Chelsea in injury crisis as Mudryk becomes NINTH player out after suffering KO in training ahead of Luton clash


CHELSEA have been hit with an injury crisis with Mykhailo Mudryk becoming the club’s NINTH player in the treatment room.

The winger will not be available when the Blues host Luton on Friday night.

Mudryk came on as a substitute in Sunday’s 3-1 loss to West Ham but has since picked up a knock in training.

He has started rehabilitation and undergone assessments.

It is not known what injury Mudryk has suffered or how long he will be out for.

Chelsea’s injury list is now nine players long, making Mauricio Pochettino’s search for a first win in charge even harder.

Carney Chukwuemeka netted the Blues’ goal against West Ham and has undergone knee surgery after being subbed off hurt.

Reports suggest that the 19-year-old midfielder could be out for at least six weeks.

Meanwhile, captain Reece James is also sidelined after suffering a hamstring strain that will keep him sidelined for a few weeks.

New signing Christopher Nkunku will have to wait until Christmas for his debut due to a knee issue.
