Talks between club and City’s record scorer over an extension are ongoing but Pochettino is prepared to swoop for his signature.

Aguero is able to sign a pre-contract agreement with a European club this month ahead of a free transfer in the summer.

According to football agent Bruno Satin, Poch believes the 32-year-old could be a welcome addition to his squad alongside Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.

Aguero, who has 256 goals for Pep Guardiola’s side, has seen his season marred by injuries having been limited to five league appearances.

PSG are just one of few clubs who will be able to afford Aguero’s wages which currently stand at around £230,00 a week.

The French champions are also in the market for a new striker after Edinson Cavani left in the summer.

Pochettino’s raid on the Premier League is set to continue with an enquiry for Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli.

The England ace was a key player under his tutelage but has fallen out of favour under Jose Mourinho.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is said to be reluctant to let the Englishman leave despite him playing just four times in the Premier League this season.

Poch will look to land Alli on loan with a view to a permanent deal.
