WILLIAM SALIBA is set for his second Arsenal debut TWO YEARS after his last first team appearance.
The 21-year-old hasn’t featured for the Gunners under Mikel Arteta since the 4-1 pre-season victory against MK Dons in 2020.

Since his transfer, Saliba has enjoyed three loan spells away from the Emirates having returned to St-Etienne, before impressing at Nice and Marseille.
Arsenal academy chief Per Mertesacker has urged Arteta to give Saliba a chance in the upcoming season after he was recently named as the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year.
The centre-back is claimed to be open to a permanent move away should he fail to be guaranteed a starting spot next term.

Arteta is confident that the player is now finally ready to make his mark in England.
In a recent interview with Arsenal’s website, Saliba vowed to fight for a place in Arteta’s line-up.
“My plan is to fight and work with the team, win as much as possible, and grow more.
“It feels good to be back and starting pre-season.
