Inside luxury private jet Gareth Bale got from Madrid to seal Tottenham transfer – after the Queen used it last month

GARETH BALE travelled in luxury as he flew from Madrid to London to seal his return to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Welshman travelled alongside team-mate Sergio Reguilon with both ready to sign on the dotted line when they reach Hotspur Way.

And Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, although known for his tough negotiating, wasn’t going to let them travel in anything other than extreme comfort.

SunSport understands that the Tottenham chief, 58, sent a state-of-the-art luxury Embraer Legacy 600 jet to pick up his new star signings.

The 16-seater aircraft, used last month by Her Majesty the Queen no less, features three zones – all configured for first class comfort.

The plane, owned by Spurs chiefs ENIC, features sizeable leather seats – with polished wooden tables and a plethora of catering options.

Able to cruise at 490mph Bale, 31, and Reguilon, 23, will hardly have had any time at all to enjoy the luxurious perks of flying with the best.

Although for Spurs fans giddy with excitement, any second longer to wait will be too many.

The Legacy features a spacious interior – while passengers can also take in some mid-air entertainment with the two large screen TVs.

A satellite phone system can keep all aboard in the loop, while full-speed wireless internet is a given.

Levy has wasted no time in jetting the pair in, having agreed the stunning deals earlier this week.

Bale will return to the club where he spent six excellent years between 2007 and 2013 and emerged as a genuine superstar on a season-long loan.

Reguilon joins on a permanent basis for around £25m with Spurs having gazumped Manchester United to capture his signature – although Real Madrid do possess a buy-back clause of £41m.

With medicals and personal terms already completed in Madrid, all that’s left to do is sign on the dotted line – and some fans appear to think that Bale will even have time to tee off for a round of golf with Levy this afternoon, having spotted a booking at a local club.

The Spurs chairman himself could do with the opportunity to relax, having arrived at Hotspur Way early this morning as the final details of the deals were ironed out.

Spurs will pay a chunk of Bale’s £650,000-a-week wages – but SunSport revealed earlier this week that he may not be able to make his second debut until October 17 against West Ham.
