Real Madrid plot Kylian Mbappe and Eduardo Camavinga transfer swoops in 2021 as Zidane eyes overhaul

REAL MADRID are reportedly plotting a double swoop for Kylian Mbappe and Eduardo Camavinga in 2021.

Spanish publication Sport claims that Zinedine Zidane has told his French compatriots not to renew their contracts with their current clubs.

The financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic means that Madrid are unlikely to invest millions in the transfer market this summer.

Yet the Spanish giants are hopeful of a huge spree in 2021 and have eyed moves for Mbappe and Camavinga.

Both players have contracts with their Ligue 1 clubs, Paris Saint-Germain and Rennes, respectively, until 2022.

Should they opt against renewing their current deals, the French sides may be forced to accept a reduced offer for their stars next year rather than risk losing them for free.

Mbappe has been linked with a move to Madrid since his Monaco days after growing up with Los Blancos posters on his bedroom wall.

The striker has reportedly been offered a staggering £600,000-a-week contract to remain with the Ligue 1 champions.

Yet Mbappe was said to be unwilling to pen a new deal unless a clause was inserted allowing him to move to Madrid if Real match PSG’s asking price.

The World Cup winner’s move to Los Blancos was said to be “almost done” before the coronavirus pandemic.

Meanwhile, Zidane has also been focusing his attention on 17-year-old Camavinga.

The youngster was made a top priority as the Spanish outfit look to sign a defensive midfielder and long-term replacement for Casemiro.

Rennes had been asking for around £60m amid interest from Arsenal and Manchester United but clubs are unlikely to spend such money due to the coronavirus crisis.
