Pundit Graeme Souness believes the only thing Chelsea are missing is a world class striker.

And Souness thinks the Blues should go all out to land prolific finisher Haaland this summer.

Souness told Sky Sports: “Other than having an out and out 25-30 goals a season man, Chelsea are pretty near the finished article.

“If they get that, they’ll be very dangerous. If they can land one in the summer you never know.

“No one is talking about them for the guy at Dortmund, (Erling) Haaland. Would they have a go there?

“I’m sure the owner would have a go if he saw any encouragement this year that they could be the team to win the big trophies, his eyes are only on the league and the Champions League, Roman Abramovich. I think he would go again (and spend big for Haaland).”

Chelsea boss Tuchel has also warned his misfiring strikers, with Timo Werner short on goals and confidence, they need to show him the club do not need to bolster their attack this summer.

Tuchel told Goal: “For the next eight weeks, we just have to think how we can improve the scoring and the scoring situation, and nothing else, and then in the summer we will think further and think together with the club about what solutions are the best solutions for us.

“Is it the best solution to stay with our squad? Is it the best solution to stay in the formation that we have? Can we improve?

“Can we improve on the training pitch individually and as a group? To create more big chances? These are the questions for June.”
