Arsenal fans convinced Xhaka took secret dig at Tottenham during star’s live TV interview after win over Chelsea

ARSENAL fans have been left convinced Granit Xhaka took a subtle dig at rivals Tottenham in his post-match interview.

The midfielder was speaking after the Gunner’s comfortable victory over Chelsea that took them back to the top of the table.

Three goals in 16 first-half minutes saw Arsenal end their game winless run of four games and breathe new life into their title pursuit.

Xhaka was put up for the post-match interviews and joined Sky Sports pundits Cesc Fabregas, Patrick Vieira and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink to reflect on the game.

But fans quickly became distracted by the clothing the midfielder was wearing.

The Switzerland international donned an Arsenal club jacket that bore the initials “TGB”.

It did not take much for Gunners supporters to become convinced this was a reference to one of their favourite songs.

One said: “Granit Xhaka going live on air to speak to Sky Sports with “TGB” [Tottenham Get Battered] on his tracksuit is the sort of pettiness we can all get behind.”

Another said: “Xhaka rocking a Tottenham Get Battered top. Proper s***housery from Xhaka! Tottenham Get Battered everywhere they gooo!”

Another fan added: “When I saw the post match interviews, I didn’t think of it but this is amazing.”

And one more Arsenal fan said: “Lot of love for Granit after having Tottenham get battered on his jacket for the interview.”

Although fans were having fun with their theory, it is believed Xhaka borrowed the coat from club nutritionist Tom Geeson-Brown, which would be a more likely explanation for the initials.

Martin Odegaard scored twice and Gabriel Jesus got the other as Frank Lampard’s struggling Chelsea were swept away.

Noni Madueke netted his first goal for the Blues in the second-half but it proved to be just a consolation.
