Mauricio Pochettino set to launch double PSG transfer swoop for Tottenham pair Hugo Lloris and Dele Alli

MAURICIO POCHETTINO is reportedly plotting a swoop on old club Tottenham for Hugo Lloris and Dele Alli once confirmed as Paris Saint-Germain boss.

The Ligue 1 champions finally confirmed the sacking of Thomas Tuchel on Tuesday.

The German boss, 47, was given the boot on the back of last week’s 4-0 win over Strasbourg, with PSG one point off top spot in the league.

Now, Pochettino – who captained PSG as a player – is on the brink of taking over at the Parc des Princes after holding talks with club bosses.

And Eurosport claims Poch, who was axed by Spurs in November 2019, will return to his former team for reinforcements once announced.

Out-of-favour midfielder Alli, 24, has been linked with the French giants for months.

Jose Mourinho clearly has a lack of faith in the England international and has barely used him this term, and criticised him last week for his role in Stoke’s goal during their Carabao Cup quarter-final victory.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is believed to have blocked an attempt by PSG to sign him last summer, but now they are reportedly preparing a swoop to secure him on loan next month.

The former MK Dons ace is also said to be keen on the prospect of playing abroad.

Meanwhile, French international goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has also emerged as another name linked with a Poch reunion.

And the 34-year-old stopper and Alli are not the only Tottenham stars being linked.

Today’s report also states that ‘sources close to the London club are expecting the names of Serge Aurier and Harry Winks’ to crop up on his transfer wishlist.

Mourinho is unlikely to sanction the departure of all those players due to the club’s continued involvement in four competitions.

Poch has already been told he must sell to help fund new signings, although he is believed to have been promised a big war chest to help bring in new additions.

But most of his big business will have to wait until the summer, although he is expected to secure some new faces over the coming weeks.

Another ex-Tottenham star is also being lined-up by him for PSG.

Playmaker Christan Eriksen was the most-used player by Poch during his time at Spurs.

And after a miserable year at Inter Milan, a potential swap deal involving Leandro Paredes could be on the cards.
