Fans’ favourites are to issue the plea through their social media platforms ahead of games starting on Wednesday.

Warnings have been issued by police chiefs and the government for fans to stay away from the behind-closed-doors matches.

Around three hundred people will be allowed into the stadiums for each match day.

Premier League chiefs will be pushing a vital slogan to fans of “Support Your Club. Stay Safe. Follow At Home.”

The remaining 92 games are expected to be played at the designated grounds although neutral venues are still under consideration.

Sports Minister Nigel Huddleston said: “My message to fans eagerly awaiting the return of the action, is follow your team as passionately and fervently as ever but please do so from the safety of home.

“All 92 remaining Premier League games will be broadcast live on television and radio, with more than a third of them on free-to-air television after a deal we helped strike with the host broadcasters. So you won’t have to miss a single piece of the action.”

‘Enjoy the return of the beautiful game from your sofa’

IT’S been three long months without English football, which has meant a lot of empty weekends and fantasy leagues stuck in limbo.

But it’s back on Wednesday. And I, like fans across the country, can’t wait.

We have been working long and hard with the football authorities, medical experts and the police to get to this point, and I am confident in the plans for its safe return.

Of course, it will be a different game to what we’re used to – no crowds, no handshakes, and no watching the match with your friends in a crowded pub.

But it will be the beautiful game all the same.

My message to fans eagerly awaiting the return of the action is, follow your team as passionately and fervently as ever but please do so from the safety of home.

All 92 remaining Premier League games will be broadcast live on television and radio, with more than a third of them on free-to-air television after a deal we helped strike with the host broadcasters.

So you won’t have to miss a single piece of the action.

It’s also fantastic to have Championship action due back from June 20, with more than a quarter of the remaining matches broadcast on television and season ticket holders able to live stream all their club’s remaining fixtures.

So I urge you not to be tempted to gather in big numbers to watch your team play or flock to stadiums when games are on.

We all need to continue to do our bit and follow the social distancing rules and regulations. If we don’t, people will be put in danger and football’s future will be under threat. And none of us want that.

We’re all keen to get fans back into stadiums, where they belong, but only when it’s safe to do so. Until then, enjoy the return of the beautiful game from your sofa.
