Tottenham vs Leeds LIVE: Stream, score, TV channel, team news confirmed for Conte’s first home Prem game – latest

ANTONIO CONTE will be hoping for his first Premier League win as Tottenham boss when his side take on Leeds today in north London.

The Italian could only guide his side to a draw in his first league clash with Everton two weeks ago, so will be hoping for a response form his players.

  • 226 MINUTES AND COUNTING

Spurs failed to register an attempt on target in both Nuno Espirito Santo’s final game in charge – the 3-0 home defeat to Manchester United – and Antonio Conte’s first, the goalless draw at Everton.

In total, it’s five consecutive halves of football without a shot on target for the North London outfit, a worrying total of 226 minutes.

Since Opta began recording detailed shot data during the 2003-04 campaign, no side has ever failed to have a shot on target in three consecutive Premier League games.

To dare is to dream, indeed.

  • LEEDS UNITED SUBSTITUTES

    13 Klaesson, 3 Firpo, 11 Roberts, 35 Cresswell, 37 Drameh, 39 McKinstry, 42 Greenwood, 25 McCarron, 47 Jenkins

  • LEEDS UNITED XI

As suggested, there is no Raphinha in the Leeds squad this afternoon – nor is there Rodrigo – meaning Leeds are without arguably their two most important players. Their absence are the only two changes made by Marcelo Bielsa, who brings in Mateusz Klich and 19-year-old Joe Gelhardt. The teenager has impressed off the bench recently, and has now been rewarded with his first Premier League start at the head of Leeds’ 4-2-3-1 shape. The visitors’ lack of depth is highlighted by a substitutes’ bench that includes five 19-year-olds and two 20-year-olds.

    1 Meslier; 15 Dallas, 14 Llorente, 6 Cooper, 21 Struijk; 23 Phillips; 4 Forshaw; 20 James, 43 Klich, 22 Harrison; 30 Gelhardt

  • TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR SUBSTITUTES

    22 Gollini, 2 Doherty, 6 Sanchez, 11 Gil, 14 Rodon, 19 Sessegnon, 20 Dele, 23 Bergwijn, 28 Ndombele

  • TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR XI

It’s two changes for Tottenham following their goalless draw at Everton a fortnight ago. Centre-back Cristian Romero is injured and is expected out for the next few weeks, and is replaced in the back three by Japhet Tanganga. In midfield, Oliver Skipp is suspended after collecting five yellow cards so Harry Winks partners Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. Antonio Conte again opts for his trademark 3-4-3 formation with Emerson Royal and Sergio Reguilon putting in the yards on either flank.

    1 Lloris; 25 Tanganga, 15 Dier, 33 Davies; 12 Emerson, 5 Hojbjerg, 8 Winks, 3 Reguilon; 27 Lucas Moura, 7 Son; 10 Kane

  • MILESTONE MEETING

This afternoon marks the 100th match between Spurs and Leeds in all competitions.

History has the clubs finely balanced, although it is the Londoners that have the edge with 37 wins to Leeds’ 33; there have been 29 draws to date.

The Yorkshire outfit were the victors when the sides last met back in May, but that was at Elland Road. It’s been 20 years since Leeds last won at Tottenham when goals from Ian Harte and Lee Bowyer overturned a Les Ferdinand strike.

Ian Harte nets a penalty in Leeds’ 2-1 win at Tottenham back in February 2001.
  • RAPHINHA ABSENCE?

The Leeds United players have arrived at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and several social media accounts associated with the Yorkshire club are reporting that there is no sign of Raphinha.

The Brazilian has been Leeds’ standout player this season, scoring five of the club’s 11 league goals, and would be a huge miss for Marcelo Bielsa’s team

  • MATCH ODDS

It’s been almost three Premier League matches since a Spurs player registered an attempt on goal but, nevertheless, the hosts are odds-on to see off Leeds this afternoon.

    • Spurs win 7/10
    • Draw 3/1
    • Leeds win 4/1

Odds from Betfair correct at the time of publication.

  • LILYWHITES ON SHOW

Good afternoon and welcome to live SunSport coverage of the Premier League clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United.

It’s been a stop-start season for both of these famous old clubs but after at international break in which newcomers were able to settle into roles, and players either returned from injury or rediscovered form, today offers an opportunity to ‘go again.’

For Spurs, it’s a first Premier League home game in charge for Antonio Conte, and a chance to end their woes in front of goal.

Only Norwich have scored fewer times that Tottenham this season, and it’s been almost three games since one of their players even managed a shot on target.

Despite having two of the most talented forwards in the Premier League, those attacking deficiencies eventually did for Nuno Espirito Santo, so now it is Conte a new confidence, new philosophy, and no sauces, in charge of the team.

Leeds’ frontline has been hampered to, not least due to the prolonged absence of Patrick Bamford.

However, in Raphinha, the Yorkshire club can lay claim to one of the most in-form men in the top-flight. His five goals – three from outside the box – have kept Leeds outside of the relegation zone in this, their difficult second season among the big boys.

Kick-off in the capital is set for 4.30pm, and we’ll soon have confirmation of today’s teams as part of our pre-match preamble.

A goal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium: Spurs fans haven’t seen one for a while.
