      Arsenal ‘complete £3m transfer’ for teen striker Marquinhos as club form ‘spectacular relationship’ with Sao Paulo

      BRAZILIAN teenage star Marquinhos has become Arsenal’s first signing of the summer.The Gunners have secured a deal in the region of £3million for the Brazilian who has broken through at Sao Paulo, according to reports.

      The striker, who has represented his country at Under-17 level, had a release clause of around £42.5 million and was attracting interest from numerous Premier League clubs.
      However, Arsenal have only paid the £3m fee as a token gesture to the Brazilian club, in an attempt to maintain the “spectacular relationship” between the two clubs.
      The Gunners could announce the signing on June 10, when the summer transfer window opens.
      The deal comes as a result of technical director Edu Gaspar’s connection with Sao Paulo, which is the reason the forward didn’t leave the club on a free transfer.

      According to HITC, Edu offered a nominal fee for the 19-year-old in order to maintain the solid relationship between the clubs.
      Speaking to Gazeta Esportiva, Sao Paulo director Carlos Belmonte commented on the strong bond between the clubs.

      Watch Everton keeper Jordan Pickford’s ‘save of the season’ to deny Chelsea leaving fans stunned

      JORDAN Pickford made two stunning saves in a matter of minutes to deny Chelsea and boost Everton’s survival chances.A shot from Mason Mount just inside the area managed to squirm beyond Pickford’s reach but hit the post before cannoning off of the other post.

      The resulting loose ball fell to Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta.
      However, the England No 1 sprung across his goal line and managed to prevent the ball from going in the net with a sensational reflex save going against his own momentum.
      Despite the ball finally going out of play, Pickford’s work was not done.
      A corner found its way to a Chelsea head and the flick on went straight into the path of the onrushing Antonio Rudiger at the far post.

      It would mean there would be three races in the US after Austin and Miami, which makes its debut this year.
      F1’s American owners, Liberty Media, have been trying to crack their home market since buying the sport for £6billion in 2017.
      The recent success of the Netflix Drive to Survive fly-on-the-wall TV documentary, coupled with Lewis Hamilton’s duel with Max Verstappen for the title, saw the US GP in Austin become at 400,000 sell out.
      The debut race in Miami this May is also a sell-out as the popularity of F1 continues to soar in the States.
      It is the first time there is a real sense that the US market is warming to the series after a number of failed attempts in the past.
      F1 did host two races previously in Las Vegas in 1981 and 1982 at Caesars Palace but after disappointing crowds, F1 didn’t return.
