But now United chiefs are thought to be spreading the message Dalot is staying.
Instead it’s out-and-out defender AWB who no longer fits United’s needs.
Old Trafford legend Roy Keane is among those backing that verdict.
The former United hardman said earlier this season: “Wan-Bissaka, I don’t even think Palace would take him back!
“He’s not good enough for Manchester United. No feel for the ball, decision making.
“But what Manchester United have always had over the years is players with character, with personalities – I don’t see it with this group.”
