A DIE-HARD England fan cut “It’s Coming Home” into the grass of his village cricket club – then realised it’s visible from space.

The man behind the masterpiece, Michael Reynoldson, spotted his fantastic work in a satellite image on Google Earth.

Reynoldson, who plays at Burnhope Cricket Club in County Durham, cuts the pitch from time to time.

But in 2021 he carved out the line “It’s Coming Home” from the hit song “Three Lions'” by David Baddiel, Frank Skinner and The Lightning Seeds.

It was for the Euro 2020 campaign that was postponed due to the Covid pandemic.

But Reynoldson got a pleasant surprise when he spotted his artwork on Google Earth on Monday.

Reynoldson explained: “One of my dull interests is cutting the grass at my local cricket club.

“When the last Euro competition was on, I was so sure we were going to eventually win something I decided to cut ‘It’s coming home’ into the grass.

“Whilst looking on Google Earth I found that the plane had captured this image.

“I’m also on the field taking part in another dull interest of mine.”

As anticipation mounts for the Euros in Germany this summer, England supporters are optimistic that Reynoldson words will come true.

But local Richie Crowley said: “Still not home, must’ve got lost.”

Harry Maguire calls for Southgate to stay on as England boss after Euros… but Man Utd ace may be better off if he GOES

Marc Whitehouse added: “Maybe add ‘not’ next to ‘it’s’ during this year’s mowing.”

Chris Geal said: “False advertisement. Pretty sure it didn’t come home.”

Alistair Pinches said: “Could always cut the word ‘Never’ in between.”

England were denied European glory that year after losing the final to Italy 3-2 on penalties.

And after their 1-0 defeat to Brazil on Saturday fans will be praying that this summer will be the one when football is “coming home”.
