Tyson Fury wants Mike Tyson ‘past vs present’ exhibition fight if he cannot face Dillian Whyte after Deontay Wilder

TYSON FURY has sensationally opened the door to a ‘past vs present’ exhibition with his namesake Mike Tyson.

The WBC champion faces Deontay Wilder in a contracted trilogy bout on October 9, following his February 2020 rematch win.

Beforehand, Fury revealed a five-fight plan, which included Wilder, Dillian Whyte, Anthony Joshua and Derek Chisora.

It would see him face Whyte, 33, in December before twice facing Joshua, 31, and then agreeing a trilogy with Chisora, 37, despite his two prior wins.

But, in a stunning reveal, Fury, 33, admitted he would welcome a spectacle fight with Iron Mike, 55, the man he was named after.

Fury told iFL: “I like all these fights happening. You’ve got Holyfield fighting Vitor Belfort this weekend. I’m looking forward to that.

“Holyfield is 60 years old, the other guy is 45 – why should we kill these people’s dreams because they are getting fit, having a go and giving their self a goal?

“I love watching Mike come back and fight you know, I would love to fight Mike Tyson in an exhibition.

“If the Dillian Whyte doesn’t happen, then I would love to Mike in an exhibition.

“Tyson vs Tyson, past vs present and there is just so much fun to have out there in this game.”

Tyson returned to the ring after 15 years out in November when he drew in an exhibition with Roy Jones Jr, 52, over eight rounds.

He was then in talks for a trilogy with Holyfield, 58, whose ear he infamously bit in their 1997 rematch, a year after he was beaten in 11 rounds.

But after talks broke down, Holyfield will now fight Belfort, who was due to face Oscar De La Hoya, before the 48-year-old pulled out with coronavirus.

If the Dillian Whyte doesn’t happen, then I would love to Mike in an exhibition.

Fury meanwhile faces Wilder, 35, in a trilogy bout having been ordered to do so in arbitration, which saw his unification with Joshua collapse.

But he still hopes to twice fight his heavyweight rival as the Gyspy King mapped out his ideal fighting future.

He said: “I have a bucket list and my next five fights in mind.

“I am going to have a December fight after this, because Joshua won’t happen then, it’ll happen in March.

“It’s Wilder on October 9 – Dillian Whyte in December in a UK stadium where I will shut him up once and for all.

“Then Joshua in March in Saudi Arabia and then a rematch back here in Wembley.

“Then I will fight Chisora in my fifth and final fight.”
