Harry Kane’s first season at Bayern Munich goes from bad to worse as German giants capitulate AGAIN

DESPITE his best efforts, Harry Kane’s debut season in Germany is not going to plan.

Bayern Munich are now a whopping 16 POINTS behind league leaders Bayer Leverkusen after a second half capitulation against mid-table outfit FC Heidenheim.

The Bavarians were leading 2-0 at half time thanks to goals from Kane himself and Serge Gnabry, but ultimately lost the match 3-2.

A second half brace from Tim Kleindienst and a goal from Kevin Sessa meant Heidenheim pulled off a miraculous comeback.

It’s now two losses on the bounce for Bayern after they fell to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of rivals Borussia Dortmund in Der Klassiker last weekend.

That means that a domestic trophy for Kane is virtually impossible with Bayer Leverkusen all but over the finish line as Bundesliga champions.

Bayern Munich already lost the season opening Supercup 3-0 to RB Leipzig while they were shocked in the second round of the DFB Pokal – the German equivalent of the FA Cup – to THIRD TIER side Saarbrucken.

All of Bayern’s, and subsequently Kane’s, eggs are now in one basket – the Champions League.

The German giants face Arsenal in their quarter-final clash with a trip to the Emirates up first on Tuesday.

It’ll be familiar surroundings for Kane who during his Tottenham days scored an astounding 14 goals against the Gunners.

Heartbroken Kane’s hopes of winning Bundesliga all but over as he misses sitters

The England captain has had an astonishing individual season scoring a jaw-dropping 37 goals and registering 12 assists in 36 appearances since joining Bayern Munich.

Should the Champions League slip out of his grip against a familiar foe then Kane will have to look ahead to the summer where he will hope to break his trophy duck with England.

The Three Lions are amongst the favourites win the Euros this summer and Kane may feel more at home than most with the tournament being held in Germany.
