Who is Mo Farah?

Sir Mo Farah, 37, was born in Mogadishu, Somalia on March 23, 1983.

As the civil war in Somalia worsened, he joined his father in England aged eight, barely speaking a word of the language.

Farah was identified for his athleticism at secondary school in Feltham and says his dream was to become either a mechanic or an Arsenal winger, but instead went on to be an Olympic hero.
