MIDDLESBROUGH have demanded police action against the father and son they blame for potentially blowing their play-off qualification hopes.
A child ran onto the pitch at the Riverside Stadium during stoppage time in Saturday’s game versus Stoke, causing a delay in play.
When the match restarted, Stoke’s Nick Powell scored in the 94th minute.
And in a remarkable statement, Boro have urged Cleveland Police to take action.
The club said in an official statement that the pitch invasion was: “trivialising the importance of the game to our fans, town, players and management”.
