Best managers of 21st century by league points revealed with Arsenal legend Arsene Wenger beating rival Jose Mourinho

CARLO ANCELOTTI tops the list of managers who have won the most league points in the 21st century.

The Real Madrid boss leads a star-studded field of coaches who have clocked up more than 11,000 points between them.

Ancelotti has bagged a whopping 1434 points in over 700 games at European giants including AC Milan, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and Bayern Munich.

His managerial career started at Reggiana back in 1995 and shows little sign of stopping now with Real in the La Liga mix this season.

In second just 53 points behind the Italian is former Arsenal gaffer Arsene Wenger.

The Frenchman’s longevity at the Gunners is clear to see after he notched 702 games with the club in the new millennium.

He sits comfortably clear of arch rival Jose Mourinho, who once famously dubbed the 72-year-old a ‘specialist in failure’.

The Roma boss comes in at third on the list despite his explosive record of boom and bust at clubs under his charge.

Mourinho was dismissed by Tottenham in April this year having been given his marching orders by Manchester United in 2018.

Legendary Red Devils manager Sir Alex Ferguson takes his place inside the top five despite having retired eight years ago.

The 79-year-old was in charge at Old Trafford from 1986 to 2013 and managed to claim an astonishing 1132 points since the turn of the century.

Poised behind Fergie are two of Premier League A-Listers – just 38 points separate Man City’s Pep Guardiola and Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp in the exclusive table.
