David Beckham lands special edition FIFA 21 cover as Man Utd legend is added into game as a FUT Icon


DAVID BECKHAM will feature on a special edition FIFA 21 cover with the Manchester United legend is also added as an Ultimate Team icon.

The Inter Miami CF co-owner has reached a huge ambassadorial agreement with the popular game and will be integrated into parts of it this year.

Beckham announced he is an Ultimate Team icon on this year’s FIFA gameCredit: EA Sports / FIFA 21

This includes appearing as an Ultimate Team icon from December and as a VOLTA Groundbreaker starting December 15.

The cover shows the 45-year-old titled face staring into the distance, with his bearded face and tattooed neck on full display.

Beckham posted a Instagram image of the front and explained his excitement of his new position.

He said: “I’m so proud to be returning to EA SPORTS with my FIFA 21 Beckham Edition cover.

“…Excited to be back on the pitch as an icon with some of my old teammates!”

Inter Miami became a playable team when the game was released in October.

As well as using their actual players, FIFA players can also use Beckham on the pitch to help them score.

Footy fans took to social media to reveal their delight at getting Beckham, who retired in 2013, back in the game and on the front cover.

One wrote: “IT’S OFFICIAL!! DAVID BECKHAM ON FIFA 21!!”

Another said: “David Beckham is literally my favourite footballer of all time, if he comes out on FIFA 21, I have 0 interest in anyone else until I get all 3 versions of his card.”

FIFA 21 came out in early October and has been met with generally favourable reviews.
