His brilliant performances this season have increased interest in him, with several Premier League clubs linked to the Nigerian.

But Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti will be keen to hang on to one of his main stars, with the club on a run of 11 wins in all competitions.

Their latest came away at Roma in a huge derby and established the club from Naples as serious contenders for this year’s title.

His goal came ten minutes from time, as he spun ex-Manchester United defender Chris Smalling and unleashed a thunderous volley from a tight angle.

The ball cradled into the corner of the net and the 23-year-old was quickly mobbed by his team-mates in celebration.

Calciomercato report his performance upped the interest of Chelsea scouts who are tracking him.

He is one of a number of European stars who the Blues are believed to be interested in and it is hoped he could bring some dynamism to their attack.

A huge fee of at least £87million is believed to be the price that might tempt Roma to sell.

But Osimhen is also a target of Manchester United and the Red Devils were linked with the star in the summer.

Arsenal and Newcastle have also been reported as targeting the forward.

Osimhen arrived at Napoli from Lille in 2020 in an £81m transfer

He already has four goals and one assist in his seven matches this season so far.
