Police search for alleged thief who is dead ringer for Man City boss Pep Guardiola… sending fans into hysterics

COPS are hunting a crook who is a dead-ringer for Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

The man is wanted for a string of offences in the north of England – but none are football-related.

Cops in Blackpool say the alleged offender is linked to an aggravated burglary, assault and criminal damage, as well as recall to prison.

Lancashire Police issued the CCTV image on Twitter and told the public: “Police in Blackpool have issued CCTV images of a man wanted in connection with offences including burglary, aggravated burglary, assault on an emergency worker, common assault and criminal damage.”

One follower told the force: “Pep not taken to losing the title very well.”

Another mentioned the suspect might have been located at the Etihad Stadium for Thursday night’s 4-0 trouncing of new Premier League champions Liverpool, adding: “Between 8pm and 10pm.”

But another person joked: “Grass.”

And a third added: “While interviewing Pep, could you have a word with a couple of his centre backs? They’re stealing a living.”

Pep’s mugshot double is a similar story to that of a beer thief – also from Blackpool – who was a dead ringer for Friends legend David Schwimmer.

CCTV images showed the man nicking beer from a shop and prompted the US actor to hilariously recreate the booze heist.

Though the long-arm of the law did catch up with the culprit and he was jailed in August last year for a string of offending.
