Harry Maguire yelled ‘f*** the police, I do not give a s**t!’ before pushing cop, says arresting officer

HARRY Maguire yelled “f**k the police, I don’t give a s**t” before shoving a cop in the Mykonos brawl, an officer claims.
Explosive new allegations have been made against the Man Utd captain, 27, after he was last week convicted of a string of offences in a Greek court.

Police statements have been released claiming Harry Maguire swore at them and attacked them
The arresting officer on the night the fight in Mykonos erupted claims Maguire launched into a foul-mouthed rant at cops as they tried to detain him.
A statement, printed in Greek media, alleges Maguire told cops: “F**k you all, f**k off, f**k the Greek police, f**k policeman, f**k Greece, f**k the Greek civilisation, I don’t give a s**t”.
The England ace is then said to have pushed officers along with brother Joe and friend Chris Sharman, who were found guilty alongside Maguire.
The statement adds: “[Maguire] attacked the sergeant…he pushed him away and kicked him in the right leg causing swelling of his left and right tibia.

Maguire last week broke his silence

He spoke of sister Daisy being targeted
“The third defendant [Joe] also attacked the above police officer hitting him in the face with his fists causing him to gently swelling of the upper right lip.”
After they were taken to a police station, the officer claims the violence continued and Maguire “pushed hard and threw the sergeant to the ground”.
The second attack left the cop with “abrasions on his right forearm, sciatica and right back pain”, the statement says.
Once inside, Maguire is then said to have told police he could give them “as much money as they want” because “I am the captain of Manchester United”.

Maguire was found guilty of repeated bodily harm, attempted bribery, violence against public employees and insulting behaviour.
But he denied throwing any punches and rubbished claims he tried to bribe the police with his lawyers lodging an appeal against his convictions.
The move nullifies the initial verdict and means there will be a retrial in a more senior court.
Emotional Maguire spoke out about the Mykonos horror on Thursday – claiming he was “scared for his life”.
Breaking his silence, a defiant Harry told the BBC: “I did nothing wrong.”
Maguire said plain clothes cops whacked him repeatedly and taunted him “your career is over, no more football, you won’t play again”.
“I thought we were getting kidnapped.
“We got down on our knees, we put our hands in the air, they just started hitting us.
“And at this point I thought there is no chance these are police or I don’t know who they are so I tried to run away, I was in that much of a panic, fear, scared for my life. All the way through it.”

Maguire enjoying himself during his holiday in Greece
But the minibus driver claimed in his statement the officers revealed they were police and showed identification to the group.
He also said Maguire and his pals were aware they were being taken by him to a police station.
The driver added: “Two of my clients, upon hearing this, started running on an adjacent road and some police officers chased them to catch them, but without success.
“The police returned to the courtyard and a few minutes later my two fugitive clients continued to remain on the public road outside the police station shouting something at the police.”
Maguire claims two men approached his little sister Daisy, 20, in a bar – an event which pals have claimed sparked the fracas.
Voice breaking with emotion, he said: “My fiancee Fern saw her eyes going to the back of her head, she was fainting, going in and out of consciousness.”
Maguire said he was trying to take her to hospital when he was arrested – and said he will not apologise for his actions.
“I don’t feel like I owe an apology to anybody. An apology is something when you’ve done something wrong,” he said.
Pals had claimed Maguire and his group — arrested last weekend — were given a “welcome” by up to eight men armed with batons when they arrived at a police station in Mykonos.

Authorities refused to allow medical evidence gathered by his legal team which detailed bruising he sustained.
Phone footage which showed Maguire’s pals confronting two Albanians who allegedly tried to inject his sister Daisy, 20, with a drug was also not allowed to be submitted.
Maguire is the most expensive defender in the football history having transferred from Leicester City to Man United for around £85million last season.

Maguire said his “conscience is so clear” and yesterday his lawyers lodged an appeal against his convictions.
The move nullifies the initial verdict and means there will be a retrial in a more senior court.
The former Sheffield United, Hull and Leicester player Maguire is not certain he will remain United captain but is positive “the truth will be told” in the retrial.
He said: “It’s a massive privilege to play for the club, never mind to be captain. It’s not my decision to make.”

I have great faith in the Greek law, the retrial will give us more time to prepare, gather the evidence, allow witnesses into the court.

The move nullifies the initial verdict and means there will be a retrial in a more senior court.
But the England star, expected to keep the Man Utd captaincy, may wait three years for it to be heard.

Maguire posted this after he was found guilty
Maguire claimed HE was the victim after the conviction and he has since been pulled from the England squad for the matches against Iceland and Denmark, manager Gareth Southgate announced last night.
And in the early hours of this morning, the star posted on Instagram: “Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth – Buddha.”
His sister Daisy uploaded the same message just hours after the verdict.

Maguire yesterday confirmed he would be appealing his conviction in a fiery statement branding himself and his family “the victims”.
He commented: “Following the hearing, I have instructed my legal team with immediate effect to inform the courts we will be appealing.
“I remain strong + confident regarding our innocence in this matter – if anything myself, family + friends are the victims.” #MUFC”.
    What we know so far:

Maguire’s protestations were completely dismissed by a lawyer for two of the six policemen involved in the case who called the defender a “disgrace” and accused him of “inventing a pack of lies”.
Ioannis Paradissis told MailOnline: “Maguire and his friends then invented a story about Albanians attacking his sister.
“I’ve never heard such rubbish. This was a shameful attempt to cover up their disgusting behaviour and an insult to Albanians and the Greek police.
“He should hang his head in shame and return to Greece to apologise.”
The verdict will no doubt plunge Maguire’s club career into chaos and could see him stripped of his captaincy at Man Utd.
It could have massively harmed his England career as Gareth Southgate dropped him from the international squad for the upcoming Nations League games just hours after initially naming him in it.
The strict gaffer had warned centre-back Maguire’s place could be dropped “if facts or information changes”.

    Man Utd statement in full

Manchester United notes the verdict of the Greek court.

Harry Maguire pleaded not guilty to all of the misdemeanour charges made against him and he continues to strongly assert his innocence.
It should be noted that the prosecution confirmed the charges and provided their evidence late on the day before the trial, giving the defence team minimal time to digest them and prepare. A request for the case to be adjourned was subsequently denied.
On this basis, along with the substantial body of evidence refuting the charges, Harry Maguire’s legal team will now appeal the verdict, to allow a full and fair hearing at a later date.

The trial went ahead in the absence of all three defendants yesterday despite repeated pleas to postpone it.
Maguire was handed a 21-month and ten-day suspended sentence for three years as it was his first offence.
His brother Joe and pal Chris Sharman, who stood trial alongside him, were given suspended sentences of 13 months after also being found guilty.

The verdicts come after a bombshell one-day trial heard how the brawl between cops and the trio erupted when Maguire’s sister Daisy was “injected with a rape drug”.
One cop required first aid when handcuffed Maguire attempted to break free – as another pal yelled “f**k, f**k the police”.
After they were taken inside a police station, £190,000-a-week Maguire boasted about how “rich” he was as he tried to pay police off, it was said.
He bragged: “Do you know who I am? I am the captain of Manchester United, I am very rich, I can give you money, I can pay you, please let us go”.
Maguire is then said to have continued boasting about how “very rich” he is, adding: “I am the captain of Manchester United”.

The court was also told how Daisy was approached by two mysterious Albanians in Mykonos as her brother and a group of pals went to get burgers after a night out boozing.
But Maguire’s fiancee Fern Hawkins soon realised her eyes were “rolling into the back of her head” – with the Albanians then fleeing, it was claimed.
Giving evidence at the Utd captain’s trial in Syros, friend Ashden Morley said: “We held Daisy. Daisy began to start fitting. All the girls were screaming.
“People were coming down asking what happened, there was a large commotion.”
At this point, a minibus Maguire had booked showed up so the panicked group piled on and told the driver they wanted to go to a hospital, it was said.

But Mr Morley said they realised two cars were behind them “following our every movement” before the vehicle pulled up in a courtyard.
He added: “Our bus door opened and five or six males tried to force us off the bus by physically pulling us.”
The quantity surveyor, 28, told the court how they all feared they would be kidnapped and “held at ransom” as they were beaten with batons and kicked and stamped on by undercover cops.
One officer then allegedly kicked Maguire on the leg and told him: “Your career is over”.
As the girls were “in hysterics crying their eyes out”, the England star, 27, was arrested along with brother Joe and pal Chris Sharman.
The claims were made yesterday as the trial kicked off in explosive fashion.

Maguire’s top human rights lawyer Alexis Anagnostakis earlier tried three times to postpone the case but the judge dismissed his protests.
Once it finally got underway, he told the trial how the defender was “attacked by an Albanian group”.
He also denied the group would say “f**k Greece” – claiming “they love the country and are keen on the ancient Greek culture”.
It was then claimed there is video shot from outside Mykonos police station showing how the police “mistreated” them.
The footage also shows them in a state of “extreme agony”, Mr Anagnostakis said.
The lawyer added: “My clients did not beat anyone, accost anyone, or injure anyone.”
Dad Alan travelled to the court on the Greek island of Syros to support his sons.
But none of the defendants – including Maguire – were in court when the verdict was given.

They had been partying in a swanky nightclub in Mykonos when sister Daisy was approached by a group of Albanian men.
It was previously alleged she was stabbed in the arm with a metal straw when she spurned the advances of the “gangster types”.
The jab drew blood – with big brother Harry stepping in to defend her when a fight broke out.
A source said: “Harry saw what was happening and remonstrated with them and things got heated.

“He decided to try to get out of there and wanted to hail a taxi. But he ended up arguing with some undercover police officers and ended up at the local police station.”
The brawl came after a marathon drinking session costing £63,000 over three days.
Exclusive video obtained by The Sun earlier showed him partying with team-mates Lingard, 27, and Brandon Williams, 19.
Others there included Love Island star Chris Hughes, 27, snooker ace Judd Trump, 31, and Lottie Moss, 22, the sister of supermodel Kate.

Sheffield-born Maguire became the world’s most expensive defender when he signed for Utd from Leicester City for £85million in August last year.
He was named captain in January this year following Ashley Young’s departure to Inter Milan.
He is next due to play at Old Trafford for their first game of the season on September 19 against Crystal Palace.

Brother Joe Maguire – pictured centre with Harry, right, and brother Laurence left – has also been charged
But Maguire’s fiancée, Fern Hawkins, soon realised Daisy’s eyes were “rolling into the back of her head” – so the Man Utd captain and a group of male friends rushed over to help.
Maguire was this afternoon found guilty of assault, resisting arrest and bribery alongside brother Joe and pal Chris Sharman.
But he was spared a prison sentence, and was instead handed a sentence of 21 months and 10 days in prison, suspended for three years.

The two others involved in the brawl were sentenced to 13 months in prison suspended.
The football star will appeal his conviction, he has confirmed.
In a statement, he said: “Following the hearing, I have instructed my legal team with immediate effect to inform the courts we will be appealing.
“I remain strong and confident regarding our innocence in this matter – if anything myself, family and friends are the victims.”

Before the Greek judge’s verdict, a trial was held on the neighbouring island of Syros today.
In evidence, friend Ashden Morley said: “We held Daisy. Daisy began to start fitting. All the girls were screaming.
“People were coming down asking what happened, there was a large commotion.”
