Carl Froch believes Tyson Fury could RETIRE after epic Deontay Wilder win as there’s ‘nothing left for him to do’

CARL FROCH believes WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury could RETIRE after his emphatic win over Deontay Wilder.Fury held on to his world title and kept his unbeaten record in professional boxing intact on Saturday, knocking Wilder out in round 11.

And now the 33-year-old has put his rivalry with Wilder to bed, Froch believes Fury could retire as there’s ‘nothing left for him to do’.
Froch said in his Sky Sports Column: “There is nothing left for him to do. I wouldn’t be surprised if he retired.
“Depending upon how much he loves the sport, and how much he wants to go in there and do it all again, I wouldn’t be surprised if Fury says: ‘I have done my bit and now I am finished’.”
But the Brit has urged the Gypsy King to take on the winner of the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua.
Usyk stylishly beat Joshua for his WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO titles at the end of last month at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The rematch isn’t set to take place until the start of next year, though.
Froch continued: “I’d like to see him take on AJ. I’d like to see him take on Usyk to see how that fight would go.
“People want to see AJ rectify his bad performance against Usyk, or maybe even see Usyk against Fury.
“As a boxing fan, I want to see Usyk take on Fury. I don’t think he can do it – I think Fury is too big, too clever for him.”
Fury’s dad John agrees with Froch, and has urged his son to fight NO ONE else but Usyk.

Dad John told talkSPORT: “He’s gotta go look for Usyk or nothing, in my idea.
    “It’s Usyk next, or nothing.
“I wouldn’t bother with the rest of them, they’re not in Tyson’s class.
“Would Dillian Whyte deal with Deontay Wilder?
“No. So why would they wanna put him in with my son and get him knocked out?
“Tyson can’t get up for them kind of fights. For me, I’ve told him, Usyk or don’t bother.”
Fury has also been praised by Wilder’s head coach as ‘one of the best heavyweights of ANY era’.

Coach Malik Scott gave his assessment of the war in Sin City on Instagram, he said: “Tyson, incredible fighter you are.
“You have a very uncanny way of bringing out the best in people and I really embraced this mission with open arms knowing we was [sic] going up against one of the best heavyweights of ANY era and with my man @kronksugarhill being your head trainer made the task even more intriguing.
“Last night we was great but you guys was greater. Congratulations on a victory well earned. ‘Boxing Wins Again.'”

Inside Tyson Fury’s pool party with wife Paris, brother Tommy and pals as he shows off scars of war with Deontay Wilder

TYSON FURY took his well-earned celebrations to a pool party where he showed off his scars of war with Deontay Wilder. The Gypsy King brilliantly beat American Wilder once more after 11 thrilling rounds in Las Vegas.

Heavyweight hero Fury partied until 3am in Sin City and was raving on stage with DJ Steve Aoki.
After a private recuperating lunch with wife and mother-of-six Paris, the WBC king arrived at the Wet Republic pool party around 3pm Vegas time.
Wet Republic is a massive pool party complex next to the MGM Grand with DJs and hot tubs, which hosted a party attended by Prince Harry in 2012.
It was the same place Fury partied at after beating Tom Schwarz in 2019, the day after he made his Vegas debut.
Flanked by his team, the 6ft 9in ace instantly took over the exclusive and extortionate venue, with fans going crazy to see him.
Fellow Travellers had paid thousands to be seated next to Britain’s unbeaten icon and crowded around the giant for photos and videos.
Hiding his shaven head under the scorching glare of the Vegas sun in a baseball cap, he dusted off a few dance moves up on his private cabana before settling down.

One picture even showed a mark on Fury’s back, with the effects of the trilogy fight there for all to see.
The two-time champion, 33, again won over the hearts of boxing fans for his astonishing display in the ring.
A total of five knockdowns were scored in the fight, three going Fury’s way with the other two coming from Wilder, 35, in round four.
But the Gypsy King – who only five years ago quit boxing and ballooned up to almost 30 stone – showcased his never-say-die attitude.
It got him up from the floor twice in the fight, and allowed him to floor Wilder in the tenth before closing the show in the following round.
Wilder played his part too, refusing to stop throwing and even threatening to turn the fight on its head after every right hand he threw.

But Fury, who drew with the former champ in 2018 but won the rematch last year, proved to well and truly have his great rival’s number.
In his post-fight afterparty, he told clubbers: “They’ll be talking about this f***ing fight a thousand years from today.
“They’ll say where were you? You were all here with the champ!”
Fury is expected to travel back to England with his family soon, and return to his home in Lancashire.
He already knows the winner between Dillian Whyte, 33, and Otto Wallin, 30, at the end of the month will then be ordered to fight him next.

Watch moment Tyson Fury almost snaps ANKLE in horror injury during brutal Deontay Wilder clash leaving fans squirming

TYSON FURY revealed he nearly broke his ankle after flooring Deontay Wilder for the first time. In an epic trilogy bout which included FIVE knockdowns, in round three Fury scored the first.

But it almost ended in disaster as when he followed through, his ankle almost gave way.
Wilder was backed up against the ropes when Fury landed a two-punch combination.
And when the American was reeling backwards, he followed up with an uppercut and Wilder was down before the follow up left hook landed.
But Fury later explained it nearly caused a catastrophic injury, which was still aching after his gruelling 11 round thriller.
He told iFL TV: “When I hit him with an uppercut, bang in the first [third] round, dropped him, I nearly broke my ankle.
“I went over on my ankle, my ankle’s hurt.”

Fury, 33, looked to have the fight almost won after sending Wilder to the canvas.
But in the following round, disaster struck as he was TWICE dropped himself but amazingly recovered to fight on.
Fury later regained control and put Wilder down for a second time in the tenth, signalling the beginning of the end.
It was in the next round a brutal right hand closed the show and their trilogy series in style.
Fury said: “Today wasn’t my greatest night. Two years out the ring, wasn’t all there completely.
“But I still did enough to be victorious and showed heart and b****s like a lion again.”

Tyson Fury’s amazing message to Deontay Wilder four years ago sums up Gypsy King’s incredible comeback from depression

TYSON FURY is a man of his word….. he put Deontay Wilder on notice four years ago telling him ‘I’m coming back for you’, and he DID.Go back four years, Fury was 25 stone, battling depression and contemplating taking his own life.
Tyson Fury sent this message to Deontay Wilder back in 2017…350lbs, struggling with his mental health, and written off by nearly everyone in the boxing world! What a journey it’s been for The Gypsy King!#FuryWilder3 pic.twitter.com/CrQbr267dw— The Fight Bubble (@thefightbubble) October 10, 2021

Fury’s chances of making a triumphant return to heavyweight boxing were written off by many, including Wilder.
The Brit took Wilder’s words in particular as motivation to stage one of the greatest comebacks in sports history.
In a message to Wilder back in 2017, Fury said: “Guess who’s back? The one and only.
“Shout going out to the big ‘Bronze Bomber’ Deontay Wilder. Big respect, for giving me the motivation, telling me I can’t do it and that I’m finished.
“I’m coming back for you baby. I’m coming back for you!”
Fury also told Wilder face-to-face after his win against Francesco Pianeta back in 2018: “Listen, my promise is, I got my rounds here tonight, ten rounds.

“But one thing I promise when I go to Las Vegas, is I’m knocking you the f*** out bum.”
Fast forward back to the present day, Fury has fought Wilder three times – winning two of them – and has be true to his word by coming for the American and knocking him out.
Fury also became a two-time world heavyweight champion in the process.
The Gypsy King is yet to be beaten after 32 professional fights, and Dillian Whyte is the frontrunner to face Fury should he get past Otto Wallin at the end of the month.
It’s not quite the all-British blockbuster heavyweight unification fight fans were hoping to see in 2022.
But it’s another part of Fury’s journey to heavyweight unification.
Fans had been calling for Anthony Joshua to fight Fury with all the heavyweight belts on the line.
But Joshua lost his WBA, WBO and IBF titles to Oleksandr Usyk last month.
Joshua has exercised his rematch clause with the fight not set to take place anytime soon.
And winning the belts back from Usyk will not be an easy task.

Deontay Wilder was not ‘coherent enough’ to shake Tyson Fury’s hand after his ‘SOUL’ was taken in fight, David Haye says

DAVID HAYE believes Deontay Wilder was not ‘coherent enough’ to shake Tyson Fury’s hand after his ‘SOUL’ was taken in their trilogy. Wilder had been brutally knocked out in round 11 when Fury tried to make peace by offering his hand.

But the Gypsy King later revealed his efforts were knocked back by his American rival, who he branded a ‘sore loser’.
However, ex-champion Hayemaker, 40, told iFL TV: “You don’t know where Wilder’s head is at.
“There’s so much ego, so much at stake for him. His whole life was at stake.
“Tyson Fury has literally taken his soul. And now also Tyson Fury wants a handshake.
“I’m sure in his mind; he’s like, ‘I’m not giving you anything else, you’ve taken everything; you’ve ruined me.’
“Maybe he said, ‘I can’t even give you my hand.’ And also, he’s taken a lot of punches to the head.

“You’re not going to be coherent enough to maybe shaking somebody’s hand, it’s complicate.
“You don’t know where someone is at emotionally. He might have had a breakdown if he shook his hand.
“Maybe the realisation of ‘This man is better than me. Maybe he just doesn’t ever want it to go to that point, I dunno.
“It would have been nice for him to shake hands and embrace him and say, ‘Yeah, you’re the better man. You beat me tonight; you beat me last time out. Good luck in the future’.
    “But everyone’s different.”
Fury’s clear attempt to embrace the fallen ex-champ, only given the cold shoulder, was caught on camera.
You don’t know where Wilder’s head is at. There’s so much ego, so much at stake. His whole life was at stake. Tyson Fury had literally taken his soulDavid Haye
When asked what happened, he told BT Box Office: “I said, ‘Well done.’ And he said, ‘I don’t wanna show any sportsmanship or respect.’
“I said, ‘No problem.’ I was very surprised by that but he’s a sore loser, an idiot.
“To be a top fighting man, you’ve got to show guts and respect and he couldn’t do it tonight. And that’s it.
“He couldn’t do it so I’ll pray for him. I’m just thankful we all got out the fight in one piece and go home to our lovely families.”
Wilder’s trainer Malik Scott revealed the snub was because his fighter still holds ill-will towards Fury, after accusing him of cheating in their rematch.
Scott, 40, told EsNews: “Deontay, he obviously looks at Fury as a man he had serious issues with concerning some certain allegations that was out.
“And certain things that he has actually seen with his own eyes. Tonight, after they released all that energy, he still felt the way he felt.”
    GLOVE STORY
Fury, 33, drew with Wilder, 35, in 2018 and then brilliantly won the rematch in seven rounds last year.
But the Bronze Bomber refused to accept the result and blamed the loss on everything but a masterclass in boxing.
His excuses varied from Fury fighting with WEIGHTS in his gloves and someone SPIKING his water.
These were accusations Wilder stuck by, but never proved.
Even before the trilogy bout, Fury’s gloves were cut up to check the padding in his Paffen Gloves, which were made with the thinner horsehair.
They were cleared by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, and later used to three times knock Wilder down, who was eventually beaten with a round to go.

Tyson Fury has ‘too much mass’ for Usyk and should ‘ride off into the sunset’ if he becomes undisputed, says Andre Ward

TYSON FURY will have ‘too much mass’ for Oleksandr Usyk and should ‘ride off into the sunset’ if he becomes undisputed champion. That is the view of American boxing legend and now pundit Andre Ward, who was ringside for Fury’s epic trilogy win over Deontay Wilder.

After the Gypsy King retained his WBC title, a unification with newly crowned WBA, IBF and WBO champ Usyk has been touted.
But Ward, who won belts at super-middleweight and light-heavy, insisted 19st 11lb Fury will be too big for Usyk.
The Ukrainian was just 14st 4lb for much of his career before rising to 15st 11lb for last month’s win over AJ.
Ward told Behind The Gloves: “He’s not going to beat Tyson Fury. Tyson Fury is just not some big lumbering guy. He’s skillful, he can fight.
“It’s just too much mass, I think, but Anthony Joshua has to fight Usyk in a rematch.”
Joshua, 31, and Fury, 33, were set to fight in the first-ever, four-belt undisputed fight in August.
But 35-year-old Wilder, who drew to Fury in 2018 but lost the rematch last year, prevented the unification by taking his right to a trilogy to arbitration.

After he was successful, AJ was then ordered to face mandatory challenger Usyk, 34, and lost in late September.
The pair are now due to rematch after Joshua invoked his right to a rematch.

Now Fury is set to return against either Dillian Whyte, 33, or Otto Wallin, 30, with the winner of their October 30 fight becoming WBC mandatory.
It leaves his hopes of undisputed glory another hurdle away, but retired Ward, 37, backed him to one day reach that pinnacle, and then call it a day.
He said: “If successful, ride off into the sunset. He has nothing else left to prove.”

TYSON FURY has been enjoying himself in Las Vegas after beating Deontay Wilder to retain his heavyweight world titles.Fury partied with DJ Steve Aoki in Sin City until 3am after his incredible KO win over the American.
In a truly unbelievable third round, Fury dropped Wilder before being dropped TWICE himself.
And the Bronze Bomber would be knocked to the ground four times before eventually succumbing to defeat and getting taken to hospital.
Fury roared: “Like the great John Wayne said I am made from pig iron and steel baby!
“I was down a couple of times and hurt and Wilder is a tough man too after he got up a few times too.
“It was a great fight tonight, worthy of any trilogy in the sport, I always said I am the first best and he is second.

Tyson Fury has been told to have a long break by Richie Woodhall, who fears he may only be motivated by Anthony Joshua beating Oleksandr Usyk.
Fury retained his WBC title after 11 gruelling rounds with Deontay Wilder, which ended with a brutal knockout.
He is now set to face the winner between Dillian Whyte and Otto Wallin, who will become WBC mandatory after their October 30 fight.
But former world champion Woodhall thinks Joshua, who lost to Usyk in September but is set for a rematch, is still Fury’s true target.
He told told BBC 5 Live: “My concerns are not only for Wilder but for Tyson as well.
“The only thing that beats Tyson, for me, is himself in terms of complacency. Lennox Lewis got complacent twice and got beaten twice.
“Complacency can creep into any boxer, so I’m a little bit worried there about what’s going to motivate him now to come back.
“Maybe an AJ fight, if he can beat Usyk, that would sell and motivate Tyson Fury.
“They’re talking about Dillian Whyte, but Tyson needs a good long break now.”

    ‘STUCK IN A CAGE’
UFC superstar Nate Diaz admits he’s eager to box before he retires from fighting.
Fan favourite Diaz, as well as his older brother Nick, are long-time training partners of boxing great Andre Ward and are considered by many to have some of the best hands in MMA.
And testing himself inside the ring is something the Ultimate Fighter season five winner wants to tick off his bucket list before his story is all said and done.
The Stockton slugger told BT Sport: “I’ve always been wanting to box. I’ve just been stuck in a cage.”
Diaz, 36, was ringside for Tyson Fury’s epic trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder last weekend – which the Gypsy King won via a stunning 11th-round knockout.
The future UFC Hall-of-Famer said of the bout: “I thought it was a good fight, an entertaining fight. I’m glad I came, it was cool to watch.”
The former lightweight title challenger was left impressed by the immense heart Fury showed to get up from two brutal knockdowns.
He said: “It was good. I saw it slowly coming, but it was good because they had a little back-and-forth in the beginning. So it’s cool.”

    WILD PARTY
Tyson Fury took his well earned celebrations to a pool party where he showed off his scars of war with Deontay Wilder.

    PUNCH IT IN
Tyson Fury landed TWICE as many punches as Deontay Wilder after an epic trilogy win in Las Vegas.

    WILD GRUDGE
Deontay Wilder refused to show Tyson Fury respect in the ring as he still alleges his rival tried to cheat against him.
That was revealed by Wilder’s trainer Malik Scott, who watched his man bravely take the Gypsy King 11 rounds before being brutally knocked out.
But afterwards, the American heavyweight chose to snub Fury’s attempt to make peace and shake hands.
Scott said Wilder still holds ill-will towards the British WBC champion, after accusing him of cheating in their rematch.
The trainer told EsNews: “Deontay, he obviously looks at Fury as a man he had serious issues with concerning some certain allegations that was out.
“And certain things that he has actually seen with his own eyes. Tonight, after they released all that energy, he still felt the way he felt.”

    THEATRE OF (FURY’S) DREAMS
Tyson Fury’s sensational fight-of-the-century contender has earned him a ‘hero’s homecoming’ scrap in the UK.
Britain’s WBC heavyweight king wowed the boxing world by TWICE climbing off the canvas to dish out a thrilling 11th-round KO of Deontay Wilder.
The WBC have ordered him to fight the winner of this month’s bout between Dillian Whyte and Otto Wallin.
And Fury’s promoter Frank Warren reckons the Manchester United fan is big enough to fill every stadium in England – putting Old Trafford on stand-by for his next title defence.
Warren said: “I would love that homecoming more than anything the British fans and everything. Can you imagine it?
“Tyson sells out any stadium in Britain, easy. The fans will come out for him.
“He deserves that hero’s homecoming now.”

    ‘CREDIT TO HIM’
Deontay Wilder ‘finished out on the battlefield’ but with ‘no bullets left’ in defeat to Tyson Fury, said David Haye.
He told iFL TV: “I know a lot of people wrote Wilder off, but he showed tremendous heart and balls to stay in there.
“True to his word, he said didn’t want this corner to throw in the towel, Breland threw the towel in to save him for this day, which was a great thing.
“It appeared to everyone’s point of view to be the right thing, and this time around, I’m pretty sure Malik Scott was given strict instructions that no matter what happened to him in that fight, no matter how much of a beating he was taking, don’t even pick up that towel to throw it.
“Because, ‘I’d rather die in the ring,’ he said that, and he proved it.
“He finished out on the battlefield with no bullets left in his gun.
“He could not have done anything more. Credit to him.”

    ‘NO SUCH THING’
Tyson Fury broke then rubbished the supposed ‘Drake curse’ after the rap superstar backed the Gypsy King against Deontay Wilder.
The Canadian artist has been an unlucky charm for several sportsmen, who have posed for pictures with him and then lost.
Even Anthony Joshua, 31, was among the victims, after uploading a photo with Drake before his shock 2019 loss to Andy Ruiz Jr, 32.
But his great rival Fury, 33, overcame the myth, by knocking out Wilder, 35, in their Las Vegas trilogy fight.
Drake had wished the WBC champion luck and some superstitious fans feared it would be a bad omen.
But not Fury, who later made light of the curse on his Instagram story.
He posted: “Curse? No such thing pal.”

    GOOD MORNING BOXING FANS
Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder both earned a minimum of £18million for their Las Vegas trilogy fight.
The pair, 33 and 35 respectively, renewed their rivalry in Sin City in the early hours of Sunday morning, with Fury emerging victorious yet again.
And both men made a pretty penny for their T-Mobile Arena tussle.
It’s understood Fury and Wilder’s disclosed purses – which will be released by the Nevada Athletic Commission later this week – were £4.4million ($6m) and £2.9m ($4m) respectively.
But the duo were already contractually guaranteed a minimum of £18m for the third showdown.
Fury, however, has taken home the lion’s share of the pot due to the 60/40 split in place.
Meanwhile, UFC star Conor McGregor has congratulated both Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder for the show they put on during their trilogy bout.
He wrote on Twitter: “Great fight that. Both warriors, both winners.
“Hard to not be impressed with Deontay there. Against the much larger man and almost got it done. Great fight. 40lb’s in weight difference is A LOT.
“Fair play both men there, very enjoyable fights they have had together. Respect.”

“Great fight. 40lb’s in weight difference is A LOT.
“Fair play both men there, very enjoyable fights they have had together. Respect.”
    NO GLOVE LOST
Tyson Fury admitted he expects Deontay Wilder to have ‘a lot of excuses’ after brilliantly beating his rival ‘fair and square’.
Fury told Behind The Gloves: “I’m sure he’ll have a lot of excuses to make.
“He always does, he’s a sore loser and he has Everlast MX on and I had Paffen Sports on, the gloves were the same.
“His trainers were in the changing rooms yet again, they checked everything, there’s no queries.
“He got beat fair and square and that’s all she wrote for Deontay Wilder. And I’ll be surprised if he ever boxes again.”

    VOODOO CHILD
Tyson Fury broke the ‘Versace robe curse’ after defeating Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas.
Boxing fans had feared the Gypsy King would lose his undefeated record after daring to wear a custom-made Versace robe.
After all, Conor McGregor lost to Floyd Mayweather after donning a similar outfit.
And Billy Joe Saunders, a close friend of Fury, also suffered the same fate when he wore a Versace robe ahead of his bout with Canelo Alvarez earlier this year.
Those results meant the clothing item carried a bit of a curse – but not for Fury.
The Brit was troubled by Wilder in their third fight, with fans claiming a slow count stopped him from losing in the fourth round.
But Fury recovered to dominate Wilder before landing an 11th round knockout to retain his WBC world title and lift the Versace curse.

    FURY RANKINGS
Tyson Fury has named his top four heavyweight rankings after his win over Deontay Wilder.
The Morecambe man said: “It was a great fight tonight, it was worthy of any trilogy in the history of the sport.
“Deontay Wilder’s a top fighter, he gave me a real run for my money. I always said I’m the best in the world and he’s second best.”
It comes after he told Barstool Sports the other fighters he would have in the top four before the clash.
He named Oleksandr Usyk third with Anthony Joshua fourth, after the Ukrainian’s win over the Brit.

    PUNCH IT IN
Tyson Fury landed TWICE as many punches as Deontay Wilder after an epic trilogy win in Las Vegas.

    POOL PARTY
Tyson Fury celebrated victory over Deontay Wilder with a wild after-party at the glitzy Hakkasan nightclub in Las Vegas.
But The Gypsy King is now in recovery mode and and making the most of his hard earned rest with a dip in the swimming pool.
His wife Paris took to Instagram to share a video of her 33-year-old husband soaking up some Sun while relaxing in a pool.
She focuses the camera on the Gypsy King as he shows off a bling WBC ring he wears as WBC heavyweight champion.
He smiles and cheers with barely a scratch on him – despite being twice dropped by Wilder.

    2 FAST 2 FURY-OUS
Beating Tyson Fury would be ‘very tough’ for Anthony Joshua, according to David Haye.
Speaking on BT Sport, the 40-year-old said: “I think from the strength of that performance, it would be very tough for AJ.
“Having watched AJ’s last performance against Usyk, the shots that Fury took down the pipe from Wilder, he was able to get back up and rough him up.
“The fact that AJ stood at range with Usyk having a boxing match… is AJ going to beat Fury in a boxing match? I don’t believe so.”

    MARK HIS WORDS
Deontay Wilder’s former coach Mark Breland has taken to Instagram after seeing The Bronze Bomber brutally knocked out by Tyson Fury.
Breland was sacked by Wilder following the last bout between the pair.
He threw in the towel from Wilder’s corner in the seventh round – saving the Bronze Bomber from a savage beating.
And now the 58-year-old former world champion has taken to social media in cryptic fashion.
In a bizarre video posted to his Instagram account, Breland can be seen shadow boxing.
And he simply captioned the post: “Great fight.”
    FURY ROAD
Tyson Fury became world boxing’s undisputed No1 when he KO’d Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas this weekend.
The Gypsy King looked to be in tip-top shape as he claimed a huge victory in the third and final battle against his American foe.
And looking back at Fury in 2017, it just goes to show how far he’s come.

    FURY CONGRATULATED BY LEWIS

    DEONT RULE ME OUT
Deontay Wilder would do ‘ten times better’ against Oleksandr Usyk than Anthony Joshua did, according to trainer Malik Scott.
Speaking to ESNews, the Bronze Bomber’s cornerman said: “Usyk and Wilder? I believe it’s a superfight. I believe stylistically Usyk would beat AJ again.
“If AJ could make the necessary adjustments stylistically with his team then I believe it would be a much more competitive fight.
“But I still would give the edge to Usyk… and I’d maybe give him the edge by stoppage – it just depends how AJ would handle the first three rounds as far as positioning.
“But with Deontay, I believe his style would do a whole lot better against Usyk’s than AJ’s style did, ten times better.
“Because I look at it like this – Usyk fought AJ and I keep telling everybody he got bruises and everything which means he was getting hit.”

    LANCS HERO
Lancashire local Tyson Fury delighted fans from his home county following victory over Deontay Wilder on Saturday night.
After a brutal eleventh round knockout, Fury grabbed a microphone and belted down it: “Lancaster, la la la, Lancashire la la la!”
Gypsy King Fury was born in Wythenshawe in south Manchester.
He now lives in Morecambe – in the City of Lancaster district of Lancashire – hence the ‘Lancaster’ and ‘Lancashire’ chants.
Manchester was also historically part of the county of Lancashire, but since 1974 comes under the county of Greater Manchester.
And he gave a nod to his Lancashire roots after a savage knockout blow.
Fury’s football-like chant followed his rendition of ‘Walking in Memphis’ to the 20,000 strong crowd at T-Mobile Arena.
The 33-year-old changed Marc Cohn’s classic to ‘Walking in Vegas’ given the location of the fight.

    LOOK OF GLOVE
Paris Fury gave her man Tyson as adorable look of love as he made his walk to the ring last night.
The Gypsy King sauntered in wearing a Spartan outfit inspired by the hit movie ‘300’.
Fury, 33, had the crowd lapping up his every move as he sang along to AC DC classic You Shook Me All Night Long.
And Paris clearly loved it too as she cracked into a huge smile and nodded her approval in an undeniable look of love.
The mum of six was caught on camera as she took her ringside seat looking stunning in a sparkly blue dress.

     DEONT DELAY
Deontay Wilder’s pre-fight ‘s***-house’ move to delay his bout with Tyson Fury backfired spectacularly, writes WILLIAM PUGH.
The Bronze Bomber was knocked spark out in the 11th round by the Gypsy King and fans were quick to poke fun at the American’s bizarre pre-fight ritual after the defeat.
Fury floored the American three times in Las Vegas – with the third and final time bringing their long-running rivalry to a close as the ref waved the fight off.
Wilder, 35, was well in the contest in the early stages and even had Fury on the deck himself twice in the fourth round before the Alabama ace ran out of steam.
It was arguably Wilder’s best performance in the trilogy but some post-fight focus was on his antics in the dressing room beforehand.
As challenger, Wilder had to enter the ring first.
But live footage showed him dawdling in the dressing room surrounded by his entourage.
Wilder was seen standing with his team in a silent circle as someone appeared to serenade or preach to the Bronze Bomber who had his head bowed.
    WILD CLAIMS
Deontay Wilder’s trainer Malik Scott has revealed that the Bronze Bomber broke his hand during last night’s defeat to Tyson Fury.
The American, 35, floored the Gypsy King twice in the fourth round, only to later be knocked out in the penultimate stanza of an instant classic.
Speaking to ESNews after the bout, cornerman Scott revealed that Wilder had come out of the fight with a number of injuries.
He said: “I took him up into his room, he’s seen a doctor afterwards.
“Everything’s cool… he busted his lip, he broke his hand, broke his finger, knuckle, something like that.
    “But life goes on.”

    THE ROCK SAYS
Tyson Fury’s stunning knockout victory over Deontay Wilder has been hailed as one of the greatest nights in heavyweight boxing.
And one of the most famous men on the planet was left open-mouthed at the action unfolding in front of him.
WWE legend and movie star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson dubbed the trilogy bout as ‘one of the greatest’ he had ever seen.
He tweeted: “That was one of the greatest fights I’ve ever seen.
“Congrats to my friend & champion @Tyson_Fury. What a beautiful & resilient performance.
“What a “on the shield” heart @BronzeBomber has. I was inspired tonight by both men.”

The rollercoaster battle saw Wilder get knocked down in the third round of their trilogy bout at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena.
But he responded by sending Fury to the deck twice in the fourth – only for the champ to clamber back to his feet before the ten-count.
Two huge shots from Wilder sent his opponent to the floor in quick succession but Fury was upright by the count of eight.
However, UFC legend Daniel Cormier claimed that referee Russell Mora’s count was ‘crazy slow’.
And several more people took to social media to claim that the fight had been fixed.
One tweeted: “Tyson Slow Count Fury. Fixed fight.”

Another wrote: “The ref didn’t even count the second knockdown! He got to 6!!!!!!! Boxing is fixed.”
While a staunch fan of the defeated American said: “@BronzeBomber really wasnt going up against just @Tyson_Fury, he dead a** just fought the WHOLE BOXING COMMISSION!! He fought fury AGAIN with TAMPERED GLOVES and a REFEREE THAT LITERALLY GAVE FURY 16 SECONDS TO GET OFF THE CANVAS! SMH KEEP UR HEAD UP WILDER! U A WARRIOR!!!”
UFC superstar Dustin Poirier tweeted: “That was a slow count … we gotta fight!”
While journalist Steven Loung wrote: “Tremendous heart from Wilder. That second knockdown count was real slow. This fight probably should be over.”
Boxing guidelines state the ref should stop the count if a fighter moves away from his neutral corner.
After scoring his first knockdown, Wilder was told to go to a neutral corner but instead headed to his own – something that could have delayed the count.
After climbing to his feet to beat the count, Fury was spent sprawling back to the mat with seconds of the round remaining.
But his resilience was on display however, beating Mora’s count for the second time to ensure the fight would go on.
And the Brit recovered from those early setbacks to knock out his American rival with a brutal right-hand deep in the 11th round.
