Wales’ new yellow away kit in line for Wembley debut as Dragons take on old foes England in October

WALES could wear their new yellow away kit for the first time against England when they meet at Wembley.

The latest adidas kit, launched on Tuesday and modelled by Chris Mepham, may be used in the friendly on October 8.

Ryan Giggs’ side are due to wear their traditional red strip when they face Finland in the Nations League on Thursday night.

But Wales may change to their second kit for the trip to English football against Gareth Southgate’s men.

In the previous meeting between the arch rivals at Euro 2016, the Dragons also wore their alternative – the ‘unlucky’ grey strip.

Previous boss Chris Coleman eventually ditched the charcoal and lime green kit after a poor set of results – including the 2-1 defeat to the Three Lions in Lens.

Since then Wales have had a white kit but Giggs will hope yellow brings better fortune for his side.

Wales’ women’s side will wear the new yellow kit for the first time when they take on Norway in a Euro qualifier on September 22.

The Real Madrid superstar has been frozen out by Zinedine Zidane at the Bernabeu, playing just 100 minutes of their previous 12 games.

But Bale linked up with Ryan Giggs’ Wales on Sunday and was seen laughing and joking with his team-mates at their Vale of Glamorgan HQ on the outskirts of Cardiff.

Giggs admits he has not been in touch with Bernabeu chief ZZ about the 31-year-old.

He said: “I haven’t spoken to Zidane.

“My French and Spanish isn’t too good. That’s my way out of that one.

“I know Zidane’s English isn’t very good from experience.”
