However, the new United gaffer may face competition from rivals Liverpool for his star’s signature.
Chelsea, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with Antony in recent months.
Ajax defender Daley Blind admitted his side have a tough task keeping hold of their top players.
The former United man said: “I don’t think Ajax will let players go that easily. You have to have a team next year that will compete again in the Champions League and for the title.
“If the main price is paid for Sebastien Haller or Antony, then Ajax will accept it, but I don’t think Ajax wants to sell many players. I hope most of them just stay.”
