How Ten Hag should treat players
Erik ten Hag needs to treat all Man United players the same, Paul Parker claims.
He told indiabetting.co.in: “I think someone who comes in and just talks and doesn’t stutter and does not make eye contact. I would imagine, he knows all that stuff, it’s all the part of management. Hopefully, he is going to be a manager and not just a head coach.”
“Not someone who’s gonna walk in and start looking around and going “well, he’s earned that much money, he’s earned that much money,” and you think: Oh, I can’t have a go at him because he sells so many shirts and he’s got so many followers on Instagram.”
“Go in there, everyone is in exactly the same boat and you treat all of them the same, nothing different, and that’s the bit that I would be looking for.”
What Ten Hag needs to do
Erik ten Hag needs to stamp his authority at Man United immediately, according to Paul Parker.
Parker told indiabetting.co.in: “I think it’s the same thing for any job really, establishing authority. You know, you walk in your first day into any job, I mean, it’s gonna be difficult.
“The first thing; your first team talk, your first group talk, your squad talk, that’s your most important one. It is the one that makes you or breaks you. It Is the one where anybody who will have a bad attitude will be looking for an excuse to dig into him. He’s got to let everyone know, that he’s not gonna suffer any problems.
“It’s as simple as that. He’s come across there. His reputation is at stake as well. You know he’s a well-known man in his own country. He’s managed a very successful club, a big club, a renowned club and he surely hasn’t gone to Manchester United to ruin all that.”
“He’s in a position now, where it’s gonna make him or break him. That’s what Manchester United has done to the previous four or five managers, I’ve lost count now. So, he’s got to go in there and do something different to all of them.
“If he hasn’t been given the license to do it, just grab it. Just grab it now and just say I’m gonna take it and if you don’t like it get rid of me. He can’t have people messing him about. He can’t have people who are not going to give him a hundred per cent.”
    Juventus plan Prem raid
Juventus chief Federico Cherubini has reportedly arrived in London as he looks to secure a deal for Chelsea’s Jorginho.
The Italian giants appear to have won the race to sign Manchester United’s Paul Pogba on a free transfer when the Frenchman’s contract expires next month.
And the 29-year-old could be lining-up alongside Jorginho when he returns to Turin next term.
Todd Boehly’s consortium hope to complete their takeover of Chelsea by the end of the month, which will finally allow them to get back in the game transfer wise.
However, a big-name departure could be the first topic of conversation, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
They state that Juventus have made Italy international midfielder Jorginho, 30, one of their top targets and have now begun their attempt to get him.
    Charlie Savage signs long-term deal
Charlie Savage has signed a long-term contract with Man United.
Robbie Savage’s son said on Instagram after penning the deal: “Great way to end an amazing season. Delighted to sign a long-term contract with this special club.
“Thank you to my family for their support, without them this would never have been possible.
“Also, a big shoutout to the @neweraglobalsports team for help making this happen, especially to Jake, Chris and Rio.
“Time for a short break before going again and giving everything to keep pushing forward.”
Wan-Bissaka allowed to leave Man Utd, say reports
Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be allowed to leave permanently or on loan, report Sky Sports.
Wan-Bissaka, 24, has endured a difficult campaign at Old Trafford.
The full-back has started only 25 games with Diogo Dalot being preferred of late.
SunSport exclusively revealed last week that ex-United manager Jose Mourinho is keen on Wan-Bissaka for Roma.
Crystal Palace, who sold Wan-Bissaka to United for £50million in 2019, would be open to re-signing him.
The full-back is also drawing admiring glances from Spanish giants Atletico Madrid.
Dean Henderson in Newcastle to discuss move
Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson is “closing in on a move” to Newcastle United.
The Manchester Evening News claim that Henderson, 25, was in Newcastle for talks on Wednesday.
Discussions have been held over a loan deal but a permanent move has “not been ruled out”.
Van der Gaag and McClaren to be part of coaching staff, say reports
Erik ten Hag is claimed to want Mitchell Van der Gaag as his assistant at Old Trafford.
Van Der Gaag is likely to be the man tasked with helping Ten Hag salvage the sinking ship at Manchester United as his No2.
And reports say that Steve McClaren will also be re-joining the club.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano tweeted: “Mitchell van der Gaag and Steve McClaren will be part of new Man Utd coaching staff, confirmed.
“Full agreement at final stages and set to be signed with both of them.
“#MUFC Official statement for McClaren to join United could be next week, as @MrStephenHowson reports.”
    United’s transfer struggles
Former Man United star Teddy Sheringham reckons the Red Devils have fallen down the pecking order as a destination for big players.
Sheringham made the claims whilst discussing United’s interest in Harry Kane.
The former England striker told Genting Casino: “Manchester United are falling down the pecking order for big players, but having said that, they are still a massive club, they’re still a massive draw.
“If they do come calling, it’ll be hard to turn them down. Even if they’re not in any European competitions next season, it would still be a very tough thing to say no to Manchester United.”
United should sell Henderson, says Paul Parker
Ex-England international Paul Parker said that Dean Henderson will refuse to sit on the bench again all season.

In a chat with indiabetting.co.in, the former United defender was asked whether Man Utd should sell Dean Henderson to rivals Newcastle.
    Parker said: “I personally do.
“Give him the opportunity and go and prove it. You can prove it at Newcastle with the pressure on him from their fans.
“If he’s got an opportunity to play regular football, he’s gonna want it.
“He’s not gonna be sitting down, his ego is not allowing him.”
Pogba to re-join Juve, say reports
Juventus have reportedly offered Paul Pogba £120,000-a-week wages to re-join them this summer, writes Anthony Chapman.
But the Manchester United exile could scupper a free transfer as he seeks a higher salary from his former side.
Goal claims Juventus have a three-year contract on the table for Pogba, 29 – despite the Italians claiming they have a “gentleman’s agreement” to talk with United first.

The midfielder spent four years in Turin between 2012 and 2016, winning four titles and two Italian Cups.
And fallen giants Juve, guaranteed to finish fourth on Saturday, want Pogba 2.0 to resurrect their Serie A ambitions next term.
However, issues remain over the Frenchman’s wage demands.
Ronaldo still has key role at Man Utd, says Winterburn
Cristiano Ronaldo will still offer huge value to Manchester United next season, claims Nigel Winterburn.
The Arsenal legend would be stunned to see Ronaldo leave the Red Devils after just one year back at Old Trafford, writes Etienne Fermie.
Ronaldo, 37, has been linked with a summer exit amid uncertainty over his role under incoming boss Erik ten Hag.

Winterburn, 58, told Paddy Power: “Manchester United won’t just bring Cristiano Ronaldo in for one season and ship him out so quickly, it just won’t happen.
“He still offers huge value to Manchester United, and we’ve seen that in his goalscoring record. His age is but a number.
“He has huge experience, and he could play an important role if United opt to go down the younger route in setting an example of how to train and play, as well as what it means to win and lose.
“He can help those younger players around the training ground and if he can accept that, he might be used in a slightly different way and have less game time.
“It doesn’t surprise me that he’s still there. If you have someone of his quality, you have to use them and use them in the right system.
“I believe there’s a role for him to play next season at United, he’s a superstar.”
Man Utd transfer target Antony sends message to Ten Hag
Manchester United transfer target Antony promised to “always stand” with his Ajax boss Erik ten Hag.
The Dutch manager has taken charge of his final match with the Amsterdam giants.
as revealed by SunSport, winger Antony could be top of the Man Utd wishlist.

In a farewell video message for the departing boss, Antony – who is reportedly keen to test himself in England – said: “I want to wish you all the best at your new club.
“I also want to thank you for everything you taught me.
“I am thankful all the opportunities and learning every day.
“Know that I will always stand with you if you need me.”
Ten Hag brought Antony to Ajax in 2020 and the forward, 22, has racked up 22 goals and 20 assists in his 79 appearances as well as two Eredivisie titles.
Man Utd fan campaign to ‘Boycott Adidas’
Manchester United fans have ramped up their anti-Glazer tactics by starting a “#BoycottAdidas” trend on Twitter.
Some United supporters threatened not to wear Adidas products until the Glazers sell the club.
Adidas are the club’s official kit manufacturers.

Fan group The 1958 revealed on Wednesday night that they would be targeting a different stakeholder each week.
They wrote on Twitter: “Calling all reds! Tonight we launch our worldwide cyber campaign against the Glazer stakeholders.
“Each week we’ll be focusing on one Stakeholder at a time and posting two easy tasks every few days that week.
“This week we start with: Adidas.
“Do your bit, save your club.”
    Ten Hag in England
Erik Ten Hag has arrived in London on a private jet and could attend Manchester United’s final game of the season, writes ETIENNE FERMIE.
The Dutchman flew in on Wednesday afternoon alongside assistant Mitchell van der Gaag.
The duo had previously been working for the Red Devils remotely, so as not to distract from Ralf Rangnick’s preparations for United’s final game of the season against Crystal Palace.
According to the Mail, Ten Hag and Van der Gaag could be in attendance at Selhurst Park to watch their new side in action.
Both men are expected to meet with Red Devils colleagues today.
Rangnick, however, will continue preparing United for Sunday’s final match.
    Good morning Man United fans
Manchester United will have to pay £30million to bring Jurrien Timber to Old Trafford this summer.
That’s the understanding of transfers journalist Ekrem Konur, who understands that Ajax have set an asking price of €35m – approximately £30m – for the 20-year-old.
Meanwhile, United are preparing for a three-way fight with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
The Lazio star has been linked with Old Trafford for several months, but The Mail are reporting that the Red Devils are now ready to make a move for the midfielder.
Elsewhere, Erik ten Hag is plotting to hijack AC Milan’s deal to sign Sven Botman, reports suggest.
Milan are reportedly on the verge of sealing a £25 million transfer for the defender.
But it’s been reported that Ten Hag is planning a last-minute grab to pinch the 22-year-old.
Finally, PSG and Juventus are locked in a battle to sign Paul Pogba.
Pogba’s contract with United expires this summer.
And it had been reported he had agreed terms with Juve.

“I also want to thank you for everything you taught me. I am thankful all the opportunities and learning every day.
“Know that I will always stand with you if you need me.”
‘McClaren will be a good addition’
Steve McClaren will be a great help to Erik ten Hag at Man United.
McClaren’s being lined up for a return to United as a coach.
And Rio Ferdinand reckons McClaren will be able to steer Ten Hag in the right direction.
He said: “I think he’ll be a good addition. What’s good with ten Hag is that he’s already got a relationship from before.
“And he will be able to steer him in the right direction.”
Man City enter Phillips transfer race
Man City have reportedly entered the transfer race to sign Leeds star Kalvin Phillips – with the ace allegedly set to snub rivals Man United.
West Ham had a club record £50m bid for Leeds United’s Phillips rejected in the January window but are set to try again this summer.
And the 26-year-old could be available at a cut price if the Elland Road club drop to the Championship.
Manchester United and Aston Villa are also both interested in Phillips with Steven Gerrard having had his own bid for the Yorkshire Pirlo knocked back during the winter window.
Now the Daily Mirror state that City have emerged as contenders for the England international.
    Barca track wonderkid
Barcelona are planning to make an offer for Palmeiras wonderkid Endrick.
That’s according to SPORT, who claim Barca hope to buy Endrick when he turns 16 in July and signs a professional contract with the Brazilian outfit.
He would then remain with Palmeiras until he’s 18, and then join Barca in 2024, the report adds.
It’s also claimed that Barca plan to table an offer with a fixed sum plus a variable component depending on the youngster’s progression.
The news will be a blow to Man United who have also been tracking Endrick.
    Man United get transfer boost
Man United transfer target striker Sasa Kalajdzic is set to leave Stuttgart this summer.
Stuttgart’s chief Sven Mislintat said to Bild about the attacker: “As things stand, we have to generate another significant transfer surplus in this summer of transfers.
“So nothing other than the renewed objective of staying in the league is realistic for me. Especially if you take into account the quality of the already determined promoted teams.
“It would be outstanding if we can keep Sasa as a player and guy in our team. However, in my estimation, this is not very likely.”
    Pogba transfer battle
PSG and Juventus are locked in a battle to sign Paul Pogba.
Pogba’s contract with United expires this summer.
And it had been reported he had agreed terms with Juve.
But now, the Daily Star claims Pogba’s weighing up offers from the Italian giants and PSG.
    Gakpo speaks on future
PSV ace Cody Gakpo has revealed he’s open to a transfer if he’s guaranteed regular football amid interest from Arsenal, Liverpool and Man United.
But with the World Cup looming, Gakpo declared he’s yet to make a decision on his future this summer.
Gakpo told De Telegraaf: “Anything can happen this summer. I will now calmly compare all the options and see what is best for me. Staying another year is also an option.
“It would be a shame if I went somewhere where I wouldn’t get a [game] at all and I could miss the World Cup. I’ll keep that in mind.”
    Lingard praises United youngsters
Jesse Lingard was full of praise for Man United’s young stars who won the FA Youth Cup.
Lingard told United’s media: “It’s brilliant. I think it’s been a long time coming.
“With the team that they had, I’m sure they must have had confidence in the way they got through to the final and getting the job done.
We knew how hard it was when we were playing in the Youth Cup. We had a lot of tough games but we stuck together and played the Man United way.
“They did that, they stuck to their task and they won the Youth Cup, which is a huge honour.”

A season-long loan deal is the most likely option for the England international, 25.
But a permanent transfer to Eddie Howe’s side has not been ruled out either.
Newcastle failed with an attempt to sign Henderson on loan in January, with Martin Dubravka offered in the other direction.
And they have returned with a fresh offer to finally land the stopper this summer.

Henderson played 26 times for United last term.
But he’s made just three appearances this season, with zero coming in the Premier League.
And Henderson is eager to get regular minutes under his belt ahead of the World Cup later this year.
He is currently tied down to United until 2025 after penning a deal less than two years ago.

And SunSport understands the Old Trafford club are ready to cover some of Henderson’s mammoth £120,000-a-week wages.
There is additional interest in the keeper from newly-promoted duo Fulham and Bournemouth.
But Newcastle have several other options should they miss out on Henderson.
Chelsea’s Kepa Arrizabalaga and Arsenal’s Bernd Leno are on Howe’s radar.
    HOWE’S NEW TOON
And the Toon boss is also keeping tabs on West Brom’s Sam Johnstone.
Regardless of who he signs though, Howe is confident he can land top targets through the loan market.
Howe said: “We had Matty Targett and that’s an example of how well the market can work.
“I’m certainly not against it, I love and have used the loan market in the past. It’s about getting the right player and if that means it’s a loan, it’s a loan.

Ajax star’s message to Ten Hag
Ajax star Antony has hinted that he’s willing to follow Erik ten Hag to Man United.
Antony said to Ten Hag in a video message: “I want to wish you all the best at your new club.
    Ten Hag plans Botman swoop
Man United boss Erik ten Hag is plotting to hijack AC Milan’s deal to sign Sven Botman, reports suggest.
Milan are reportedly on the verge of sealing a £25 million transfer for the defender.
But it’s been reported that Ten Hag is planning a last-minute grab to pinch the 22-year-old, Football Insider claim.
The report states that Botman was one of the names mentioned when Ten Hag met with United director of football John Murtough last week.
    Ten Hag’s strength’s discussed
Erik ten Hag’s strength lies in working with youngsters as opposed to older players.
And the Dutchman will thrive at Old Trafford if he sticks with the up and coming stars, Paul Parker thinks.
He told indiabetting.co.in: “That was his (Erik ten Hag’s) strength for Ajax.”
“United have always been that way under Sir Alex. That’s the way he was, he was always looking to bring young players in the dressing room and tell us all they are gonna take your place.”
“In my case, he was a hundred percent right with Gary Neville.”
    Garnacho tipped for super stardom
Parker also reckons can become a global star at Man United like Eric Cantona and Ruud Van Nistelrooy.
He added to indiabetting.co.in: “(Alejandro) Garnacho will mostly get an opportunity to be training regularly and be filtered in. Maybe that will affect some of the egos of the players that are already there, but the right players.
“It’s Manchester United, maybe taking a step back, in the sense of not go be going out and buying players commercially, actually trying to make them commercially viable, which is the way it was before.
“I always look at Ruud van Nistelrooy coming from PSV, no one really knew him. When he left Manchester United everyone in the world knew him. And that’s how Sir Alex Ferguson did it.
“Eric Cantona became a big name when he came to Manchester United. Yes, he was known at Leeds cause he helped them win the last league championship. But when he came to Manchester United, Manchester United and Sir Alex made him global.
“And there’s been many a player like that, Andy Cole to a point. Became global when he came to Manchester United. And that’s what Sir Alex did and that’s what the club is about now.”
    Ten Hag’s manager credentials examined
Erik ten Hag isn’t the right man for the Man United job if he doesn’t give Alejandro Garnacho a shot at first-team football.
That’s according to Paul Parker who told indiabetting.co.in: “There is an opportunity for him (Alejandro Garnacho) because of the new manager coming in.”
“The manager coming in will integrate him and other young players because that’s what he does.”
“It’s an easy thing for him, that’s what he does and if he doesn’t do that, then Manchester United have got the wrong kind of manager.”
    Salford City job shock
Man United under-23 coach Neil Wood is the shock choice for the Salford City job, ALAN NIXON WRITES.
The League Two outfit’s Class of 92 owners see Wood as the solution to their problem after failing to land Michael Appleton.
Wood has been working at United for the last three years after spending most of his playing career there as a squad understudy.
The former midfielder has cut his teeth with the youngsters at Old Trafford and will now move up to senior level.
The links between Salford owners Gary Neville, Nicky Butt and Paul Scholes and their old club is strong and this could help sign players from United.
    Ten Hag plans Ajax raid
Lisandro Martinez is the latest Ajax star tipped to make the move to Manchester United along with Erik ten Hag.
The Argentina centre-half has been added to incoming Red Devils boss Ten Hag’s wish list, according to The Telegraph.
The 24-year-old moved from Argentina club football to join the Dutch giants in 2019 and has helped win two Eredivisie titles.
The Telegraph article points out Martinez is adept at playing out from the back and suited to Ten Hag’s ‘one-v-one defensive tactic’.
The six-cap star has three seasons left on his Ajax deal and is valued at about £25million.
    De Jong given career advice
Frenkie de Jong has been urged to snub Man United and remain with Barcelona by Steve McManaman.
The ex-Liverpool star told HorseRacing.net: “For him to go to Manchester United then I think they’d have to pay him more than he’s earning at Barcelona.
“Which I think will be a really hard thing to do considering that he went to Barcelona for a huge amount of money.
“You’d rather stay at Barcelona in the Champions League with Xavi trying to change things around.
“Players like [Andreas] Christensen and [Robert] Lewandowski potentially coming in makes that a more exciting challenge in my opinion.”
    Betting suspended on Wood appointment
Manchester United’s U23 coach Neil Wood is set to take his first steps into senior management by being appointed boss of League Two Salford City.
The 39-year-old was a 9/2 shot for the job overnight, but firm Paddy Power have suspended betting this afternoon after a string of wagers were placed on the former Blackpool and Oldham player.
The position is vacant after Salford parted company with Gary Bowyer at the end of the season after the club failed to make the play-offs.
The Ammies are owned by United’s ‘Class of 92′ that include the Neville brothers, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and David Beckham.
    United in battle for Sergej
Manchester United are preparing for a three-way fight with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
The Lazio star has been linked with Old Trafford for several months, but The Mail are reporting that the Red Devils are now ready to make a move for the midfielder.
However, United’s hopes of landing the Serbian have been hampered by the calibre of the other clubs in for him – especially considering Milinkovic-Savic’s main reason for wanting to leave the Stadio Olimpico is Lazo’s failure to reach the Champions League.
The 27-year-old capped another impressive season in the Italian capital with an injury time equaliser at Juventus on Monday.

    Kante would improve United midfield
N’Golo Kante is guaranteed to improve the Manchester United midfield if the Red Devils are able to tempt the 31-year-old to Old Trafford this summer.
United have been heavily linked with the Frenchman over the past few days, and Paul Parker believes the deal would be a no-brainer should it present itself.
The former England international believes that Kante could fulfil the role that current United midfielders struggle with.
In conversation with indiabetting.co.in, Parker said of Kante: “He will improve Manchester United’s midfield a hundred per cent because he can go and get the ball off of players without always fouling them.
“He doesn’t go around looking to hurt people and when he does get the ball, he keeps the ball.”
    Timber transfer will cost £30m
Manchester United will have to pay £30million to bring Jurrien Timber to Old Trafford this summer.
That’s the understanding of transfers journalist Ekrem Konur, who understands that Ajax have set an asking price of €35m – approximately £30m – for the 20-year-old.
Incoming United boss Erik ten Hag has hinted that he would love to bring Timber with him from Amsterdam, but admitted that many of Europe’s top club will be monitoring the Dutch international’s movements.
Timber mainly operates as a centre-back, but has also filled in admirably at right-back when required this season.

    Mourinho wants another Matic reunion
Jose Mourinho wants to link up with Nemanja Matic for a third time by bringing the midfielder to Roma, according to reports in Italy.
Mourinho, who previously managed the Serbian at both Chelsea and Manchester United, has made no secret of his admiration for Matic.
The 33-year-old is out of contract at Old Trafford this summer, and looks nailed on for a move to the Italian capital on a free.
    Henderson relishing loan move away
Dean Henderson is nearing an Old Trafford exit – but only temporarily, according to The Telegraph.
The 25-year-old goalkeeper had been expected to leave Manchester United the summer after failing to wrestle the number one spot from David de Gea.
Newcastle United have been heavily linked with the stopper, but even the oil-rich Magpies have baulked at the Red Devils’ £40million asking price.
Henderson has three years remaining on his £110,000-per-week deal at Old Trafford, but is not keen on spending another season on the substitutes’ bench.
    United could do the Botman
Manchester United are considering a summer swoop for centre-back Sven Botman, according to the Football Insider.
The Lille defender has been heavily linked with a move to AC Milan, but reports now suggest that the Red Devils could beat the Italian giants to the 22-year-old.
Erik ten Hag has already begun discussing transfer targets with United officials, and has reportedly made a left-sided centre-half a priority.
Botman has earned many plaudits during his two seasons at Stade Pierre Mauroy, and was heavily linked with both Newcastle and Tottenham during the January transfer window.
The Dutch U21 international has three years remaining on his contract with the Ligue 1 outfit.

    Good morning Man Utd fans
Erik ten Hag will “work remotely” this week after moving to Manchester on Monday.
The Dutchman is already in town just days after leading Ajax to title glory.
But Ten Hag will stay away from Carrington and Old Trafford until Ralf Rangnick has taken charge of United’s final game against Crystal Palace.
The Manchester Evening News adds Ten Hag does not want to “distract” players as they look to secure a Europa League finish.
Meanwhile, Dutch legend Marco van Basten has urged Erik ten Hag to sign Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech for Man United.
Ziyech and Ten Hag worked together at Ajax, with the Moroccan a key player in his XI.
And with the playmaker struggling for minutes at Chelsea, Van Basten believes a reunion should be on the cards.
He said: “What comes to my mind now is that I think Ziyech who already plays in England could be a very good footballer at Manchester United for Erik.”
Elsewhere, Juventus deny they held talks with Man Utd star Paul Pogba over a free transfer.
Chief executive Maurizio Arrivabene said: “Pogba is a United player, respect first of all goes to him and his team.
“His agents are the same as [Moise] Kean and [Luca] Pellegrini, it is normal to meet them. The subject today was not Pogba.
“If we wanted to talk to Pogba we must talk to United first, it’s a gentleman’s agreement between the clubs.”
Finally, Man United have been dealt a huge blow in their pursuit of Matthijs de Ligt.
United have been linked with a summer move for the Juventus defender.
But the centre-back has reportedly penned a new deal with the Serie A giants until 2026, according to Diario Sport.
    Ronaldo joins Chesire gym

He started preparations with United this week before officially taking over from Ralf Rangnick after the end of the season.
And part of his mammoth task will be to oversee the transfer window.
Plenty of Ajax stars past and present are being linked with the Red Devils – such as Lisandro Martinez and Frenkie de Jong.
But as revealed by SunSport, winger Antony could be top of the wishlist.

Ten Hag brought Antony to Ajax in 2020 and the forward, 22, has racked up 22 goals and 20 assists in his 79 appearances as well as two Eredivisie titles.
However, the new United gaffer may face competition from rivals Liverpool for his star’s signature.
Chelsea, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with Antony in recent months.
Ajax defender Daley Blind admitted his side have a tough task keeping hold of their top players.
The former United man said: “I don’t think Ajax will let players go that easily. You have to have a team next year that will compete again in the Champions League and for the title.
“If the main price is paid for Sebastien Haller or Antony, then Ajax will accept it, but I don’t think Ajax wants to sell many players. I hope most of them just stay.” More

David Beckham’s little-known link to Nottingham Forest hero Brennan Johnson with Man Utd legend following his career

Brice Samba was the hero in the 3-2 pens victory but Johnson also showed his nerve by slotting home a spot-kick as Forest reached the May 29 final with Huddersfield for a place in the Premier League.
Johnson was beaming with delight afterwards.
His Instagram post ‘Off to Wembley with my family’ – accompanied by a pic of the Welshman sitting between team-mates Djed Spence and Alex Mighten – was liked by David Beckham.
Johnson’s dad David, who was at the City Ground on Tuesday night, is a close pal of Beckham having both come through the Manchester United youth ranks as members of the Class of ’92.

And former England captain Beckham takes a big interest in the progress of the highly-rated Wales international, who is destined for the Prem either with Forest or elsewhere.

As a result of reaching Wembley, Johnson as well as Huddersfield’s Sorba Thomas will miss Wales’ training camp in preparation for their World Cup play-off final against Scotland or Ukraine on June 5.

United are also aiming to strengthen their back-line as they have now begun talks with Ajax full-back, Jurrien Timber according to reports.
Another integral part of the Ajax team in Antony could also be on his way to Old Trafford and reports suggest that he prefers a move to either Man United or Liverpool this summer.
And both of those incomings would bode well as the man who managed them last season – Erik Ten Hag, has arrived in Manchester to start his new role.

Cristiano Ronaldo has stunned local residents by reportedly joining a plush £255-a-week gym in Cheshire.
The Manchester United star has signed up for the exclusive Cpase health club in Knutsford.
He has been spotted there by surprised members a number of times over the last week alongside long-term partner Georgina Rodriguez, according to the Telegraph.
    Ferdinand slams Man United
Rio Ferdinand has slammed Man United for how they say goodbye to long-serving players.
Ferdinand said on his podcast: “I think United are one of the worst at doing it.
“You see clubs abroad when players who have given big chunks of their career, been successful to the clubs, the send-offs they get are phenomenal and rightly so.
“United don’t really treat it with the kind of importance you see at other clubs. I’m not saying you deserve it but sometimes when you feel you’ve given a lot of yourself to a football club, it’s a nice way to go.”
Ferdinand’s views come after Jesse Lingard revealed his upset over not being given a proper send-off at Old Trafford.
    Man United transfer boost
Man United transfer target Nikola Milenkovic isn’t good enough to play for Juventus who are also interested in the defender.
That’s the view of Italy defender Pietro Vierchowod who formed his verdict after watching Milenkovic’s performance for Fiorentina against Sampdoria.
“I have to say I was watching Sampdoria-Fiorentina yesterday and I don’t believe Milenkovic is good enough for Juventus.
“Obviously, this is just my personal opinion. He conceded four goals against a side that is already safe and with such basic errors, that’s just not possible.
“The Serbian has a good physique, but if I was the Bianconeri, I wouldn’t go for him.”
    De Jong transfer possiblilty
Barcelona president Joan Laporta has refused to rule out a transfer exit for Frenkie De Jong.
The Barca chief will instead let club boss Xavi make the final decision on De Jong’s whereabouts next season.
He said: “We will do what is best for the club. If the economic levers that we want to activate come off, no player will leave for economic reasons.
“I insist. Let the sports management work. There are players who are quoted to have received offers.
In the sports area, Xavi and Mateu Alemany rule and he ends up deciding the club’s sports management.
“I will follow what the professionals of the club say.”
    Pogba ‘agrees’ Juventus move
Paul Pogba has agreed to join Juventus – but only in principle.
That’s according to journalist Jacque Talbot who claims Pogba has a deal in principle with Juve.
Although the report claims PSG are hoping to impede on the deal by offering Pogba a more lucrative contract.
Player of the Year list thoughts
Rio Ferdinand thinks Cristiano Ronaldo should be on the Player of the Year list ahead of Bukayo Saka.
Speaking on the list. Ferdinand fumed: “Saka’s in the Player of the Year nominees?.
“I wouldn’t have had Saka in there yet, as well as he’s done.
“I wouldn’t have had him over Ronaldo, no, not this season. Ronaldo should be in ahead of three of four of those guys in there.
“‘He probably doesn’t win it but in terms of nominees, it’s laughable. He’ll take it as a disrespect but these are the things that fuel him, he’ll be thinking, ‘how dare you?’”
    Anthony Martial’s Sevilla woes
Man United outcast Anthony Martial has not had the best of times during his loan spell in Sevilla, suffering a fresh injury blow ahead of the season finale next weekend.
Martial, who joined the Spaniards on loan from Manchester United in January, has struggled for form and playing time, even being the subject of jeers from his own fans.
Having made 12 appearances for the team this season, including nine in La Liga, many might have expected a fresh start to reignite the Frenchman’s stuttering career.
However, just one goal and assist has failed to showcase the type of form he would want to display to either convince Erik ten Hag to give him more minutes at Man United or for a transfer bid to come in.
A fresh injury blow he sustained during a 23 minute cameo against RCD Mallorca kept him out of action as Sevilla drew 1-1 with Atletico Madrid and is set to also see the same occur for the season finale.
This inability to remain fit for games has been a big detriment to the Spanish side who have relinquished their spot of second in the La Liga table to drop down to fourth.
    Ligts out for United
Man United have been dealt a huge blow in their pursuit of Matthijs de Ligt.
United have been linked with a summer move for the Juventus defender.
But the centre-back has reportedly penned a new deal with the Serie A giants until 2026, according to Diario Sport.
    Ferdinand on Steve McClaren
Steve McClaren’s management record is irrelevant to the coaching role he will take reportedly take on at Man United, according to Rio Ferdinand.
Ferdinand said on his podcast: “I don’t think that is relevant to what his role is going to be.
“He’s coming in as a coach, a shoulder to lean on, and somebody who can give advice at the right times.
“In terms of judging him from his management in previous years, I think it is probably irrelevant.
What you do get with Steve McClaren is somebody who is a football man who loves the game, who is so enthusiastic and meticulous.
“He also cares about the details, not just from a football point of view but also mentally, and he understands what it takes at Manchester United to win.”
    Man United missed Cancelo opportunity
Gary Neville has revealed he urged Man United to sign Joao Cancelo before Man City snapped him up.
Neville made the claim when speaking to Jamie Carragher on Instagram live as the pair praised the full-back.
Neville, who gave United the heads up when he was managing Cancelo at Valencia, said: “He’s unbelievable, he’s brilliant.
“I think Cancelo is a brilliant full-back. I never had any doubts when I was at Valencia for those four months that he was going to be a top player.
“I literally told United about him. I said, ‘Honestly this boy is someone special you’ve got to look at getting him.'”
    Argentine wonderkid sparks transfer war
Enzo Fernandez is set to become the subject of a three-way transfer tussle between three of European football’s elite clubs, according to reports.
The 21-year-old River Plate star is being targeted by Manchester City, Manchester United and Champions League finalists Real Madrid.
According to Clarin, the star is irreplaceable for Marcelo Gallardo’s River Plate side, but with a release clause of just £17million the situation could be taken out of their hands.
All three clubs have had success shopping in the South American markets, with Man City already securing the services of the 2021 Americas player of the year Julian Alvarez – also from River.
    Liverpool linked with Kante
Liverpool have been urged to sign Chelsea ace N’Golo Kante by Rio Ferdinand.
Ferdinand said when speaking on Liverpool’s needs: “That’s where they need a Kante.
“A fit Kante and he’s given the license to get on and jump out of a defensive block, he’s the one player who could cause them problems.”
Man United have also been linked with Kante in recent weeks.

The Scotland U17 international showed composure on the ball, as well as a calming presence in the backline.

Earlier this season, he became their youngest ever youth player when he played for the Under 23s at the age of 15.

    U17 European Championships
Jackson is preparing for Scotland’s opening game in the U17 Euros – a tough match with two-time winners Portugal.
But before he went out to join the squad in Israel, it was former midfielder Fletcher who had a word in the young lad’s ear.

“Darren Fletcher has been a big help for me. He’s a really nice guy and he makes a point of always talking to me,” he said.
“He’s always asking me if there is anything I need or any help he can give me.
“Just before I left to come out to Israel with Scotland he pulled me aside and had a quick chat and wished me all the best. He said he would be watching us.
“He had an amazing career with Manchester United and with Scotland. Any advice he can give me is a big help. He’s a man I look up to and he’s a great role model for the younger players like me.”
    Victorious night
Jackson’s confidence in the Scotland squad will be sky-high after he helped United’s U16 beat Forest in the FA Youth Cup final – with the club recording their first win in the competition since 2011.

Speaking about the occasion, the defender revealed he was blown away by the record-breaking crowd – an amazing 67,492 cheered the home team on to victory.
Jackson said: “The Youth Cup win was a magical night. It was massive for the whole of the Manchester United Academy and I can’t thank the fans enough for the support they gave us.
“It’s hard to put to words how incredible it was. For me, it was the stuff of dreams.
“To play in front of 70,000 shows just how big the Academy is at the club.”
    Impress the new boss
Now, Jackson will be hoping to impress new manager Erik ten Hag, who left Ajax’s title celebrations behind to fly Manchester and bed in to his new job.

The youngsters knows he’s at a club that is prepared to give youth a chance.
“It’s in the Manchester United DNA for kids to come through here,” he said.
“I’m a lifelong Manchester United fan. I’ve had a season ticket since I was five years old and walking out to a crowd like that was just incredible. It shows how much the Academy means to the club.
“I made my debut for the Under 23s when I was 15 last pre-season. These experiences are just so good for your career.
