Unite and Chelsea ‘interested’ in £57m David
Chelsea are reportedly interested in a £57million transfer for Jonathan David, along with Man Utd and Spurs.
French outlet L’Equipe have claimed the trio are candidates to sign the Lille forward this summer.
Only Kylian Mbappe has outscored the Canadian in Ligue 1 this season, with David netting 21 goals and adding four assists in 31 games.
There is a growing expectation he will take the next step this summer.
Chelsea have suffered greatly without a clinical scorer this season.
Latest – Sheihk Jassim eyeing Neymar
Sheikh Jassim’s entourage is already sounding out their fellow Qatari owners of PSG in a bid to land Neymar as the new face of United, writes MARTIN LIPTON.
Neymar, who moved to Ligue 1 in a £198m deal from Barcelona in 2017, has two years left on his current PSG contract.
His relationship with Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe has been problematic at times and it is believed the South American, on a staggering £490,000 per WEEK, would be keen on a move to the Prem.
Landing Neymar would be a huge coup for Sheikh Jassim, who feels his bid, which would leave United debt-free for the first time in two decades, represents the best option for the club and fans.

Breaking – Man Utd takeover bids submitted
Qatari Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani wants Brazilian superstar Neymar to spearhead his Manchester United revolution IF he wins the battle to control Old Trafford.
Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s Ineos group both put in their THIRD bids for the club just before tonight’s 10pm deadline.
The Qatari banker’s revised proposal is understood to be worth up to £5.5bn for full ownership of the club PLUS a huge extra sum for rebuilding Old Trafford and the Carrington training ground.
Kane ‘open to running down contract’
Harry Kane is open to running down his Tottenham contract, reports tonight suggest.
SunSport revealed last month that Manchester United are confident they can sign the Spurs striker, should the North Londoners miss out on a Champions League spot.
Kane, 29, has 14 months remaining on his Tottenham deal, and figures within the club are growing doubtful over whether he will pen a new one.
According to the Telegraph, the England skipper would consider seeing out his deal at Tottenham before leaving on a free transfer.
Man United would be willing to offer him a £100,000 boost on his current £200k-a-week Spurs deal.
While players leaving on free transfers can often command huge signing-on-fees.
    Ex-United star follows Dad’s footsteps
Former Man United star Nani has seen his son follow in his footsteps after signing for his former club.
Son, Lucas, has signed a contract with Sporting Lisbon, where Nani played during his youth career.
Nani joined the Sporting CP youth team back in 2003, winning the National Junior Championship in 2004-05, before making his first-team debut early in the 2005-06 season.
He signed for Manchester United in 2007, who paid about £22million for the young winger.
The current Melbourne Victory player posted a picture on Twitter of Lucas signing a contract with Sporting.
He captioned it with an emoji of a pen, a green heart and a lion.
Red Devils to face Gunners in summer friendly
The Red Devils confirmed this afternoon that they will take on Arsenal in New York this summer in a pre-season friendly.
It is the third game of pre-season to be announced by the club.
The game will take place on July 22 at MetLife Stadium, and is the first fixture on the tour of the USA.
Erik ten Hag and Co will then take on Wrexham in San Diego on July 25, and Borussia Dortmund in Las Vegas on July 30.
There is still one more tour fixture to be announced.
Maguire blow as Ten Hag calls Bruno captain
Erik ten Hag cast more doubt over Harry Maguire’s future by labelling Bruno Fernandes as Manchester United captain.
The Old Trafford boss directed the subtle blow to official skipper Maguire before Thursday’s 2-2 draw at Tottenham.
The England centre-back missed that Premier League match with what Ten Hag called a “training injury”.
But over the previous three weeks Maguire had reignited hopes of staying beyond the summer.

His generally strong form standing in for crocked regulars Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez has helped the Red Devils reach the FA Cup final and move six points clear of fifth-placed Spurs.
In Maguire’s absence, Luke Shaw once more switched inside from left-back to partner Victor Lindelof at Tottenham.
But having swaggered to a 2-0 lead through Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford, United were pegged back by Spurs’ second-half transformation.
Pedro Porro and Son Heung-min earned a draw that meant the Red Devils fell two points behind Newcastle in third spot.
And ahead of that clash Ten hag revealed his delight at Fernandes shaking off an injury suffered in last Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final success over Brighton.
The Dutchman said: “He’s tough, he takes responsibility, he wants to play and, of course, we’re happy he’s there because he’s a big players for us and he makes a big impact in every game.
“He’s our captain, so we’re really happy.”
Harry ‘just focussed on this season’
Harry Kane says he heard Manchester United supporters’ chants regarding a potential transfer move as he opened up on Daniel Levy’s meeting with the Tottenham squad.
The England captain played a key role in helping Tottenham come from behind to earn a 2-2 draw with United on Thursday.
And at half time of the game, when the Old Trafford club were leading by two, the visiting supporters were heard chanting: “Harry Kane, we’ll see you in June.”
When asked about the songs from the away end last night, the star said: “I heard what they were saying but I’m just focussed on this team and trying to finish strongly.”

    Garnacho seals new deal
United starlet Alejandro Garnacho has penned a new five-year contract with the Red Devils.
And eagle-eyed fans have spotted a similarity with Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Old Trafford faithful haven’t seen Garnacho in action for a while, with the 18-year-old having been out with an ankle injury since early March.

It hasn’t been a case of out of sight, out of mind, however, with fans thrilled to have him signed up for the long term.
As Garnacho – who has five goals and six assists from his 32 games this season – beamed for pictures upon agreeing his new deal, United supporters noticed his pearly whites, likening them to Ronaldo’s.
One wrote: “Garnacho got the Ronny teeth transformation… we’re loading.”
And a second observed: “Ronaldo had bad teeth. He fixed them. Garnacho had bad teeth. He fixed them. 👀😂”
United could go for Neymar AND Kane
United might launch a sensational summer double bid for Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar and Tottenham striker Harry Kane.
SunSport understand United could pull off a double megadeal if Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al Thani takes over the club from the Glazers.

Sheikh Jassim is eyeing a marquee signing to show his intention of restoring the Red Devils at the top of the Premier League as well as Europe.
And the Qatari billionaire is planning to start with Neymar, who could be on his way out of PSG due to a raft of injuries, his mammoth salary and club’s decision to change direction.
A move for the Brazil international does not necessarily rule out a bid for long-time target Kane.
The England captain is still thought to be at the top of United’s transfer list this summer.

Red Devils, Chelsea and Spurs in for Jonathan
Manchester United have been joined by Chelsea and Tottenham in the pursuit of Jonathan David, according to reports.
French outlet L’Equipe have claimed the trio are candidates to sign the Lille forward for just over £57million.
Only Kylian Mbappe has outscored the Canadian in Ligue 1 this season, with David netting 21 goals and adding four assists in 31 games.
United are desperate to stock up on striker options this summer, with David representing an intriguing alternative to the likes of Victor Osimhen and Harry Kane, who likely cost north of £100m.
And there is a growing expectation he will take the next step this summer.
Man Utd announce third pre-season friendly
The Red Devils confirmed this afternoon that they will take on Arsenal in New York this summer in a pre-season friendly.
It is the third game of pre-season to be announced by the club.
The game will take place on July 22 at MetLife Stadium, and is the first fixture on the tour of the USA.

There is still one more tour fixture to be announced.
    Breaking: Garnacho signs new deal
Alejandro Garnacho has signed a new five-year deal at Man Utd.
A club statement confirming the news said: “Manchester United is pleased to announce that Alejandro Garnacho has signed a new contract that will extend his stay at the club until 30 June 2028.
“The Academy graduate has already made 31 appearances for the senior team, at the age of 18.”
Garnacho himself added: “When I joined this incredible club, I dreamt of achieving my debut, playing at Old Trafford, scoring my first goal and winning trophies with this badge on my chest.
“I feel very proud and emotional to have experienced these moments already, together with my family who have supported me every step of the way.”
    Ex-United star follows Dad’s footsteps
Former Man United star Nani has seen his son follow in his footsteps after signing for his former club.
Son, Lucas, has signed a contract with Sporting Lisbon, where Nani played during his youth career.

    The lowdown on Neymar
The Brazilian attacker is considered one of the biggest talents in the world.
He is also his nation’s joint top goalscorer ever, matching Pele’s 77 goals.
And he would be a marquee signing for the club to signal the new owners’ intentions moving forward.
He has scored 18 times in 29 games this season, but he has been hampered by ankle injuries.
And his inconsistent availability and reportedly mammoth £616k-per-week contract have led to rumours that PSG would be willing to part ways with him.
Neymar is still the most expensive player in world football following his £198million transfer from Barcelona to the Ligue 1 giants.
His contract at the Parc des Princes is set to run until 2025, although he has the option to extend it to 2027.
    More on Neymar
Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al Thani, the ambitious billionaire bidder from the Middle East, is eyeing the Brazilian as a marquee signing this summer.
It comes with the Glazers, the current club owners, currently seeking further investment in the club with a third round of bidding today.
Some suiters such as Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe are targeting a full buyout of the Americans – however, neither party are yet to match the Glazers’ £6billion price tag.
Should Sheikh Jassim be able to complete a takeover of the club SunSport understands that one of his first actions will be to make an incredible move to sign Neymar.
EXCLUSIVE: Qatar owners to move for Neymar
Manchester United will make a stunning transfer move to sign Neymar if the Qatari bid to buy the club is successful.

    David attracts interest

French outlet L’Equipe have claimed the trio are candidates to sign the Lille forward for just over £57million.
Only Kylian Mbappe has outscored the Canadian in Ligue 1 this season, with David netting 21 goals and adding four assists in 31 games.

    Man Utd Mount blow
Manchester United have suffered a blow in their pursuit of Mason Mount after reports revealed Arsenal have held “exploratory talks” over a transfer.
The Telegraph claim the Gunners opened discussions with Chelsea as they look to pack out their squad with quality ahead of a season in the Champions League.
It will come as a blow to United, who are understood to be interested as they look to add numbers to their own squad.
Levy issues hands-off warning on Kane
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has issued a hands-off warning over Harry Kane.
United fans chanted they would see Kane in June during the 2-2 between United and Spurs last night.
However, the Daily Mail have now reported that Levy and Spurs will do everything in their power to ensure Kane stays put this summer.
Kane put in an impressive display against United despite not scoring
Maguire to be stripped of captaincy says Winterburn
Ex-Arsenal star Nigel Winterburn has warned Harry Maguire he will stripped of his captaincy if he does not leave Man United in the summer.
Speaking to Paddy Power, he said: “It’s unlikely that Harry Maguire will be Manchester United’s club captain next year because you want your club captain to be playing regular football.
“He certainly won’t be club captain, but whether he looks for a move away depends on whether he feels he’s getting enough game time or can force his way back into the team.
“My gut feeling is that he’ll move on from Manchester United if he doesn’t get the reassurances that he’ll be after.
“It’s a difficult situation because modern players are used to playing less and still being part of the squad.”
‘We lacked control’ – blasts Eriksen
Christian Eriksen has admitted complacency played a part in United throwing away a two-goal lead over Tottenham.
Eriksen was controversially hooked in the 61st minute of the match, but did not hold back when talking about the loss.
He told BT Sport: “I think we took a bit of the gas off.
“That was our problem. I think it has been [like] that for a few games, where we are sharp and [have not] kept it going.
“I think we lost a bit of energy, a bit of control, and they got belief, and it went the other way. That’s how it goes normally. When you are 2-0 down, anything can change quickly.
“We didn’t have the control to finish them off, [and we] gave them the chance to score the first goal. That gave [them] belief.”
    Super prediction
A supercomputer has predicted how the Premier League season will end.
Man City are tipped the win the title over Arsenal while Man Utd’s 2-2 draw will fortunately not their dent top four hopes too much.

    Stat attack
Marcus Rashford’s goal last night has distinguished him apart from his Man Utd colleagues.
His goal was not just significant for being his 29th of this season but also for being his 50th away goal in all competitions.
And this means he has now scored 19 more away goals for the Red Devils than any other player since his debut back in February 2016.

Current suitors Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al Thani are yet to meet the Glazers’ £6billion price-tag for a full buyout.
And the current United owners are now considering a minority option, meaning they will retain control at Old Trafford.
ESPN claims the Glazers are now warming strongly to the idea of staying put.
They reckon they can eventually double United’s valuation with fresh outside investment.

And the Glazers plan on sticking around for at least 10 more years.
Fans were left fuming on Twitter as they reacted to the news, with one saying: “If the Glazers dare to stay after all of this, there will be protests like never seen before.”
Another declared: “Full sale only! This is a pivotal moment in our history. The Glazers need to go.”
One noted: “United currently owe £969.6m through a combo of gross debt, bank borrowings and outstanding transfer fees.

“A reminder that United were debt free before the Glazers took over in 2005. Enough is enough.”
Another added: “They should leave United, we are tired of them.”
It’s the latest twist in a crazy takeover saga which has seen bids of £5bn come in from Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim.
The duo’s offer came as the deadline for bids was extended by 48 hours in farcical scenes.
And United announced last week that there was to be a THIRD round of bidding until the end of the month.
Racliffe and Sheikh Jassim are believed to be the only willing participants left for a full takeover.
But their dreams could be dashed following the Glazers’ talks with Carlyle over a minority stake.
Former United star Gary Neville blasted the links, saying: “No thank you! This doesn’t work for United!
“The Glazer PR machine keeps leaking this type of minority partnership out there bi-weekly whilst stressing it’s a confidential process. Full Sale Only.” More

Man Utd bidder Thomas Zilliacus has NOT pulled out of race to buy club but refuses to lodge a third offer

MANCHESTER UNITED bidder Thomas Zilliacus has confirmed he is still keen to buy the club from the Glazers. That is after Zilliacus lashed out on social media describing the ongoing takeover saga as a “farce” and accusing United’s unpopular owners of disrespecting the club.

However, the Finnish businessman set the record straight by insisting he still wants to win ownership of the Red Devils and his undisclosed second bid still stands.
But the entrepreneur insists he will not be dragged into a third-round bidding war because he thinks that’s “highly unprofessional”.
Zilliacus told the BBC: “My earlier offer still stands and I am willing to pay a premium above what I offered.
“I’m not going to be participating in a third round because I find it highly unprofessional.
    Read More on Man Utd
“I see no reason whatsoever why a third round is basically starting the whole thing from scratch.
“It seems odd to me that, if there is a genuine will to sell and you have three serious bidders, why you don’t sit down with the bidders, discuss and negotiate and hopefully come to a number that everyone can agree.”
Zilliacus criticised the Glazers once more as he questioned their will to reinforce the team next season.
The 69-year-old also warned there is a high possibility the American owners’ handling of the situation will have a “negative impact” on the club.

Zilliacus added: “I can’t see the Glazers spending a lot of money on new players. If they have decided to sell the club, why would they do that?
“The potential to have a negative impact on the club is big and is growing every day when there is no decision on this.”
This comes after bidders were informed they have until the end of the month to submit revised offers.
The Glazers are holding out for a staggering £6billion but so far the highest offers, from Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim Bin Al Thani, have only reached £5bn. More

Meanwhile, Man United midfielder Christian Eriksen is set to return to the starting line-up with Casemiro for their European clash with Sevilla on Thursday night.

    Marcus eyes “asap” return
United star Marcus Rashford issued a positive fitness update after being sidelined with an injury.
Rashford has been ruled out of Thursday’s Europa League clash with Sevilla at Old Trafford due to a muscle problem.
The winger picked up the knock on Saturday during United’s 2-0 victory over Everton in the Premier League.

The England international is also set to “be unavailable for a few games” following the quarter-final clash with the LaLiga giants.
However, the 25-year-old has eased some of the fans’ fears by revealing he is “working hard” with the Red Devils’ physios.
The Manchester giants’ top scorer of the season tweeted: “I’m working hard with the physio to get back asap! See you soon.”
Rashford’s injury comes as a major blow for United after 28 goals and 10 assists in 47 appearances across all competitions this season.
Bellingham would cost up to £130m
EXCLUSIVE: Manchester United and City City will have to pay as much as £130million to land Jude Bellingham, writes MARTIN BLACKBURN.
Liverpool have pulled out of the race to sign Borussia Dortmund’s 19-year-old superstar, but Real Madrid remain in the hunt.
City are interested and United could also move if their takeover is completed in time for the summer window.
Dortmund have not given up hope of keeping Bellingham for another season.
But if he does decide to go, the Germans believe the £138m deal they did with Barcelona for Ousmane Dembele in 2017 is a yardstick for how much they should get for the young Englishman.
Eriksen tipped to pair up with Casemiro
Christian Eriksen’s return to fitness is poised to be confirmed with a starting role alongside Casemiro in midfield tomorrow.
United manager Erik ten Hag is expected to pick his strongest possible side at home to Sevilla in the Champions League quarter-final first leg.
The main absentee will of course be injured 28-goal striker Marcus Rashford.
    Erik backs Antony
Erik ten Hag is sure winger Antony, 23,will come good.
The £85.5m Brazilian has seven goals in United colours — four of which have come in the FA Cup, Carabao Cup and Europa League.
Boss Ten Hag said: “Of course, we expect from front-line players that they are not only a threat but also they have effect in the final third. And he has to work on that — but he is a young player.
“You mention he is not scoring in the Premier League but he did score a really important goal against Real Betis after half-time and he did score against Barcelona, the winner, and you can’t say they are not big games. He has scored also in cup games.
“If you can do it in such games you can also do it in Premier League games, so I am not concerned about that.
“But like many more players, we have to have to step up and he has to step up as well and we have to win games together.
“He is still a very young player, he can kill opponents, we have seen on Saturday when the manager of Everton brings on another player at half-time because he is  killing the left full-back. He is able to do it but he has to do it every game.”
‘We play our best when Martial is firing’ – Ten Hag
The time has come for Anthony Martial to step up to the plate, writes NEIL CUSTIS.
With Marcus Rashford out for the next six games, Manchester United need the Frenchman fit and firing.
The fitness bit is the main issue, with the player constantly in and out of the squad with strains, pulls and knocks. Most recently it was a hip problem.
The 27-year-old — who spent the second half of last season on loan at Thursday’s Europa League opponents Sevilla — has seven goals this term from nine starts and a further eight sub appearances.
On Saturday, he grabbed his first goal since February 1 in the 2-0 win over Everton.
Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag has constantly defended the player despite admitting he is ‘fragile’ when it comes to injury.
But he insists that when he is in the team, United are at their best.
Ten Hag said: “You say I defended him but I just point to the stats. The stats are telling you that the moment he is on the pitch, then the time he needs for a goal is really less than others.
“When he is in the team, I refer to games against Manchester City, against Liverpool when he’s in the team, we play our best football and have our best results as a team.
“I just pointed to the stats and I see how he contributes to this team. He is ready to start a game.”
De Gea vows to shut out contract speculation
David de Gea vowed to keep his focus amid a contract stand-off.
United reportedly want to slash his weekly wages from £375,000 to £200k but the Spanish keeper will not sign.
De Gea, 32, is out of contract this summer — although United do have an option to extend  for a further 12 months.
But he said: “It is time just to be focused as we play many games in a row.

“It is not time to lose focus and think about contracts. My aim is to  keep going and play my best.”
De Gea insists he is still one of the top flight’s best goalkeepers, despite question marks over his distribution.
The Spaniard argues that  clean sheets are  the vital stat — and he has the most in the Premier League alongside Newcastle’s Nick Pope on 13.
In all competitions, he boasts 20, second only to Barcelona’s Marc-Andre ter Stegen (23).
And De Gea, who joined United in 2011 from Atletico Madrid for £17.8million, said: “When we keep a clean sheet, it means the team and I did a good job.
“But criticism is always there, you cannot please everyone. I have 20 clean sheets, close to the most in Europe, so we are doing a great job  and I help the team do it.”
Neville backs United’s for top four
Gary Neville has backed Manchester United to finish in a Champions League place while Tottenham and Newcastle battle it out for the other spot in the top four.
He has backed United to finish in the top four and thinks that the Magpies will join them even though Spurs still a “chance”.
Neville told Sky Sports: “I didn’t have Newcastle down as top-four probably three weeks ago and even after the United game, I thought ‘well they’ve got three tough away games now in West Ham, Brentford and Aston Villa.’
“You’ll probably drop points in that and it will give Tottenham and Liverpool maybe a chance.
“But looking at them now, watching them closely against Manchester United where I thought they were absolutely brilliant, I think they will finish in the top four now because their confidence will be so high.
“I thought Man Utd were really poor against Newcastle. But what we’ve seen with this side under Erik ten Hag is that they do respond and they do bounce back.”

    Third round bids
A third round of bidding is expected take place between prospective Manchester United buyers by the end of the month,
That is according to Sportico, who claim that the likes of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani will have to raise their bids.
That is because there are seven prospective ownership groups and all have apparently received feedback from Raine.
According to the Daily Mail, movement on the sale process is expected this week.
Sabitzer ‘giving everything’ until summer decision
Loan midfielder Marcel Sabitzer says he’ll “give everything” until his future is decided in the summer.
The Austria star joined from Bayern Munich in January for the rest of the season after Red Devils’ playmaker Christian Eriksen got injured.
Arsenal legend Ian Wright is among those pundits urging Old Trafford boss Erik ten Hag to sign Sabitzer permanently.
But the 29-year-old told German outlet BILD: “Manchester United made it clear that my loan was [a] project until the summer, then we’ll see.
“Until then, I want to give everything here. Then in the summer, the whole situation will be evaluated.”
Gunners tipped to target ex-Utd winger
Arsenal could finally land Wilfried Zaha this summer.
The ex-Manchester United winger’s Crystal Palace deal runs out this summer.
And SportBible suggest Emirates boss Mikel Arteta is tempted to launch a free transfer bid for the 30-year-old.
Zaha struggled at Old Trafford from 2013-15 but returned to Selhurst Park to thrive again.
Christian must Cara on waiting for silverware
Christian Eriksen has claimed he is still waiting for his Carabao Cup winners medal.
The midfielder missed the final against Newcastle with injury, but is still due to get one after playing in the earlier rounds.
Eriksen told Man United’s podcast: “I haven’t got it yet, no. I’m supposed to get one. I will get a medal at some point.
“It’s different though, when you don’t play in the final.
“Obviously [those who played] get it [winners medal] on the pitch, celebrate and do their stuff.
“And there’s me limping around in a boot, trying not to do too much.
“But still you want to be a part of it.”
    Rashford ‘back for final weeks’
United have confirmed crocked striker Marcus Rashford will miss a “few games”.
But the Red Devils expect their 28-goal England striker to return for the “final weeks of the season”.
That means Rashford will definitely miss tomorrow’s Europa league quarter-final first leg at home to Sevilla.
Toon ‘join Arsenal and Utd in Rice race’
Newcastle have reportedly joined the race to sign Declan Rice this summer.
But they will have to see off competition from Arsenal and Manchester United for the West Ham captain.
Rice, 24, has spent his entire pro career in east London.

He’s played 232 times after making his senior debut in 2017.
But the England ace is now being tipped for a move away this summer.
Rice has made no secret of his desire to play Champions League football.
And Arsenal are thought to be leading the charge for his signature.
United are also interested in Rice as they bid to return to Europe’s elite competition.
However, Newcastle are now ready to stun their rivals after a spectacular season under Eddie Howe.
The Magpies are third in the table and look good for a shock Champions League spot after some impressive results.
Red Devils train after 999 alert
United stars are in training after an incident at Carrington that led to a 999 call.
The emergency services rushed to United’s base due to a car rolling down a bank outside.

Up to ten firetrucks, police cars and ambulances blocked the road while dealing with the incident and thankfully nobody has been hurt.
Calm around Carrington has since been restored and the players headed out for a practice session ahead of their Europa League tie with Sevilla tomorrow.

The likes of Rapheal Varane, Harry Maguire and Anthony Martial were pictured in training.
Christian Eriksen also featured as he hopes for his first start since returning from injury.
Casemiro is also expected to play tomorrow, having missed United’s previous four matches due to suspension.
However, Marcus Rashford was not seen in training after he picked up a groin issue in the 2-0 win over Everton.

Utd target Kane ‘needs a change’
Harry Kane has been urged to join either Man United or Bayern Munich this summer by Richard Keys.
He told Casinos En Ligne: “Kane’s worth now is not what it was. And as the months and then the season subsequently pass it’s only going to get less and less as his contract diminishes.
“So {Spurs} have got a big decision to make. I think that they will be looking to sell this summer. If I’m Kane I’m looking to leave this summer. I think that would suit all parties.
“I think Kane needs a change. There are two clubs that I think would suit him. The first, if he wants to be part of a project, that’s Manchester United.
“If he wants to go and win things: Bayern Munich. The only guarantee of a trophy next season for Kane is in Germany.”

Brown backing United title charge with signings
Brown has also suggested that Man United can win the Premier League title next season should they sign Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham.
He said: “If Manchester United sign Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham, they win the league in the next three years. I don’t see why they couldn’t with those players and the manager they have.
“Kane wants to go to Manchester United; they’d love him. We know what he can do in the Premier League, so they aren’t messing about there. He is a bit older and will probably cost a lot of money, but he will do the job straight away.
“He’ll bring the missing piece United can’t seem to get right at the moment. They need someone that is scoring goals week in, week out.”

    Brown on Rashford contract
Brown also admitted that he believes that Marcus Rashford will sign a new contract at Old Traford.
He said: “I think it will happen. Obviously, these things take time these days but, he is the star of the team, and they will do anything to keep him there.
“I just think there will be a lot of details there that both parties are going to need to be happy with, but I am pretty sure he will stay at Manchester United, and their future will be brighter together.”

    Maguire faces ‘difficult decision’
Former Manchester United defender Wes Brown has insisted that Harry Maguire faces a difficult summer as he decides whether or not to leave the club.
He told William Hill and Footy Accumulators’ podcast, No Tippy Tappy Football: “It’s a tough one. No one wants to leave Manchester United, but Erik ten Hag isn’t playing him as much anymore. It doesn’t look like he is going to be there in the starting 11 when everyone is fit.
“It will be a difficult decision, but things could turn around quickly, and he’ll be straight back in. Football is a crazy game! I think he’ll sit down in the summer with his people and have some big chats, they’ll talk it out and see what happens from there. I think it will be up to Harry in the end.
“He plays well for England; he’s come under a lot of stick the last couple of seasons and I think he has handled it quite well. It gets to the point where it is too much but that is modern football, you have to be able to handle it. Ultimately, he’ll be disappointed he hasn’t played as much but the manager has gone with different players. Personally, he’ll have to look at it and I’m sure the manager will want him to stay, but he’ll want to talk to him and determine if he is going to play more. From there it is his decision.
“When I was a player, Sir Alex Ferguson said he wanted me to stay and that I wouldn’t be playing as much, but they still needed me. Anything can happen, and you’ll be in. I just hope that he has those conversations with the manager because I think that Harry does need to play, he is not as bad of a player as everybody thinks.”
Old Trafford misses out on Euros
Old Trafford has not been submitted as one of the ten stadiums that have been submitted for the UK and Ireland’s joint bid for Euro 2028.

    RIO’S RAGE
Rio Ferdinand has recalled a blazing row with Sir Alex Ferguson that left Bayern Munich stars stunned.
The Scot, who was known for his hairdryer treatment, was on the other end of it one night – when Ferdinand disagreed with a substitution in a loss to the German giants.
And Ferdinand, 44, has revealed Bayern star Mark van Bommel thought he was a “lunatic” after witnessing the argument.
Speaking to former team-mate Ben Foster on the Fozcast, Ferdinand said: “I remember he made a substitution in the game that I didn’t agree with. After the game I remember walking off the pitch and I was screaming, going nuts in the changing room and the tunnel.
“I remember Van Bommel, the Bayern player, looking at me thinking what is going on with this guy, lunatic.”
Saka ‘is better’ than United legend
Gabby Agbonlahor believes that Arsenal star Bukayo Saka is a better player than Man United legend David Beckham.
He said on talkSPORT: “I’d pick Saka over Beckham if I could pick an England team.
“I said it during the World Cup, I would have Saka over Beckham.
“When I saw Saka at the World Cup, he was outstanding. In the Euros just gone as well, he was outstanding.
“Kept [Phil] Foden out of the team. If I’m picking my best England team, I’m having Saka on that right-hand side.
“Pace, scores goals, more of an all-round game. Can take players on, score goals, get assists as well. I’m picking Saka.”

Newport boss wants United prospect back
Graham Coughlan has admitted that he would like the club to re-sign Manchester United youngster Charlie McNeill, when asked about his summer transfer plans.
He told the South Wales Argus: “We had to bring in young players in January and couldn’t do what some other clubs did but I don’t think anybody has signed better when you include Harry Charsley.
“The age and experience might count against them but they have been brilliant and I hope we can keep giving them the education and development they need to go back to their parent clubs and compete for the first team after massive growth.
“But I wouldn’t say no to having them here again next season if Middlesbrough, Manchester United and Stoke were open to that. I will pursue them for sure.”

    RED ALERT
Several emergency vehicles were called to Manchester United’s training ground after a car rolled down a bank.
A silver car was seen on the “edge of a cliff”, which prompted panic at Carrington.
Up to 10 emergency vehicles were reported at Carrington.
Thankfully nobody was believed to have been hurt in the incident, according to Sky Sports News.
A reporter from the channel was live from the scene giving the latest on Man United following an update on Marcus Rashford’s injury.
But he had to explain the chaos unfolding behind him with a fire engine visible in the TV shot.

MANCHESTER UNITED bidder Thomas Zilliacus has pulled out of the club’s “farcical” takeover saga. The Glazers sanctioned a third round of bidding after failing to accept any offer so far for United.
I have declined participation in a third bidding round for United. The bidding is turning into a farce, with Glazers giving no respect to the club. The delays will make it very difficult for any new owner to build a winning team for next season.— Thomas Zilliacus (@TZilliacus) April 12, 2023

CASINO SPECIAL – BEST ONLINE CASINOS FOR 2023
    Marcus Rashford message
Manchester United are still waiting to find out if Marcus Rashford is going to be sidelined for a key part of their treble bid.
Rashford has been enjoying the best goalscoring season of his career, having found the net 28 times so far.
But there are fears the forward could be out for a number of weeks after he limped out of Saturday’s win over Everton with a groin injury.
Rashford posted a cryptic update on his Instagram stories, saying: “Plenty more in the tank.”
    Ferguson transfer war
Brighton star Evan Ferguson is set to become the subject of a transfer tug-of-war between Manchester United and Tottenham.
According to Daily Mail, United and Spurs want Ferguson, 18, ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils have been looking for a striker ever since Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure.
Spurs, on the other hand, are facing the prospect of losing Harry Kane in June.
    Harry Maguire hint
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag heaped praise on Harry Maguire following his performance against Everton.
United beat the Toffees 2-0 at Old Trafford thanks to goals from Scott McTominay and Anthony Martial.
Ten hag said: “Maguire was dominating, dictating. This is a different Harry to what I’ve seen in the first weeks and months.
“He’s taking so much initiative, dominating his opponent, stepping in, bringing passes. So a really great performance”.

    Ferdinand slams Carragher
Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has responded to Jamie Carragher’s claim that Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk is “far better” than his former centre-back partner Nemanja Vidic ever was.
Ferdinand told Vibe with Five: “I see Jamie Carragher tweeted something about Van Dijk being better than Vidic.
“I think [Fernando] Torres scored three goals in 15 games against Vidic.
“It’s a bit of a myth, he had a couple of dodgy moments in those games and got sent off a couple of times and that’s been amplified into saying he got tortured every time he played against Torres which wasn’t the case.
“[Marcus] Rashford’s got six goals in 13 games against Liverpool, does that mean he’s tortured Van Dijk?”
    Marc my words
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has bizarrely been told to “shut up” by Palmeiras boss Abel Ferreira.
Ten Hag was left fuming after star man Marcus Rashford picked up an injury in their 2-0 win over Everton.
Ferreira said: “Football here has fantastic things, but there are others that are inhumane. Nine games in a month.
“The Manchester United coach the other day complained that Rashford was injured due to the sequence of games they have.
“I would like to ask him or tell him: ‘In these next two months, I’m going to have nine games in both months. Shut up, because you don’t know what you’re saying.'”
    Samir Nasri statement
Arsenal hero Samir Nasri has admitted that the Gunners were terrified about facing Manchester United with Cristiano Ronaldo in the team.
Nasri revealed in an interview with ZackNaniProd that Arsenal “s*** ourselves” when they were dismantled 4-1 on aggregate by United in the Champions League.
The ex-Manchester City star said: “It was the first time I’d seen the Emirates with such a crazy atmosphere, you had flags everywhere and all.
“When you go into a match with shivers down your spine, you can feel you’re going to have a great game.
“And we s**t ourselves. We s**t ourselves, and we came up against a great Cristiano Ronaldo.”

    Never say Neves
Wolves are still working on a long-term deal for contract rebel and Manchester United target Ruben Neves, writes SunSport’s Jordan Davies.
Neves’ deal at Molineux runs out next summer – potentially ending a seven-year stay in the Midlands after joining from Porto back in 2017.
SunSport understands Wolves are preparing a last-gasp attempt to stop the 26-year-old departing for a cut-price fee.
With European interest in the midfielder cooling as of late, the player may be resigned to finally signing.
But the Portugal international’s wage demands exceeding £100,000-a-week will be the main sticking point.
Neves is also prepared to wait until the club can guarantee top flight safety – with Wolves currently four points off the drop with eight matches remaining.
    Felix bid latest
Manchester United target Joao Felix is believed to be “comfortable” at Chelsea, where he plays on loan
According to AS, Felix has been linked with a move to Old Trafford after impressing at Stamford Bridge.
However, the Red Devils appear to be facing an uphill battle to sign striker.
The Manchester giants would struggle especially if the Portugal international prefers a permanent move to the Blues from Atletico Madrid.
    Harry Kane reminder
Manchester United could miss out on signing Tottenham superstar Harry Kane.
That is because United are believed to be facing competition from European powerhouse Real Madrid.
Paris Saint-Germain are also keeping tabs on Kane ahead of the summer transfer window.
The two clubs could make a move for the star striker once his contract expires at Spurs, according to the Daily Mail.
    All change at United
Man United are planning a major summer clear-out which could reportedly see as many as THIRTEEN stars shipped out.
Boss Erik ten Hag wants to get his squad into better shape for another campaign challenging on multiple fronts next season.
But the set of players he wants to move on has some more than decent quality in it.

    Felix ‘comfortbale’ at Chelsea
Reported Man United target Joao Felix is believed to be ‘comfortable at Chelsea.
According to AS, the Portugeuse attacker has been linked with a move to Old Trafford after impressing at Stamford Bridge.
However, they appear to be facing an uphill battle to sign Felix if he would prefer a permanent move to the Blues from Atletico Madrid.

    Hammers linked with Wan-Bissaka
West Ham are reportedly interested in signing Man United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka after missing out on him in the January window.
According to a report from Football Insider, the Hammers are hoping to upgrade their right-back spot in the summer and the former Crystal Palace man is a target.
However, they would have to beat the Eagles to the defender as they are also monitoring his situation at Old Trafford.
    Rasford ‘happy’ at United
Marcus Rashford is reportedly “not happy” with reports suggesting he wants a crazy salary and believes the club is on the edge of success.
Fabrizio Romano tweeted: “Marcus Rashford was not happy with recent reports of “crazy” salary requests.
“He’s understood to be really happy with how things are developing at Man Utd and feels success is around the corner.
“New deal talks will continue soon – Rashford loves working under ten Hag.”
    Eriksen on ‘special’ Old Trafford
Christian Eriksen has admitted that the atmosphere at Old Trafford can help Man United
He told club media: “The vibe in the stadium as an away player was intense but not really scary.
“And then coming here and playing every game, I do get why some people – especially now and how it’s going – are scared to play because of the crowd. [They are] good people, good fans. It’s a wonderful stadium and big enough I think.
“[It was] weird [walking out of the tunnel as a United player for the first time]. The same as when you walk into the stadium, walking to the right instead of the left [to get to the] changing rooms and stuff.
“So that was a bit of a different feeling compared to being here the last few times but no, it was special.”

    FER REAL
Rio Ferdinand has responded to Jamie Carragher’s claim that Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk is “far better” than Nemanja Vidic ever was for Manchester United.
Carragher, 45, was critical of Liverpool’s back line in the first half against Arsenal at the weekend as the Reds fell 2-0 behind before coming back to clinch a thrilling 2-2 draw.
Ferdinand has now hit back at Carragher’s comments by defending his former centre-back partner Vidic.
Speaking on the Vibe with Five YouTube channel, he said: “I see Jamie Carragher tweeted something about Van Dijk being better than Vidic.
“I think Torres scored three goals in 15 games against Vidic. It’s a bit of a myth, he had a couple of dodgy moments in those games and got sent off a couple of times and that’s been amplified into saying he got tortured every time he played against Torres which wasn’t the case.
“[Marcus] Rashford’s got six goals in 13 games against Liverpool, does that mean he’s tortured Van Dijk?”

    INCE SACKED
Man Unit star Paul Ince has been sacked as Reading manager.
A club statement read: “Reading Football Club can confirm that the contract of first team manager Paul Ince has been terminated with immediate effect.”
“Ince took the reins on a permanent basis in the summer and, having to cope with strict transfer embargo restrictions, he helped to piece together a new squad on a much-reduced wage budget – and with five wins from our first seven home games the season began brightly.
“However, without a win in our last eight matches and with a relegation battle to fight following a six-point deduction imposed last week, owner Mr Dai Yongge has decided that a change is needed.”

    Kane blow
Man United could reportedly miss out on signing Tottenham star Harry Kane.
The Red Devils are believed to be facing competition from European powerhouses Real Madrid and PSG.
The two clubs could make a move for the England International once his contract expires at Spurs, according to the Daily Mail.

    Praise for Maguire
Erik ten Hag has heaped praise on Harry Maguire after the victory over Everton.
He said: “Maguire was dominating, dictating.
“This is a different Harry to what I’ve seen in the first weeks and months.
“He’s taking so much initiative, dominating his opponent, stepping in, bringing passes.
    “So a really great performance”.
    United backed to sign Felix
Gabby Agbonlahor has urged Man United to axe four stars and poach Joao Felix from under the noses of Chelsea.
Agbonlahor told Football Insider: “I really like what he’s [Felix] done so far. I’ve seen a different side to him at Chelsea. At Atletico, he was playing too deep and wasn’t suited to how they play.
“At Chelsea, you see him getting on the ball, twisting past players – and he’s got a bit of pace as well. I really like him, but he’s got to be more clinical.
“I don’t see any reason why Man United can’t get him. They need options if they’re in the Champions League next season.
“Martial isn’t good enough, nor is Weghorst – scrap them. Antony and Sancho haven’t been great, so you’re talking about Rashford as their only threat.
“They need help, or it could be an embarrassing time in the Champions League for them. Felix, for me, would be a good signing for them.”

    EVAN ALMIGHTY
Evan Ferguson is set to become the subject of a transfer tug-of-war between three clubs, according to reports.
The teenage sensation has burst onto the scene this season, scoring eight goals since his breakthrough into Brighton’s senior team.
Despite his youth, the qualities he is showing have seen interest in him emerge from Manchester United and Tottenham.
The Daily Mail report the two sides want the 18-year-old striker in the summer.
In the Man Utd camp, Erik ten Hag wants to overhaul his strikeforce by bringing in Ferguson and a more experienced striker.
One of the stars they are most linked with is Harry Kane at Spurs.

    United legend facing sack
Former Man United star Paul Ince is reportedly on the brink of being sacked by Reading.
It comes after the Royals’ latest 2-1 defeat against Preston left them in the Championship relegation zone with just five games to go.
The result means Reading are without a win in their last eight games, with their most recent win coming back in February.
According to The Telegraph, the Reading board held crisis talks over Ince’s future at the club on Saturday following the 1-1 draw with Birmingham.
The club’s situation has not been helped after being deducted six points by EFL.
    McTominay linked with Hammers
Man United midfielder Scott McTominay has been linked with a move to West Ham by various reports.
The Scottish star could leave Old Trafford in the summer as one of many fringe players to be sold to bolster the club’s transfer budget.
West Ham could view the McTominay as a replacement for the highly sought-after Declan Rice.

    Good morning Man Utd fans
Man Utd are interested in signing Celta Vigo starlet Gabri Veiga, according to reports.
The Red Devils are “keeping tabs” on the 20-year-old having been impressed by his displays in Spain this season.
Veiga, 20, has bagged nine goals and laid on four assists in 26 LaLiga appearances from midfield this term.
But according to Football Insider, Arsenal are also keen on making a bid and could cough up more cash.
Meanwhile, Man Utd have been told to pay £35million for Brentford goalie David Raya.
The Spaniard is being eyed as a replacement for compatriot David De Gea.
And Fabrizio Romano says Raya has categorically rejected the chance to extend his Bees deal, leading to a potential summer exit.
United will now have to fork over £35m for the gloveman, and also face a battle against Chelsea for his signature.
Finally, Wolves are still working on a long-term deal for contract rebel Ruben Neves.
The Portuguese midfielder’s deal at Molineux runs out next summer.
However, SunSport understands Wolves are preparing a last-gasp attempt to stop the 26-year-old leaving for a cut-price fee.
Arsenal were previously monitoring the situation, while Manchester United have come close to nabbing the £40m-rated playmaker on two separate occasions.
    Erik ready for Dutch raid
Man Utd manager Erik ten Hag sent scouts to watch two Feyenoord players in action earlier this week, according to reports.
According to The Mirror, he has his sights set on Feyenoord duo Orkun Kokcu and Santiago Gimenez.
Man Utd representatives were in Rotterdam on Wednesday for the KNVB Cup semi-final clash between Ten Hag’s former club Ajax and Feyenoord.
It is understood that they were there to watch Kokcu and Gimenez in action, with both men impressing on the night.

It comes after senior Government officials reportedly expressed concerns over Sheikh Jassim.
He is chairman of one of Qatar’s biggest banks, QIB, which has assets of £42bn.
Sheikh Jassim is bidding as a private individual via his Nine Two Foundation, rather than using any QIB funds.
But Government reservations are understood to relate to a £1.4m fine handed out to QIB’S UK unit by the Bank of England.
The 2016 punishment was for violating capital financial rules that left the bank exposed to high levels of risk.
Regulators said QIB had “failed to meet some of the most basic regulatory standards”.
QIB claimed at the time to have taken “remedial action” to prevent a recurrence.
Representatives for Sheikh Jassim and the DCMS declined to comment. More

    Unlucky number for summer exits
Man Utd are ready to clear the shelves this summer.
    That’s by ditching a whopping 13 players.
The Mail claims stalwarts like captain Harry Maguire will leave Old Trafford this summer.
And that will open the door for Erik ten Hag to bring in numerous signings who fit his tactics better.

    Supercomputer reveals final Prem table
A Supercomputer has predicted the final Premier League table outcome.
And Man Utd are tipped to secure Champions League football.
It’s reckoned United will finish fourth behind Newcastle to return to Europe’s elite competition.
Meanwhile, Arsenal will pip Man City to the title, and Brighton will reach the Europa League.

    United discover Raya price tag
Man Utd have been told to pay £35million for Brentford goalie David Raya.
The Spaniard is being eyed as a replacement for compatriot David De Gea.

United will now have to fork over £35m for the gloveman, and also face a battle against Chelsea for his signature.
    Candy Kane sweet for Devils
Man Utd have been given a boost in their pursuit of Harry Kane.
That’s because Bayern Munich admit they may not be able to afford the England captain this summer.
Kane could finally leave Tottenham as he approaches the end of his contract and career.
But Bayern’s chief financial officer Dr Michael Diederich revealed: “I don’t rule anything out but can we afford such a transfer and do we want such a transfer? We have to keep an eye on our profitability.”
    Super Harry on the up
Erik ten Hag believes Harry Maguire is finally proving his worth to Man Utd.
The Dutchman said: “It is not that easy for Harry [to be rotated]. And then if you then deliver the performance he did today, really well done, in and out of possession, dominating and dictating.
“I think this is a different Harry Maguire [to] what I have seen in the first weeks, months.
“He’s taken so much initiative, dominating his opponent, stepping in, bringing passes. So a really great performance from Harry.”
