Cheeky football fans all make same joke as Ange Postescoglou signs off at Celtic with Treble… before joining Tottenham

Postecoglu has been a smash hit in Glasgow since joining the Hoops two years ago.

The Australian coach has won back-to-back titles, as well as two Scottish League Cups.

And Saturday’s 3-1 win over Inverness in the Scottish Cup final saw ‘Big Ange’ wrap up a trio of trophies this season.

The game is set to be Postecoglu’s last as Celtic boss, with Spurs expected to make an official approach next week.

SunSport can also reveal Daniel Levy is ready to sweeten the move by paying up to £30million for Hoops striker Kyogo Furuhashi.

However, football fans have been unable to resist drawing parallels between Postecoglu’s Celtic success and Tottenham’s lack of trophies over the past 15 years.

Spurs’ last piece of silverware came in the 2008 Carabao Cup final after an extra-time win over Chelsea.

And Postecoglu, who has also won league titles in Australia and Japan, could have his work cut out with the trophy-shy north Londoners.

Cheeky fans have certainly been twisting the knife, with many claiming Postecoglu looked “miserable” after Celtic’s Treble by knowing he’s off to serial runners-up Spurs.

One said: “Postecoglu looks like a man who knows he won’t get near another trophy.”

Another declared: “Postecoglu looks like a man who’s on the way to Spurs, looks miserable.”

One noted: “Congratulations on winning your final-ever trophy!”

Another joked: “Postecoglu has won more trophies today (1 day) than Tottenham have in 15 years (5578 days).”

One laughed: “Now that Big Ange has gotten all that winning out of his system, it’s time to come to Tottenham big man.”

Another added: “Ange looking conflicted about celebrating this treble and then going to Tottenham where he’ll never win anything again.”
