Dillian Whyte wants Anthony Joshua bout NOW rather than waiting for shot at Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3 winner

DILLIAN WHYTE has joined the party as he targets an upcoming bout with Anthony Joshua.

Heavyweight champ Joshua was initially set to face WBC king Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia in August.

That was before the Court of Arbitration ruled the Gypsy King must fight Deontay Wilder for a third and final time.

Their bout is now scheduled to take place on July 24 leaving AJ braced to take on Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.

Whyte’s trainer Xavier Miller threw the boxer in the mix on Monday by putting up an Instagram post that read: “We want Wilder v Fury 3 winner.”

But The Body Snatcher quickly put the record straight and announced his intentions to take on Joshua instead.

He responded: “No, I want AJ now next.”

Whyte’s desires could be more hope than expectation after the WBO ordered Joshua to fight Usyk.

The two fighters have until May 31 to reach an agreement for a fight or their purse bids will be cancelled.

Meanwhile, Fury has promised British boxing fans that his collapsed bout with Joshua WILL go ahead this year.

Fury told ESPN: “I’ve got to beat up Deontay Wilder a bit better than I did last time, because he didn’t get a good enough hiding last time.

“This time I’m going to really double, double, treble smash him.

“100 per cent [I’ll fight Joshua]. AJ’s got a big mouth and no substance.

“He says I’m the one that does all the talking, but if I didn’t talk boxing would be stone dead because I’m the only character alive left in it.

“Let’s say that for a fact. [The Joshua fight] happens this year.

“I’m gonna deal with this mug, Deontay Wilder, I’m knocking him out cold, and then I’m going to deal with the other guy straightaway.”
