But now he takes his biggest step up yet as he fights James Flint for a Central Area title.

Hatton, 23, has improved a lot since his first fight, and he’ll be hopeful a win against Flint can propel him onto further title fights in the next 12 months.

But Flint is fit and firing ahead of their clash.

“It’s a great fight for both of us. If I beat him, it opens up many doors and I can really push on,” he said.

“Likewise for him, if he beats me. I’m not a sore loser. I’ll shake his hand, and it can open up bigger doors for him as well. It’s one of those fights.”
