The Hammers could turn their attention back to Jesse Lingard Credit: Getty Talks were held with Villarreal about a potential £35m move for Dutch winger Danjuma, but agreeing personal terms have proven to be a sticking point.
The Spanish side are open to selling to raise funds for improvements to their squad, but West Ham boss David Moyes now has eyes elsewhere after complications with Danjuma.
Moyes is a big fan of Lingard – who was released by Manchester United this summer – after his four-month loan spell from January 2021.
Scoring nine goals in 16 games, Moyes hopes the 29-year-old’s return to the London Stadium could increase their goal threat up top.
