Barcelona 3 Inter Milan 3 LIVE RESULT: Barca’s Champions League hopes hang by thread despite Lewandowski’s late double

BARCELONA are all but out of the Champions League having failed to beat Inter Milan tonight at the Nou Camp.

Robert Lewandowski’s stoppage time header rescued a point for the Spanish giants after it seemed as if Robin Gosens had won it for Inter.

But it now means that Barca need Inter to lose both of their final group games to stand a chance of progressing to the knock-out stages.

  • That’s all from Barcelona

Barcelona and Inter Milan drew 3-3 in a stunning Champions League encounter at the Nou Camp.

Barca put together an impressive first half that saw them pick up the lead on 40 minutes when Raphinha played Sergi Roberto through and the full-back set Ousmane Dembele up in the penalty area.

The Blaugrana went back to the dressing room with the lead but Inter managed to turn things around in just 13 minutes in the second half.

Nicolo Barella met a smart free-kick by Alessandro Bastoni and beat Marc-Andre ter Stegen from close range on 50 minutes.

Lautaro Martinez then netted his first Champions League goal of the season after 63 minutes when he chested Hakan Calhanoglu’s long ball and hit the back of the net with a clinical shot.

Barcelona equalised with Robert Lewandowski’s weak shot on 82 minutes but Inter regained the lead only seven minutes later when Lautaro teed Robin Gosens to his left and he beat Ter Stegen with ease.

However, Lewandowski put his team back in the game as he headed a cross by Eric Garcia past Andre Onana in the second minute of stoppage time.

Inter, though, managed to hold on and Barca might be looking at another early Champions League exit.

  • What does this mean?

Barcelona’s 3-3 draw with Inter Milan has practically ended their hopes of making it through to the Champions League Last 16.

Barca are set to face high-flying Bayern Munich at the Nou Camp whereas Inter take on Viktoria Plzen, who are pointless, at the San Siro on October 26.

If the Nerazurri beat Plzen, and logic suggests they will, then they are officially through to the knockouts.

The same goes if the Blaugrana lose to Bayern in Catalonia, which will see Xavi’s men crashing out of Europe’s premiere competition for the second year in a row and dropping to the Europa League
