Max Allegri ‘has deal with great English club’ and will snub Juventus and AC Milan amid Man Utd links

FORMER Juventus boss Max Allegri has a deal in place with a “great English club”, according to Italian reports.

Allegri’s Juve replacement Maurizio Sarri could be facing the sack at the Serie A champs and the Old Lady reportedly want the 52-year-old back to replace him.

AC Milan were also said to have approached former boss Allegri but he will refuse any offers from Italy because of a deal already in place “with a great English club”, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Italian outlet claims any approach from the San Siro side was not serious and while the Juve job could soon become available given their recent slump under Sarri, Allegri already has a Premier League agreement in place.

However, the Prem side in question remains unclear, although he has been heavily linked with Manchester United.

Arsenal can be virtually discounted having recently appointed Mikel Arteta.

Allegri also all but ruled out ever taking the job having been snubbed after Arsene Wenger left.

The Gunners’ North London rivals Tottenham also seems an unlikely destination given Spurs’ recent appointment of Jose Mourinho.

However, the Special One has hardly hit the ground running and has been subject to some criticism since his arrival.

London seems an unlikely destination with Chelsea also having landed a new manager in the shape of Frank Lampard.

Allegri has been linked with the Blues in the past and while Lampard has failed to set the Premier League alight since his arrival, he is still clinging on to fourth place and is afforded some leeway given Chelsea’s lack of transfer activity.

Manchester seems a much more likely location for Allegri with United and City potentially in need of a new manager sooner than their London counterparts.

With Juventus planning a “money no object” move to bring Pep Guardiola to Turin, the idea of an Allegri arrival at the Etihad is not too far-fetched.

But Old Trafford still seems the most likely hotseat up for grabs.

United are floundering in eighth in the Prem and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been under pressure for some time.

And after Mauricio Pochettino was spotted watching Leeds’ game at Brentford with Ed Woodward’s new PR guru last night, fans are certain Solskjaer’s days are numbered.
