United had no less than three major reports logged during the undated time frame, with a carpenter managing to drill through his own thumb while fitting a door on a bar at Old Trafford.

Another incident saw an employee taken to hospital with vomiting after suffering from smoke inhalation when protesting fans lit flares and smoke bombs.

Meanwhile, a chef received an electric shock from a faulty light switch which was missing a button cap, sparking an unfruitful internal investigation.

The report read: “He burnt the end of his finger and felt the current travel up his arm and across his chest.
