Zlatan Ibrahimovic compared to a ‘Sacha Baron Cohen character’ as he stars in ‘cringe’ video announcing shock new role

ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC was mocked by football fans after starring in a “cringe” video.

Ibrahimovic announced his retirement with an emotional speech at the San Siro in June after a stunning 24-year career that saw him playing at elite level until the age of 41 for AC Milan.

The legendary striker has since taken up a post as an advisor for Milan’s management and ownership but he has also found some other side hustles.

The Swedish great revealed he will be the president of the 2024 Kings World Cup, a seven-a-side football tournament featuring teams from the Kings League and the Americas Kings League.

The 42-year-old made his announcement in his typical brash manner claiming he’s the “best” and football misses him more than he does.

Ibrahimovic says: “I have won more than 30 titles. I have scored more than 500 goals.

“And there is no one who doesn’t know my name. I don’t miss football, football misses me.

“I’m the best. I’m the king of kings. Welcome to my World Cup.”

However, that overconfident clip failed to inspire fans who insist that although Ibrahimovic is among the best he never surpassed other legends.

In fact, some supporters found the clip so cringey that they compared the ex-Manchester United star to a “Sacha Baron Cohen character”.
