I’m a Man Utd fan but I’m praying Arsenal beat us at Old Trafford – every true supporter would agree

MANCHESTER UNITED fan and talkSPORT presenter Andy Goldstein has revealed why he wants Arsenal to beat the Red Devils next month.

The outcome of the match could have a huge impact on the title race, with Mikel Arteta’s side currently battling Manchester City and Liverpool for the top spot.

However, Goldstein has admitted that he would be happy for his team to lose.

Speaking on talkSPORT drive, he revealed: “One of the games that Arsenal have got in their run-in, the penultimate game, is away at Manchester United.

“As a United fan, I hope we lose. Because I don’t want City or Liverpool winning the title.”

Co-host Gabby Agbonlahor went on to say: “But what about that rivalry with Arsenal all them years ago?”

But Goldstein responded: “Don’t care. If Liverpool win the title, I’ll never hear the end of it because Liverpool win the title. Klopp’s last year, never hear the end of it, and they also equal United’s 20 league titles.”

Ex-Aston Villa star Agbonlahor seemingly agreed, adding: “I think as well, Man City aren’t the one people want as it will be four in a row for the first time.”

Goldstein went on to insist that every Man Utd fan will share the same view.

He continued: “Yeah, I don’t want that. We have done three in a row twice but no one has ever done four.

“There is not one United fan that would want to beat Arsenal so Liverpool and City win [the Premier League].”

Man Utd’s top targets for the transfer window

Man Utd currently sit sixth in the league table, 11 points adrift of the top four.

They also sit nine points behind fifth-placed Tottenham.
