MANCHESTER UNITED’S modest hero Victor Lindelof told how he chased and caught a thief who he saw steal his 90-year-old aunt’s purse.
The Sweden centre-back says he “just wanted to help” as he held the man until police arrived.

Now Lindelof is just relieved his aunt is physically fine after the theft.
Swedish newspaper aftonbladet quote the 26-year-old as saying: “Everything went very fast. I did not think much.
“I just wanted to help my aunt get her bag back and what she had in it.
“It was nothing more than that, I just wanted to help.”
But local officials praised the former Benfica star, who is on holiday in home town Vasteras with wife Maja.
They said: “The police would like to thank the witness for a rapid and sensible intervention made to restore the plaintiff’s property.”
And a United spokesperson added: “He ran after the thief and got the bag back without using any violence.
“Victor believes he was just doing what anybody would have done in that situation.”
The alleged culprit, a man in his thirties, was later released but faces charges of “aggravated theft” and “minor drug offences”.
Lindelof revealed he hopes to check on his aunt but fears the Covid-19 pandemic might make that difficult.
He said: “I have not had any contact with her, unfortunately.
“I think it was my brother who showed that she did an interview and invited me over for lunch.
“We will see if I can solve it before I go back, but it can probably be a little difficult during corona times.”
