Juventus ready to swoop for Jorginho as they make Chelsea midfielder ‘Plan B’ transfer if they miss out on Locatelli

JUVENTUS have identified Chelsea star Jorginho as an alternative to main summer transfer target Manuel Locatelli, according to reports.
Sassuolo ace Locatelli poses as Juve’s top target ahead of the summer transfer window following a raft of impressive performances in Serie A this season.

According to Calciomercatio, however, the defending Italian champions are lining Jorginho up as a potential Plan B in case they fail to land their main man.
Juventus have been keeping tabs on the star midfielder since last season when former Blues boss Maurizio Sarri was in charge.
The Italy international broke onto the scene at Napoli in 2017 when Sarri was in charge and continued to shine bright at Stamford Bridge when the Italian coach took him along to west London.
Juventus have continued to track Jorginho even after Sarri was replaced by club legend Andrea Pirlo in the dugout last summer.

The 29-year-old ace’s Chelsea contract expires in 2023 and his agent has never ruled out a potential return to Italy.
The Bianconeri are likely to continue to monitor the situation but Pirlo appears to have made it clear to the club’s management that Locatelli is his top pick.
The Sassuolo ace has played a critical role in the Neroverdi’s impressive campaign that has seen them climb up to ninth place in the table.

Juventus have been short of quality players in midfield for some time and have identified the Italy international as the solution to their problems.

However, the Vecchia Signora are bracing themselves for a potential bidding war with Manchester City, who are also keeping tabs on the 23-year-old.
If City beat Juventus to Locatelli then it is highly likely that Jorginho will soon be subject to a transfer bid by the Turin-based club.

Chelsea and Man City transfer target Mohamed Ihattaren given final warning by PSV over ‘unacceptable’ attitude

CHELSEA and Manchester City transfer target Mohamed Ihattaren is on his last chance at PSV Eindhoven due to “totally unacceptable” behaviour.
Ihattaren is one of the world’s most exciting young talents following a string of impressive displays for PSV, which landed him in the Guardian’s top 60 Next Generation talents list in 2019.

But manager Roger Schmidt is not pleased with the overconfident attacking midfielder’s attitude and warned him that he will be forced to drop him unless he falls in line.
Schmidt said: “It was totally unacceptable.
“It was impossible for me to include him in the group. Today he was able to see what is needed at his position.
“If he works as hard as Mario Gotze, Ryan Thomas, Mauro Junior, Cody Gakpo or Noni Madueke, things can work out. If not, it has no chance.

“It’s not a one-way street. Of course you have to support and help someone, but from the other side something also has to come back.
“Ultimately, it is always the same in life: you cannot change people, people can only change themselves.
“We tried to change him. It’s up to him now. It is also not always easy for young players. Hype quickly develops around them.

“Everyone is looking for these types of players. Everything is still possible, but we now have to change the style of aid.”

Ihattaren earned senior call-up at PSV in 2019 and has since made a whopping 70 appearances despite his young age of 19.
But reports suggest the £20million-rated wonderkid has always been too sure of himself and that appears to have landed him on hot water.
But that hasn’t stopped Chelsea and Man City from keeping tabs on the Netherlands under-19 ace, who can operate on the right wing or as a central midfielder.
Ihattaren, who has clocked up 25 appearances across all competitions this season, is also reportedly being monitored by Inter Milan as well as PSV’s rivals Ajax.

Man City vs West Ham LIVE REACTION: Stones on target as City win 20th game in a row – latest updates

DEFENDER John Stones scored the winner as Manchester City beat West Ham 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium.
Pep Guardiola’s runaway Premier League leaders have now won 20 games on the spin.

Follow all of the latest reaction below..

    THAT’S A WRAP
Thanks for joining us this afternoon.
Don’t forget to check out our match report, courtesy of Dan King.

    BARCA IN STRATFORD
Joe Cole is dreaming about European nights at the London stadium.
He said: “I’d love to see Barcelona come here – the fans would love it”

    CHAMPIONS LEAGUE DREAM IS ALIVE
Moyes is clearly wary about delivering false promises to West Ham fans.
When pushed on whether they could hold onto their spot in fourth, he said: “If you’d said to us we would be a top four side, we may not have believed it, but we’ve competed and played well against the best team in the league at the moment.
“We’re going to keep trying and keep pushing. I don’t want to promise something I can’t deliver, but if we play like we did today we’ll be nearer the top than the bottom.”

    MOYES SPEAKS
Speaking on BT Sport, David Moyes says: ” I thought we did a good job against a good side.
“I’m just disappointed that we get a last chance in the last kick of the game and we can’t finish it.
“We put on a good show and worked hard, we’re a bit unfortunate to go away with nothing.
“Today’s performance is on the back of a good run of games, so this backs up the level of performance we put up recently.”
Having worked with John Stones earlier in his career, Moyes was asked about his performance today, he added: “I’m pleased to see him doing so well and back in form, but I just wish he hadn’t scored today!”

    STATS ALL FOLKS
How the teams compared after City victorious again at the Etihad.

    DYNAMIC DEFENSIVE DUO
Stones was asked about defenders chipping in to the goal tally when forwards couldn’t, he said: “We all try and chip in.
“Everyone is out there working hard, some days it doesn’t come off for the forwards, so Ruben and I chipped in.
“I think that’s why we’re such a collective in important moments.
“We’re just glad to get three points and just keeping this run going.
“I’ve said it numerous times before, but you can only give credit to Ruben [Dias] for moving countries and clubs and the way he’s played straight away, with whoever’s playing.
“He’s outstanding and that’s all down to him- massive credit to him.”

    MAN OF THE MATCH
Speaking on BT Sport, today’s man-of-the-match John Stones says: “A lot of credit to West Ham
“We knew what they’d do, their position in the table speaks for itself- a lot of credit to them, they gave us a great game.
“We had to focus until the last minute.
“We weren’t at our free-flowing football best, like we have been in recent weeks, but that’s because of the way they set up against us.
“We showed real character in the second half.”

    HEAD OF A CHANCE
Diop’s effort looked a dead-cert for West Ham to salvage a point.
But he planted his header wide of the post, with a virtually empty goal in front of him.

    TABLE TOPPERS
Manchester City win their 20th in a row without being at their vintage best.
They have such quality and depth in their squad that an early kick-off on a Saturday after a mid-week European fixture doesn’t phase them.
City have extended the league at the top of the table and are pulling away from their neighbours.

FT: MANCHESTER CITY 2-1 WEST HAM

    MANCHESTER CITY 2-1 WEST HAM
    93. CHANCE!
The ball is lifted in well to Diop who’s head and shoulders above everyone in the box and only needs to nod the ball down into goal.
But he heads it wide of the post! Cue West Ham players with their head in their hands.
They were so close to equalising there!

    MANCHESTER CITY 2-1 WEST HAM
    92. Fernandinho sees yellow for shoulder barging Bowen off the ball.
Can West Ham do anything with this?

    MANCHESTER CITY 2-1 WEST HAM
    90. Four additional minutes at the Etihad.

    MANCHESTER CITY 2-1 WEST HAM
    89. Decent challenge by Zinchenko stops Coufal from having a shot from the right of the box.
Corner to West Ham, but it doesn’t clear the first man.

    MANCHESTER CITY 2-1 WEST HAM
    89. Not bad for Stones, not bad at all.

    MANCHESTER CITY 2-1 WEST HAM
    88. Gundogan is replaced by Rodri.
He’s leaving the pitch very slowly, casting an eye at the clock.

    MANCHESTER CITY 2-1 WEST HAM
    87. Pep’s very animated on the touchline, clearly not content with a one goal lead.
He’s currently delivering a pep talk, gesticulating wildly, to Rodri.

    MANCHESTER CITY 2-1 WEST HAM
    86. Cresswell delivers it into the six-yard box before Dias heads it clear.
City try and counter quickly but Benrahma takes out Foden.

    MANCHESTER CITY 2-1 WEST HAM
    85. Fernandinho takes out Lingard with a late sliding tackle giving away a freekick in dangerous territory.
It’s about 30 yards out and City are defending with a very high line.

    MANCHESTER CITY 2-1 WEST HAM
    84. It really has been an astonishing turnaround for City.
They had the worst start to the season under Guardiola’s reign and are now edging in on their 20th consecutive victory.

    MANCHESTER CITY 2-1 WEST HAM
    83. Decent defending by Dawson who blocks a Gundogan shot from the edge of the area.
Moyes uses the break to make a double change.
Antonio is replaced by Bowen, he looks absolutely exhausted.
    Johnson makes way for Benrahma.

    MANCHESTER CITY 2-1 WEST HAM
    81. Foden swings the ball in well from the corner flag before Randolph makes contact with an awkward punch.
The clearance falls to Mahrez who is unmarked.

    MANCHESTER CITY 2-1 WEST HAM
    80. The second goal have shifted the power, giving City a feeling of control.
A change is imminent for the Hammers.

    MANCHESTER CITY 2-1 WEST HAM
    78. City enjoy a spell of possession in and around West Ham’s box before Mahrez pulls the trigger.
Soucek gets his foot across to block the shot. Corner to City.

    MANCHESTER CITY 2-1 WEST HAM
    76. Antonio must be exhausted!
He’s chased every single ball in City’s half.

The SVJ supercar — which can do 0-60mph in under three seconds — was later impounded.
Mendy was stopped at 5am on November 15 in Prestbury, Cheshire.
Cheshire Police said: “A 26-year-old man from Prestbury submitted a guilty plea online to driving without insurance and driving without a licence.
“The man was subsequently fined £880, ordered to pay £88 victims surcharge, £90 costs, and endorsed with six penalty points on his licence.”

Barcelona target Sergio Aguero casts doubt over Man City future and admits ‘I’ve no idea where I’ll be at end of season’

SERGIO Aguero has admitted his footballing future remains a mystery.
The striker’s iconic spell with Manchester City is expected to come to an end when his contract runs out in June, with Tottenham star Harry Kane being talked about as a replacement.

Aguero could be on his way out of City if he doesn’t agree to cut his £260k-a-week wagesCredit: PA:Press Association

Aguero, who also turns 33 in June, sidestepped questions about where he would like to retire during an interview with Spanish YouTuber Ibai Llanos.
The Argentine insisted: “I don’t know where I’m going to go at the end of the season, I haven’t got any idea. I’ll have to see what I do.”
Aguero becomes a free agent on June 30. Pep Guardiola and City’s owners are thought to want to keep the club’s all-time leading scorer, who has 256 goals, but only if they can get him to agree to a hefty pay cut.
The forward, whose season has been disrupted by injury and coronavirus, earns about £260,000 a week at the Etihad.

Barcelona are said to be keeping their eye on the situation amid reports they are keen to bring the ex-Atletico Madrid striker back to Spain.
The dad-of-one, whose son with Diego Maradona’s daughter Giannina is 12 today, has won four Premier League titles, five EFL Cups and one FA Cup during a trophy-filled spell at the Etihad.
Guardiola said last month when Aguero was still self-isolating after being diagnosed with coronavirus that he was optimistic the striker would give his club ‘some good, good months’ until the end of the season.
Inter Milan’s Romelu Lukaku and Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland have also been touted as possible replacements for the frontman if he does go.

Man City signing Kwadwo Baah is Rochdale starlet who was Crystal Palace cult hero ball boy after Adrian antics

MANCHESTER CITY starlet Kwadwo Baah is hungry like the Wilf as he looks to tear apart Premier League defences.
The 18-year-old forward, also courted by Bayern Munich, signed from Rochdale after a stellar start to life in League One.

The 18-year-old will look to turn on the style at the Etihad

He will join and summer and he will be doing somersaults over his move to the Etihad.
Baah struck his first goal for Dale against Wigan last year and celebrated acrobatically. He followed it up with two against Charlton last month.
He will spend the rest of the season on loan at Rochdale and join City in the summer.
Baah has taken the Wright path to the Premier League after early career heartache.

His most notable contribution at Crystal Palace came off the pitch.
Baah caused controversy in 2016 as an Eagles ball-boy, when he tried to stop West Ham keeper Adrian time-wasting by placing the ball in the six-yard box for him so he could take a goal kick.
Having been released by Palace at 14, Londoner Baah dropped into non league before joining Dale as a scholar last September, making his debut a month later at 16.
Excited about his potential, boss Brian Barry-Murphy sees shades of Ian Wright, Wilfried Zaha and Victor Moses in the German-born starlet, whose parents are Ghanaian.

“Kwadwo’s got everything,” said Barry-Murphy, whose club have seen players such as defender Craig Dawson, striker Scott Hogan and Luke Matheson move on to bigger clubs.
CASINO DEALS: BEST SIGN UP OFFERS TO CLAIM OVER £700

“If you speak about his ceiling or potential there is none. It’s purely about where he can take it.
“There’s a lot of comparisons. If you see a lot of the wide players Crystal Palace have produced, they end up being like this – Ian Wright, Wilfried Zaha, Victor Moses.
“Of course I’m not saying he’s of that level yet and there’s still a lot of hard work to do. But he’s a very exciting talent.

“He’s a tough resilient lad, comes from an amazing family and, similar to our team, he’s overcome a lot of adversity.
“He was at Crystal Palace at a very young age, went out of the game and worked hard to come back. That’s what he’s got to keep doing, keep working hard. But he’s found a real home here.
“The beauty of our club is he’s amongst really good guys, really demanding guys who know when to ask more from him and really encouraging guys who let him be himself, be expressive and be that creative force that you saw against Wigan.”

Diego Costa ‘would win Man City the Premier League’, claims Micah Richards as he urges Guardiola to make free transfer

MICAH RICHARDS claims Diego Costa would help Manchester City win the league.
The pundit has urged Pep Guardiola to bring in the striker on a free transfer.

Diego Costa is available after leaving Atletico MadridCredit: Rex Features

Costa is looking for a new club after having his contract terminated six months early by Atletico Madrid.
And Richards thinks the former Chelsea striker is the ideal signing to fire City to the title.
Richards told the BBC: “Why not get him in until the end of the season? He would do more than just ruffle a few feathers and be a pain in the backside for opposition defences – he is a proven finisher who would offer Pep Guardiola’s side a proper plan B.
“Yes, you would have to cover Costa’s wages, but the massive difference he could make to City’s season would make that worthwhile.

“City are already on a ridiculously good run of form but if they signed Costa now, he would win them the Premier League – I am sure of it.”
Richards highlights the prolonged injuries and Covid-19 problems which have sidelined Sergio Aguero this season.
The former City defender also thinks striker Gabriel Jesus is not the right focal point in attack.

Richards said: “I like Jesus a lot, and he is far more than just a grafter, but when I watch him he is not always looking to get on the end of balls into the box like he did against Cheltenham in the FA Cup on Saturday – he is often lurking deeper or on the left, linking play.”
One stumbling block could be Costa’s extortionate wage demands which may put the Premier League title contenders off.
Marseille boss Andre Villas-Boas recently ruled out signing Costa because his £14million a year salary demands were too much.
