MANCHESTER UNITED are leading the race to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic after the Lazio star’s agent confirmed Old Trafford is his preferred destination.
The Red Devils are long-term admirers of the Serbian midfielder, who could be available this summer as he refuses to sign a new deal in Rome.
Milinkovic-Savic is tied down at the Stadio Olimpico until 2024, but Lazio could cash in on him in the upcoming transfer window.
It was reported back in March that United had revived their interest in the 27-year-old.
They identified the player as a possible replacement for Paul Pogba, who will depart the Theatre of Dreams as a free agent at the end of the season.
Paris Saint-Germain are also in the running to prise Milinkovic-Savic away from Italy.
