I won everything playing under Pep Guardiola.. I was in Fast and Furious movie after retiring and now I teach ZUMBA

BARCELONA hero Jose Manuel Pinto won everything in football but has now gone down a completely different path after his retirement.

Pinto spent six years at Barca where he played as Victor Valdes’ No2 and retired in 2014 after a raft of trophies, such as the Treble in 2009 under current Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

The 47-year-old is no longer part of football as he has crossed over to his other passion, which is music.

The Spaniard first founded his own record label called, Wahin Makinacioes in 2000, but didn’t release any music himself until six years later.

Following his retirement, Pinto used some of his career earnings from football to build himself a music studio in his hometown of El Puerto de Santa Maria in south-west Spain.

The former keeper adopted the moniker ‘Wahin’ and has had two of his songs featured on the soundtracks of Hollywood blockbusters.

‘Papi Papi’ was on Ride Along 2, a comedy with Ice Cube and Kevin Hart which made $125million (£97m) at the box office.

Then in 2017, La Habana was featured in a key scene of The Fate of the Furious, starring Vin Diesel, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Jason Statham, which made more than $1billion (£779m) worldwide.

Pinto’s track gained such mass appeal off the back of the film that it reached the top 10 of the Billboard charts and sold throughout Latin America.

The former Barcelona ace has experienced such success that he also won an Andalusian – which is a Latin Grammy – for his work as an engineer on an album by Spanish popstar Nina Pastori.

And now the former Real Betis and Celta Vigo ace has explored another aspect of his musical passion.

The former shot-stopper now teaches Zumba classes to enthusiastic and well-choreographed students.

This doesn’t come as a surprise as he has proven to be well-versed when it comes to rhythm.

That is because Pinto was the producer of the Cirque du Soleil show on his best mate from Barcelona Lionel Messi.
