According to Football London, Arsenal are considering a permanent move for Brandt.

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly prepared to offload him for a fee of £22 million.

The report states that the German star would be ‘willing’ to move to the Emirates.

Dortmund chief Michael Zorc has refused to rule out a move for Brandt this month.

He said: “My years of activity have taught me that I don’t rule anything out at the beginning of a transfer period.”

Reports had claimed that Arsenal and Dortmund were in advanced talks over the move.

But Zorc – who was once an Arsenal target himself – confirmed there has no been no contact.

“I read that too, I can’t say more about it. Nobody has contacted us and there is nothing on the table – and not even in the fax machine.”

Brandt has made 22 appearances in all competitions this season for the German side, who he joined from Bayer Leverkusen in 2019.

Arsenal have also been heavily linked to Norwich star Emi Buendia as an alternative option.

Arteta is prepared to use Joe Willock or Reiss Nelson in a player-plus-cash deal for Buendia.

The report adds that the Gunners have already started early discussions with the player’s agent.
