Ronaldo, 47, picked his ultimate Premier League for Paddy Power with some legends of the game making the cut.

In particular, the former Real Madrid and Inter Milan star seems to be a fan of Manchester United.

He selected Peter Schmeichel between the sticks, Gary Neville for right back, David Beckham for right wing with Ryan Giggs in left wing and Cristiano Ronaldo up front.

Other football legends to make the line-up were Arsenal’s Sol Campbell, Patrick Viera and Thierry Henry.

Alongside them were Chelsea stars John Terry, Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard.

It meant the entire XI was made up of players from just three teams – who between them haven’t won a league title since 2017.

Fans were not happy about the World Cup winner’s selection after he snubbed any Liverpool or Manchester City’s players getting a spot.

One fan said: “No stevie g …..Beckham has no right to be on the team.”

Ronaldo – considered by many to be the greatest to ever play the game – laced up his boots and turned out for Phoenix FC, bottom of the NWL Division 8 in Essex last weekend.
