Leeds are ultimate entertainers in Europe with most goals for and against ahead of Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Man Utd

LEEDS United have been a breath of a fresh air since their promotion last season.

Marcelo Bielsa’s free-scoring side taught West Brom a lesson in their last Premier League game – romping to a 5-0 win over Sam Allardyce’s side.

And they’ve already won plenty of admirers for their expansive style, even though sometimes it means they leak goals.

A 6-2 drubbing against Manchester United is case in point that they aren’t always on the right side of a goal landslide.

Incredibly though, if you combine their goals for and goals against record – there have been more goals in Leeds games than Liverpool, Manchester United and even Bayern Munich’s matches this season, according to Playmaker Stats.

THE MAGIC NUMBER

So far, Leeds have scored 30 times and conceded 30 goals in their 16 Premier League games this campaign.

It’s left the Whites in a comfortable mid-table position – just three points off the top five.

The nearest to those combined 60 goals is French side Brest’s 59 – who have scored 28 and conceded 31, albeit in 17 games.

Eerily enough, they also sit in 11th position in Ligue 1.

BEATING THE FAVOURITES

Next after Brest is European champions Bayern Munich who have 58 goals if you combine their for and against totals.

That said, the Germans have scored an impressive 39 times in just 13 games, although they’ve let in a leaky 19.

Liverpool, who boast forwards Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane, are also as prolific in front of goal – netting 37 times. They have a combined total of 57 goals for and against, which is the same as French side Montpellier.

Roma and Manchester United are sixth with 54 goals each, however, the Serie A agents have played one fewer game than the Red Devils.

But it’s Leeds United fans who are getting value for money thanks to blockbuster Bielsa. May the goals continue to flow.
