised.

And according to beIN Sports reporter Tancredi Palmer, Mourinho has made his move.
But chairman Daniel Levy will have to loosen the purse strings a bit more with their initial £45m offer turned down.
Despite Roma’s struggles on and off the pitch this campaign, Zaniolo has been one of their standout players.

In total, the player has chipped in with eight goals and four assists in 33 games in all competitions.

He still has four years left to run on his deal at the Stadio Olimpico.
Spurs’ Premier League rivals Liverpool and Manchester United are also believed to be sniffing around.
Ligue 1 champs Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with Zaniolo too.
The creative midfielder won his first senior cap for Italy during the 2-0 win over Finland in March 2019.

The Premier League opening day fixtures for 2020-21 have been revealed

He has gone on to feature five times in total, scoring twice.
Spurs are reportedly edging closer to signing Wolves star Matt Doherty for £15million.
The 28-year-old has been at Molineux since 2010.
Mourinhois said to have been particularly impressed with his performances with the Midlands side since they have been back in the Premier League.

Tottenham near £15m Matt Doherty transfer as Wolves line up moves for Maitland-Niles and Valencia ace Correia

TOTTENHAM are reportedly edging closer to signing Wolves star Matt Doherty for £15million.
And Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are lining up Arsenal star Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Valencia’s Thierry Correia as replacements.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are eyeing Ainsley Maitland-Niles as a replacement
Spurs are reportedly looking for a new right-back to enable Serge Aurier to leave if an acceptable bid comes in.
And Irish international Doherty is Jose Mourinho’s No1 target in that position, according to the Telegraph.
The 28-year-old has been at Molineux since 2010.

And the Spurs boss is said to have been particularly impressed with his performances with the Midlands side since they have been back in the Premier League.

Doherty played right wing-back for Nuno last season in a 5-2-3 formation.
But it is unclear whether Mourinho is planning to use him in a four or five-man defence.
Wolves are close to agreeing a £20million deal with Arsenal to sign Maitland-Niles, who can play in midfield or in Doherty’s place.
The versatile 22-year-old played a huge part in the Gunners’ FA Cup final win over Chelsea at Wembley earlier this month.

However, despite the fact he still has three years remaining on his current Emirates deal, one of Arsenal’s brightest young talents has made it clear he is interested in a move to Molineux.
Although Maitland-Niles made 32 appearances for the Gunners last season he never felt he was central to Mikel Arteta’s plans and would remain on the periphery if he remains.
Wolves will not stop with Maitland-Niles though and are hoping to also land right-back Correia for less than £10m.

    3

Wolves are also lining up a move for Valencia right-back Thierry Correia
The 21-year-old can leave Valencia as they try to combat the financial impact of coronavirus.
He only arrived from Sporting Lisbon last summer for £11m.
But after 11 appearances during his first campaign at the Mestalla he will reportedly head for the exit door in the coming weeks.

Tottenham will NOT sell Harry Kane this summer as Jose Mourinho prepares to build new look Spurs

JOSE MOURINHO has received assurances from Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy that the club will NOT have to sell Harry Kane this summer.
The North Londoners have been left reeling by the Corona Crunch after a string of concerts and sporting events at their new £1billion stadium were cancelled.

    1

Jose Mourinho says Spurs do not have to sell Harry Kane this summer
After taking out a £175million bridging loan from the Bank of England, there were fears the club might have to cash in on star striker Kane and other key players to avoid plunging even further into the red.
They also have a staggering £852MILLION stadium loan to repay.
But manager Mourinho said: “Have I had assurances I will not need to sell key players this summer? Yes.”
Tottenham travel to Crystal Palace for their final Premier League match of the season tomorrow, still hoping to qualify for the Europa League.

Mourinho knows with no Champions League football next season, he will have to cut his cloth accordingly in the transfer market.
He said: “There will be small changes — a big overhaul needs a lot of money.
“I don’t think there are many clubs ready to buy, buy, buy — the ones that are going to is because they can do it with or without FFP.

“If they do it, it’s because they feel they can do it.
“We know what we can do and what is not possible to do.
“We don’t want to sell our important players and that immediately is a limitation because by not selling big players you also don’t have big incomings.
“So we are going to be very balanced but again the objective is to improve the squad. I’m totally convinced we’re going to manage.
“Sometimes a club can improve by giving a better balance to the squad. So we are very calm and our squad next season will be better than this season.”
Mourinho welcomes back Dele Alli after injury and Eric Dier from suspension for their trip to the Eagles.
It has been a turbulent season but a relaxed Mourinho, looking more like his old self, is still managing to bring the curtain down with a smile as he insisted he has nothing to prove.

He said: “I am the champion of the last five matches. You can give that medal now — champion of the last five matches, 13 points.
“I try to do my best all the time, I’m not worried about proving or not, I try to do the best all the time.
“My most important match is the next one and my most important season is the next one.
“It’s not anything that can come from outside that’s going to motivate me more or less or put more or less pressure on me, it’s just my nature. I don’t need that.
“So I look forward to next season, I want very much to start next season and that’s my nature.

“It has been a very difficult season for Tottenham with injuries to Hugo Lloris and Harry Kane.
“Do we think that next season we’re going to be less unlucky?
“Yes, but at the same time we need to try and protect ourselves — and to protect ourselves is to build a better squad, with a little bit more balance so we can face these negative things.”
