Leon Bailey puts Man Utd and Arsenal on transfer red alert by signing for English agency Unique Sports Management

LEON BAILEY has put Manchester United and Arsenal on red alert by joining Will Salthouse’s Unique Sports Management Agency.

The Bayer Leverkusen star has been linked with moves to both teams as well as Tottenham.

Everton are also said to have sent scouts to watch the winger.

Jamaican international Bailey is valued around £40million and will be represented by his dad Craig Butler’s Phoenix Sports Management and Salthouse’s USM, according to the Mail.

USM will also work with Phoenix All Stars Academy in Jamaica where Bailey’s talents were developed.

USM’s current client list includes Manchester United stars Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Axel Tuanzebe, as well as Chelsea ace Reece James.

And Salthouse has a particularly close relationship with West Ham with seven clients currently on the books at the East Londoners.

Aaron Cresswell, Michail Antonio, Craig Dawson, Ryan Fredericks, Darren Randolph and new signing Said Benrahma are the first teamers on the list.

And players of several other Prem clubs – including Newcastle, Fulham, Crystal Palace and Sheffield United – also have players represented by USM.

Bailey, 23, has scored nine goals and bagged seven assists in 19 assists this season.

USM’s Mike Appiason said: “Leon is a fantastic player with an even better story.

“He is having a fantastic season so far as are Leverkusen.

“No doubt he will have many takers but for now his focus remains solely on helping Leverkusen finish the season as strongly as possible.”

Butler said: “Collaborations are the order of the day to maximise opportunities.

“Having an honest, hardworking and experienced team in England is key to our long-term plan for Leon and the plethora of super-talented players we have coming through the Phoenix All Stars Football Academy from all over the Caribbean.

“So we chose to partner with Mike and his team at USM.”

Arsenal are said to be leading the race for Bailey’s signature.

Earlier this month, he denied he named his son after Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Bailey and long-term partner Stephanie celebrated the birth of their first child in June.

And having called the little lad Leo Cristiano, he has obviously faced a lot of questions.

But the 23-year-old has quashed such suggestions, insisting it was a personal choice.

He told German outlet Bild: “It has nothing to do with football, but with me and my name.

“Leo is an abbreviation of Leon. And Leo is the lion – I am a lion.

“I believe that my son will also grow up with the mentality of being a fighter and a leader.

“And Cristiano is a lovely name that goes well with Leo.”

Jamaica international Bailey is also close friends with Raheem Sterling and Usain Bolt.

The forward attended Manchester City ace Sterling’s Great Gatsby themed 25th birthday last December.

And he was also at Bolt’s surprise birthday bash in August which drew criticism in Germany because the sprint legend was forced to isolate the day afterwards.
