Mauricio Pochettino refusing to watch Tottenham’s All Or Nothing Amazon doc… except the 25 minutes he is in

MAURICIO POCHETTINO has only watched the 25 minutes of Tottenham’s documentary that he is in.

The 48-year-old only featured in the first episode of the club’s “All or Nothing” series with Amazon.

Mauricio Pochettino appeared on the Between The Line podcast

The opening stages of the documentary shows Pochettino’s final months at the club.

He watched it up until the moment he was sacked in 2019 and replaced by Jose Mourinho.

Speaking on Melissa Reddy’s podcast Between The Lines, Pochettino and his assistant Jesus Perez were quizzed about the documentary.

The former Spurs boss said: “Me and Jesus, we only watched the first 25 minutes, until we left the club.

“We watched, and to be honest, it was correct. No more or no less.

“It was like ‘OK, we need to put that Jesus, Toni, Miguel, Sebastiano and Mauricio were there, but it’s nothing to do with the documentary’.

“Being honest, I think we feel responsible because it was very difficult to say yes to open the door to Amazon, who came to Tottenham at a very difficult moment for us.

“And, of course, I feel sorry for Jesus, because he spent time from 7am trying to help the Amazon people to make that all work with the players, with the staff, with everything.

“And to be honest, after 25 minutes watching, I think Jesus appeared one time with me.

“OK, five and a half years [at the club] and we’re only in the scenario for 25 minutes, trying to justify why we left the club.

“But I understand, because it’s a documentary that’s trying to put the club in a good place.

“The club is not going to open the door to Amazon to create a problem after the documentary. I think, it’s difficult to be natural.

“But I hope they will achieve what they wanted doing this, you know, I think it’s important to show the facilities of the club, the new stadium, the new training ground that we were so involved in helping Daniel to design.”

SunSport understands even Spurs staff were shocked by how little footage of Pochettino made the cut.

Mourinho is the focus of attention following his arrival, just days after Pochettino’s exit.

The Special One caused a stir as he branded England international Dele Alli as “lazy”.

And the fly-on-the-wall series caught a number of explosive moments on camera, including Son Heung-min’s red card against Chelsea.

Mourinho was also caught on camera ordering his players to be a “bunch of a c***s.”

Despite ending on a sour note, Pochettino looks back fondly on his five-year reign in North London.

He continued: “I still love the fans, I still love the club, and of course, I have a different appreciation for Daniel and the people that work there and the players.

“Jose is a very good friend, I wish them all the best and that they can achieve some titles that Daniel can enjoy, and, of course, reflects all the effort that we were doing in the past to create the fantastic club that it is today.”
