After believing he had rescued a point for Spurs, the 25-year-old took off his shirt and showed off his back tattoo while celebrating.

“Neymar is an outstanding player but it’s weird, he’s still playing.

“I mean if it was like people who have retired I would get it, but Neymar’s his team-mate.”

And Richards did not stop there, claiming: “It’s like me getting a tattoo of Daniel Sturridge.

“I mean I like him, I love him, he’s a quality player but I’m not going to get a tattoo of him.”

Speaking to GQ Sports about the tattoo in February, Richarlison explained: “Ronaldo was my hero when I first started football.

“Neymar is of my generation, but a few years ahead of me. I wanted to play like him and have the same hair.

“And then I added myself, because I’m inspired by myself too.”
