      CBS presenter Balague caught up with the Man of the Match Bellingham after Real Madrid beat Napoli.
      The 20-year-old superstar led his side to a 3-2 victory after making one assist and scoring a goal for the Los Blancos.
      In the post-match interview, Balague told Bellingham his style of play reflected the football legends who were currently presenting on CBS, Thierry Henry and Jamie Carragher.
      But he left out any reference to the other pundit back in the studio – former England star Micah Richards.

      Balague said: “When you were defending at times you look like Jamie Carragher.
      “When you were attacking at some times you looked like Thierry Henry.
      But quick as a flash Bellingham responded by refering to the TV pundit ignored by Balague.
      Bellingham said: “Not Micah no?”

      Richards in the CBS studio with Henry and Carrragher was over the moon with Bellingham’s response.
      The former Manchester City ace even suggested CBS Sports to rename the show – in tribute to his nickname Big Meeks.
      Richards said: “Let’s call this the Meeks show. Everyone loves me. Everyone is asking for me.”
      He then went on to give his prediction of who this year’s Balloon d’Or winner should be.
      Bellingham is one of 30 nominees up for the prestigious French football award – where the winner will be announced on October 30th.
      Richards continued: “Jude where are you? I love you too. You’re absolutely fantastic. Balloon d’Or is coming your way.”
      However, the Real Madrid star is up against seven-time winner Lionel Messi who has been reported as the favourite to win. More

      Yesterday’s coverage saw the CBS crew cover Newcastle’s trip to AC Milan and Manchester City’s win over Red Star Belgrade.
      And fans online were in stitches when Richards trolled co-host Carrgher, saying: “Can I just make a reference?
      “We’ve been on air for five hours and we haven’t actually referenced that you should be doing Thursday nights.”

      Both Abdo and Henry seemed a bit shocked that Richards would go there but Carragher came back and said: “I’ll do Thursdays if you do Wednesdays.”
      But of course the whole thing was taken in good nature with the four laughing as they exchanged their typical banter.
      Richards was referencing the fact that Liverpool failed to qualify for the Champions League last year for the first time since the 2015-16 season.
      The Merseyside club finished fifth on 67 points, four points behind Newcastle in fourth.

      It was the first time Liverpool have finished outside the top four while Klopp has been in charge for a full season.
      The club’s Europa League campaign will kick off tomorrow when the Reds take on Austrian side LASK.
      Fans on Twitter found Richards’ burn of Carragher hilarious, with one saying “Big Meeks with the burn!”, alongside a laughing emoji
      Another fan said: “Big Meeks needs his mate @alanshearer on board this season, get @Carra23 on the Thursday night shift.”
      While a third said: “Such a shame we can’t watch this show in the UK.”
      The CBS team will be back tonight as they cover Real Madrid vs unlikely Bundesliga qualifiers Union Berlin and Bayern Munich vs Manchester United. More

      She is best known for hosting American channel CBS’ coverage of the Champions League – where she is joined by ex-players Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards.
      The show has received widespread praise for its hilariously relaxed, jovial atmosphere.
      And as the 2023/24 edition of Europe’s elite competition kicked off on Tuesday evening, the four CBS regulars were present in the studio.
      Abdo introduced Henry as a Champions League winner with Barcelona, before offering the same courtesy for Liverpool hero Carragher.

      She then turned to Richards, who she often jokingly rips into, adding: “The one and only Big Meeks, Micah Richards, also in the house.
      “Good to be back as a team.”

It’s given him time to consider playing one last tournament.For the first time since 2006, England’s Nick Faldo wasn’t in the booth this past season as the lead golf analyst for CBS.He was on the range — and not just the driving range. A six-time major champion from 1987 through 1996, he was at his home in Montana.Faldo, 66, the only four-time winner of the BMW PGA Championship, which begins Thursday at the Wentworth Club in Surrey, England, discussed recently those victories and the game that has meant so much to him.The following conversation has been edited and condensed.Do you miss your job at CBS?Yes and no. I loved being with the guys, but I had enough of being out there every week. They’ve just done 23 tournaments this season, and I couldn’t do that anymore. I’ve been flying since I was 19, when I went on tour. I’ve got plenty to do. [Golf course] design work is going very well. It’s just nice to be chilling and doing your own thing each day.Are you paying attention to the tour?Not as much. I’ve rarely watched it on TV. I’ve watched it maybe through highlights on social media. I’m more interested in the Ryder Cup because I’m going. Back in my day, [former Europe captain] Tony Jacklin said, “You six, you’re playing five matches. You’re doing the heavy lifting.” We said, “Fine.”So, are you going as far as to say that Europe is going to win?Yeah, I would. We should.Has Team Europe’s captain, Luke Donald, picked your brain at all?Yeah. I bumped into him at the [British] Open. A couple of little ideas I had, mainly for practice. I won’t say what.Of your four victories at Wentworth, do any one of them stand out?Well, I really enjoyed the one at Royal St. George’s [in 1980] because we played that in May. And that golf course in May, if you get just a little bit of rain on the links, is perfect. That week, all I practiced were one, two, and three irons. It paid off. I remember hitting one iron into 15, that tiny little green. It was one of the key shots on the way to winning. That turf was so gorgeous to hit off.What kind of player does the Wentworth course suit?A pretty accurate one. There are trees literally left and right. On the putting green, I was holing like 40-footers, thinking, “Oh, this is good.” I won about 10,000 pounds. How about that? It was the PGA. It was big. I loved it.Are you playing any golf these days?Yeah, I’ve got a nice club here and a really nice range, a [Tom] Weiskopf course. I still like to pop up there and belt balls.What do you get out of it?Well, that’s the great thing about our game. I go up there, and I’ve got different spots on downslopes and sideslopes and I whack away. I wear myself out for an hour and a half, and I still learn something. And I think I’ve still got it. Isn’t that great? That’s 50 plus years later. I’d love to play one more [tournament]. I want to get myself fit and strong.Where?I don’t know yet. I want to get Fanny [Sunesson, his former caddie] on the bag.Are you serious about this?Yeah. I want to play something. And the big word is, Can I enjoy it? That’s the only goal.       CHAMPIONS LEAGUE nights are always a blockbuster occasion – on both sides of the pond.And as the new season gets underway, viewers in the UK are preparing for new-look coverage with Laura Woods fronting TNT Sports.

      Over in America, meanwhile, CBS have the broadcast rights with former Sky Sports star Kate Abdo in the presenter’s hotseat.
      But who are the key players-turned-pundits providing all the expert analysis – and how much are they worth?
      TNT SPORTS
      Well, TNT have retained many of the pundits who worked for BT Sport last season as Manchester City were crowned Kings of Europe.
      And that means the three main stars are Rio Ferdinand, Joe Cole and Peter Crouch – with Owen Hargreaves, Steve McManaman, Joleon Lescott, Michael Owen and Paul Scholes among those also used.

      Ferdinand enjoyed the most successful career on the pitch of the flagship trio, collecting ten major honours with Manchester United including six Premier League crowns – plus the Intertoto Cup with West Ham.
      Now the retired centre-back combines his punditry work with various other ventures including his #5 Magazine, podcast and shop, White Chalk Music record label, Rio Ferdinand Foundation, the DeliveryApp tech platform and his Rosso restaurant.
      Reports online suggest Ferdinand’s wealth stands at around £58million.
      Cole was Ferdinand’s Hammers team-mate for that Intertoto Cup win but went to Chelsea, where he won six trophies as the Blues lost the 2008 Champions League final to United.

      Like his TNT co-star, the former playmaker has his own podcast – The Joe Cole Cast – and the footballer is valued at around £35m.
      Crouch’s only major honour was the 2006 FA Cup during his stint at Liverpool, one of 11 clubs he represented during his 21-year career.
      He also scored an impressive 22 goals in 42 England caps before launching his own career in TV with BT, a BBC show and an appearance on The Masked Dancer.
      Elsewhere, the 6ft 7ins funnyman has his own hugely-successful and hilarious podcast which has led to a couple of live arena shows.

      Married to model Abbey Clancy, they have appeared in Paddy Power adverts together and have four kids.
      Crouch is said to be worth approximately £25m thanks to his lucrative football career and subsequent deals.
      That totals £118m for Ferdinand, Cole and Crouch combined.

      CBS’ coverage has proved mightily popular over recent seasons since acquiring the rights in the US from the 2020-21 campaign.
      Produced in Stockley Park, London, by IMG, the three regulars in the studio with Abdo are 2009 Champions League winner Thierry Henry, 2005 Champions League winner Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards, who managed five appearances in the Champions League.
      The quartet have brilliant chemistry on air and regularly take the mick out of Richards for his lack of a winner’s medal.
      Peter Schmeichel, Alex Scott and Freddie Ljungberg have also appeared on the Sports Golazo Champions League show.
      Henry’s sensational playing career saw him crowned a Premier League, FA Cup, LaLiga, Cope del Rey, Champions League, Club World Cup, Super Cup, Euros and World Cup winner.
      He also had two podium finishes in the Ballon d’Or before retiring in 2014, stepping into punditry and coaching with Belgium, Monaco and Montreal Impact.

      Henry has made some TV appearances, is a Unicef ambassador and has various commercial deals with Renault and Pepsi – with all of that taking his net worth to just north of £100m.
      Carragher spent his entire career with boyhood club Liverpool, racking up 737 appearances for the Reds and winning seven major honours including that famous 2005 Champions League, beating AC Milan on penalties.
      The two-time player of the year – second on the all-time list for own goals – also earned 38 England caps.
      Now he spends most weekends working as a pundit and co-commentator for Sky Sports, striking up a fantastic partnership with ex-rival Gary Neville, and is on CBS for the European nights.
      Elsewhere, Carragher has a newspaper column and helped launch a range of affordable e-bikes with fellow Liverpudlian Tony Bellew.
      His net worth is estimated now at around £16m.
      Richards may not have the football pedigree of his fellow pundits Henry and Carragher, but he is sure doing a whole load of TV work.
      The Manchester City ambassador combines his CBS appearances with providing analysis – and lots of laughs – for Sky Sports and the BBC.

      According to reports in France, Julian Nagelsmann is the front runner to take the PSG hotseat.
      And L’Equipe report the young German manager wants Henry as his assistant next season – despite never having worked with him.
      Henry has not coached since departing as Belgium’s assistant boss following the World Cup.
      He has instead spent his time working as a pundit on French television as well as working with the CBS team for Champions League coverage.

      With L’Equipe reporting that talks between PSG and Nagelsmann are at an advanced stage, fans are gutted that the CBS punditry team is set to be broken up.
      An Arsenal fan tweeted: “THIERRY NOOOO WE’RE FINALLY BACK IN THE UCL DON’T YOU DARE LEAVE CBS”
      Another responded to the L’Equipe reports saying: “That means no more Thierry at CBS 😩”

      Fans have loved the laid back approach of CBS’ coverage this season which has given Abdo, Carragher, Henry and Richards the space to express themselves on air.
      Ahead of Inter and AC’s Milan derby semi-final second leg, the pundits were left in stitches after a gaff from Abdo saw her say she was reporting for Fox instead of CBS.
      Henry jokingly walked away as Abdo said: “I’m about to get fired.”
      Fans also loved the moment earlier this season when Carragher had to bring Abdo a bottle of water when she fluffed her lines for a preview of a Champions League game.
      Perhaps the highlight of the season came when Carragher left Milan’s Leao baffled with his Italian pronunciation – and Richards in stitches.
      Some fans have already begun talk online about Henry’s CBS replacement, with one suggesting the recently retired Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the only man that can fill Henry’s boots.

      The trio were all on punditry duty for their respective outlets in yesterday’s Champions League semi-final between AC and Inter Milan.
      Two early goals from the Nerazzurri saw them secure a 2-0 advantage in the first leg.
      It could and should have been more as they ended up having 16 shots at goal in a dominant performance.
      But Inter felt they were wrongly denied a penalty in the first half when Lautaro Martinez went down following contact from Simon Kjaer.

      The referee initially blew for a spot-kick and even proceeded to book the Dane.
      But VAR advised him to check a replay, and after consulting the pitch-side monitor he reversed his decision.
      Footage suggested there had been some contact on Martinez, albeit he had made the most of it.
      BT Sport duo Ferdinand and Gerrard were livid at the ref’s decision to overturn the penalty.

      But Carragher was adamant that, especially after watching the replay, it was the right call.
      And he left fellow CBS pundits Thierry Henry and Micah Richards stunned with his comments.
      Carragher said: “I think anyone out there who is watching the replay and seeing what VAR do and still believe that is a penalty, they must be a clown.”
      When shown a tweet revealing Gerrard’s thoughts, Carragher continued: “He was an attacking player, wasn’t he?
      “He was liable a little bit himself under a little bit of contact — always contact, never a dive. I understand where he is coming from.
      “It’s just when players in my position who are defenders, English defenders who are commentating on the game…
      “I understand attackers thinking it was a penalty if you (Henry) did, and Steve was an attacker. Maybe he felt there was a little bit of contact.

      “But as a defender we have to stick together, don’t we, and I just felt people were getting a little bit carried away.”
      Pal Richards then chirped: “Name names!”
      To which Carragher replied: “Rio Ferdinand! I’m happy to call him a clown.”
      But Ferdinand doubled down as he tweeted: “Still think it’s a penalty…”
      Ferdinand and Carragher famously clashed on Twitter in October after the latter was snubbed pitch-side by ex-Man Utd striker Cristiano Ronaldo.
      Responding to Ferdinand joking he was upset, Carragher said: “No I’m delighted it went viral. 
      “Rio I know how it works, he’s your mate and you/Evra and the rest are on the group Whatsap and he asks you to come out and defend him.

      And it’s fair to say Richards didn’t have much to go on.
      Richards said: “Don’t ask me about the game because I don’t know what it’s going to be.

      At that point Carragher jumped in and said: “Can I just interrupt for one second. Give us your pad…
      “You know when he said that he’s done all of his analysis, can you just zoom in please.”
      At that point he held aloft the pad he had snatched from in front of Richards and held it up for the camera.
