  • REAL INJURY UPDATE

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is hoping that Ferland Mendy and Toni Kroos will be available for Tuesday’s Champions League semi-final against Chelsea.

Real captain Sergio Ramos is going to remain sidelined but could return in time for the second leg at Stamford Bridge.

Zidane said: “The intention is that Mendy and Kroos return [for Chelsea], but we have to see.

“We have to recover as Tuesday is going to be the most difficult of the season”

  • RING THE BEL

Barcelona have significantly lowered their asking price for striker Ousmane Dembele.

That is according to reports in Spain, which claim that Dembele will be available for a fee in the region of €50million (£44m) and €60m (£52m) in the summer transfer window.

The France international has repeatedly been linked with Manchester United in the past.

The 23-year-old’s contract runs out next year and Barca will want to make sure they don’t lose him for free in the summer of 2022

  • KANE FUTURE

Former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp believes star striker Harry Kane will stay at Spurs in the summer.

Reports suggested that Kane, who has been linked with Manchester United and Manchester City, will leave the north Londoners at the end of the season if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.

However, Redknapp is confident the England captain will remain loyal to the club after Jose Mourinho’s replacement is announced.

Redknapp told Goal: “I think he’ll stay. I think the new manager will come in and convince him that they’ll be having a go and signing a few more players.

“There’s nobody better than him. I wouldn’t swap him for any centre-forward in the world, personally.

“He would guarantee Man City, Man Utd or Liverpool winning the league next season, for sure. He’s a fantastic player. Tottenham have to keep him”

  • AUBAMEYANG FITNESS UPDATE

Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang shared a promising fitness update on social media.

Aubameyang has been sidelined these past two weeks after being diagnosed with malaria while on international duty with Gabon’s national team.

However, the star striker appears to be making some serious progress as he shared a story on Instagram showing him working out in the gym.

Nevertheless, it is not yet certain if the ex-Borussia Dortmund ace will play any part against Unai Emery’s Villarreal on Thursday in Spain

  • ESL JOKE

Manchester United legendary captain Roy Keane showed glimpses of his humour on social media.

Keane directed a rare joke towards former team-mate Gary Neville following his passionate opposition against the failed European Super League project.

Neville was among the loudest voices condemning the ESL format and even called for clubs involved to be punished, including his former club United.

Keane is also opposed with the proposed project but that didn’t stop him and fellow United legend Paul Scholes from directing a tongue-in-cheek jibe towards their former team-mate

  • RODGERS PAST

Tottenham want to sign Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers as their new manager.

However, Spurs and Rodgers have a past following the Foxes bosses’ past comments towards the north Londoners.

The Northern Irishman was approached by Tottenham in 2012 after an impressive two-year spell at Swansea.

However, the 48-year-old signed with Liverpool and angered Spurs by saying he was relieved he snubbed them in favour of the Reds.

Although some are still sore about Rodgers’ past comments he is still targeted as Jose Mourinho’s replacement

  • HOT ROD

Tottenham want Brendan Rodgers to become their new manager in the summer.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is trying to convince fellow executives that Rodgers is still the right man for the job.

The Northern Irishman has been working wonders with the Foxes ever since joining them from Celtic in 2019 as he led them to Europa League qualification in his full maiden season and is now set to take them back to the Champions League.

Levy is looking for someone to replace Jose Mourinho, who was fired earlier this week, while Ryan Mason has filled in as interim head coach

  • BEST OF THE RES

Villarreal star Pau Torres is still among Manchester United’s transfer targets ahead of the summer market.

According to Manchester Evening News, Torres may well be on his way out of the Yellow Submarines at the end of the season as he has been seeking advice from friends about a possible transfer.

The 24-year-old defender has also attracted interest from Manchester City following a string of impressive performances under Unai Emery.

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly desperate to sign a new defender that can partner up with Harry Maguire at centre-back
