Alexander-Arnold, 25, slammed on the brakes and swerved before hitting the BMW X5.
The shaken Liverpool star was then seen getting out and speaking to the other driver.
Both miraculously escaped unharmed in the crash on a wet country lane near Knutsford, Cheshire.
It came as Storm Babet caused chaos around the country, leaving three people dead.

A source said: “The wind was so powerful it suddenly ripped up the pylon. It was really terrifying. It’s a miracle nobody was hurt. Someone could have easily been killed.
“What are the chances of that happening? Alexander-Arnold must feel like he’s cheated death.
“A few seconds later and it could have gone through his windscreen. It’s absolutely treacherous out there.”
Police were called to the crash scene yesterday morning and the electricity was turned off.

Photos show Alexander-Arnold standing by his car close to the pylon which is splayed across the road with its wires hanging out.
The front of his black Range Rover was damaged while the white BMW had veered into a hedge and lost a headlight.
It is believed Alexander-Arnold, who lives nearby, later attended training ahead of today’s lunchtime clash against Everton at Anfield.
The accident came days after he partied at a London nightclub with England teammates including Jude Bellingham and Jack Grealish, following the Three Lions’ qualification for next summer’s Euros.
Cheshire Police said yesterday: “At 10.34am this morning we were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a black Range Rover and a BMW.
“An electricity pole had fallen into the road, causing the accident.
“Nobody was injured and everything was cleared by 1.05pm.
“We called the energy company and had the electricity turned off.”
Alexander-Arnold’s agent has been contacted for comment.

Premier League stars’ luxury cars including Ferrari found in shipping containers on the way to Dubai after being stolen

TWO Premier League stars have had their flash luxury cars returned to them after the vehicles were found in shipping containers headed for Dubai. The supercars recovered by the Essex Police’s Stolen Vehicle Intelligence Unit were a Ferrari and a Range Rover.

So far this year, the force’s team has recovered 517 cars or parts of vehicles with a combined value of more than £16million.
The two players, who have not been identified but have more than 100 international caps between them, had their cars stolen in neighbouring counties.
The SVIU’s PC Paul Gerrish, PC Phil Pentelow and analyst Hannah Gerrish, tracked down the vehicles to shipping containers which were due to travel to Dubai from London Gateway Port in Thurrock.
As yet, no arrests have been made in connection to the vehicle thefts.
    Read More on Stolen Cars
It’s thought once a car is stolen, thieves may look to quickly sell it on, even for a price well below its market value, or strip it for parts or even ship the whole vehicle  to areas such as the Middle East or Africa, where it can be sold for two or three times its cost in the UK.
The thieves or handlers of the stolen vehicles may obtain false or cloned identities before selling it on to an unsuspecting member of the public in the UK or even distribute them to other criminals.
Essex Police launched Operation Ignition this summer which saw the SVIU, Roads Policing and investigators work together to break up the criminal gangs behind the thefts.
The SVIU has managed to return vehicles to hundreds of victims from family saloons to supercars.
    Most read in Football
PC Gerrish said: “Every stolen car is important to us and we work as hard as we can to get them back to their owners.
“When you phone someone up and tell them we’ve got their car with their kids’ car seats and the pushchair in the back, or other personal items, it’s hugely satisfying.
“We are creating a hostile environment for car thieves. We know what to look for and we know how and where they operate.”
One of the Premier League footballers went to the SVIU base to be reunited with his car and praised the team’s work.
PC Pentelow said: “He was genuinely thankful and taken aback by the lengths we had gone to.
“His car was clearly very dear to him, and he was very impressed with the service he’d had from the police.
“Even though he plays for one of my team’s biggest rivals, he was a nice guy and down-to-earth. It was good to help him.”
The SVIU team work with manufacturers including Jaguar Land Rover, Ford, BMW and Mercedes-Benz to improve vehicle security.
The team recommends drivers learn about their car’s vulnerabilities by watching videos online and check the website Secured by Design to find recommended safety devices for your car and think about getting a Disklok.
However, they say the biggest vulnerability is people leaving their vehicles unlocked.
PC Pentelow said: “Double lock it and check it. We still see CCTV where people’s cars aren’t locked.”
In July this year, the Essex Police’s SVIU team recovered cars and car parts worth £1m, in one of their most successful weeks ever.
The unit recovered high-end cars including a Rolls-Royce, a Bentley Bentayga, alongside several Range Rovers and BMWs.
    Read More on The Sun
In recent months they have located and recovered a range of Ferraris and Aston Martins.
A Rolls-Royce Cullinan recovered during recent operations was worth more than £360,000 alone.

Various reasons have been touted behind his sudden sacking by Bayern, such as a lack of player development and “negative sporting development”.
Reports suggest the 35-year-old and Wurzenberger’s affair was also among the causes.
That is because it created distrust in the dressing room at the Allianz Arena as she was working for one of Germany’s biggest publications.
That is despite the fact the top newspaper axed her from their Bayern coverage last year to avoid a conflict of interest.

But Bild confirmed the 30-year-old will leave her position and assume a role at BMW on April 1.
Wurzenberger will become the car manufacturers’ “spokeswoman for the supplier network and sustainability”.
Nagelsmann found out he was dismissed by Bayern during a skiing trip with his girlfriend.
He was promptly replaced by former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel.

Now the former RB Leipzig boss has been linked with a move to Tottenham to replace Antonio Conte, who was recently dismissed as well.
Reports also suggest the ex-Hoffenheim head coach is open to talks with Spurs.
But the North Londoners are in no hurry to find Conte’s replacement, which is why they replaced him with his assistant Cristian Stellini until the end of the season.
Tottenham are also keeping tabs on other free agents, such as Luis Enrique and former manager Mauricio Pochettino. More

Gianluca Vialli’s incredible generosity revealed when he and Zola took Chelsea staffer for dinner – and gave him a BMW

The ex-forward has been hailed by his friends and former team-mates, who all gave emotional tributes.
Graeme Souness, who played with Vialli at Sampdoria, called his close pal a “gorgeous soul”.
Journalist and presenter Matt Lorenzo followed this up with an amazing story on how Vialli and Zola treated a Chelsea employee.
Lorenzo tweeted: “Vialli and Zola, two gentlemen of the game, decided to show their gratitude to Gary Staker, the Chelsea liaison officer who is half Italian.

“They took him for a meal at an expensive restaurant but asked him to give them a lift, asking a waiter to park his car.
“After the meal, Staker was upset because to find his Ford was nowhere to be seen.
“Until he realised the brand new BMW parked outside was his, a gift from Vialli and his friend. RIP Gianluca.”
Vialli won 13 major trophies during his time as a player – including Serie A, the Champions League, the FA Cup and League Cup.

As a manager, he guided Chelsea to FA Cup, League Cup and Charity Shield glory.
Vialli was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2017 but sadly lost his battle.
Souness, 69, was a team-mate of his at Sampdoria in the 1980s and was visibly devastated by the news.
Speaking to Sky Sports just moments after Vialli’s death was confirmed, the Scot said: “Sorry, I’ve only had the news ten minutes ago and I can’t tell you how good a guy he was.
“Forget football for a minute, he was just a gorgeous soul. He was a truly nice human being.
“I went to Italy when I was 31-years-old. He was 20 and he was just fabulous to be around.

“Such a fun loving guy, he was full of mischief. He was such a warm individual and a fabulous player.
“But I don’t want to talk about his footballing, I want to talk about him as a human being.
“Because I don’t remember when I hear his name, and I’m going to hear a lot of his name, correctly so and people paying plaudits to him, magnificent things about his playing ability… yeah – but what a human being – above all that, what a human being.
“And my condolences go to his family and his wife and they’ve been blessed that their paths crossed. The kids were blessed they had a dad like that, his wife was blessed to have a man like that.”
Souness went on to add: “I’m no doctor really but when I looked at him I thought I saw a man who was still in the fight when he was here during the Euros and they managed to win it.
“I think it’s so typical of him that he kept it very private, very personal and he took it on as I’d expect him to take it on.
